My friends and I had an amazing time here! We did the Dracula's castle room, which is their hardest room! The puzzles were fun to do and we only needed 3 hints to complete! This was our first escape room and we are already looking to do another one! read more

A group of 7 of us did the 1776 edition. It was challenging and I am so glad to have partaken in it. Unlike some of the other Escape Rooms I have been to, they allow you to take your phone in and the clues are given through a speaker. At times, it was hard to understand the clues so it would have been better possibly prompted on a screen? Even though we surpassed the hour, they allowed us some time to solve the case. Highly recommend if you are in the area! It is located in Downtown and the website is easy to manage for tickets. read more

Escape Room Lancaster - Escape Games Near Me - Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Excellent game master Ben for considering context of situation. One of the puzzles my group did, it was kinda hard to see and there was a lot to consider for a particular scenario. Otherwise, it was fluid and a lot of fun! The venue is across from a lock place, and they have gotten some of their locks from across the street- Neff's Locks I believe the place is called. The escape room enthusiast in me already knowingly recognized beforehand what the game master told me- the directional locks are no longer made (are discontinued.) By today's standards, the price per person is very reasonable for what you get. I think it's a great place to take a date if you know you and your date love doing escape rooms and are willing to pay your own way each or if you or the other person are willing to upfront the cost for both individuals. Please note that the rooms here require a 4 person minimum on weekends, and at least some of them require 2 minimum regularly. read more

The staff were friendly and the set up was very cool. My first escape room and it was definitely worth it !

This was super super fun but a little difficult. Or were we over thinking lol . We had to find all the stones and save the universe. Think but don't over think the clues were not that difficult just had to put it all together. We made it out with less then a minute to go. Try it out it was MARVELous, get it lol Marvel! Put on your thinking caps, bring your smart friends and save the universe! read more

This was really fun! We did the Imposter/Among Us challenge with a group of 7 (that included a 14,13, and 7 year old). We were able to finish and escape the room within the hour that we were given. I do think that people in the room should have some background knowledge of the Among Us game-otherwise you will be clueless during some portions. Our kids played the game and knew what certain clues meant. There were many challenging parts, but luckily the host gave us "hints" when we were stuck that helped us to move forward. Great points: -they allow you to practice opening different kinds of lock before entering which was helpful -the group is private so you're not with strangers -welcoming and friendly staff/environment -photo opportunity at the end with props Definitely recommend this if you need to challenge your mind while having fun. Kudos to the staff who develop these games. They really have creative minds and put a lot into doing this! read more

Went for a family bonding trip. Think it's perfect for large groups (8-12). Booking larger groups is a little tricky online so I called and spoke to Sarah over the phone and she was a great help. As first timers we arrived early but it took several minutes for us to be greeted by an employee since all employees are focused on the rooms in play. Would have been nice for someone to have been in the lobby at all times. Clocks in the lobby are not real so be sure to know the real time. As first timers it took a few moments to understand the game. Without a clue given by the staff I doubt we would have been able to get on track to solving the clues. All of us were able to get involve and be helpful in solving clues. Not a single one of us was left out. There was a strength for all of our skill sets. We escaped. Friendly staff and really clean bathrooms as well as escape rooms. Would love to go back Wanted to try the train room but was already out of play :( read more

Recently the company I work for did a 3 week elimination escape challenge. I got to do 3 of the 4 rooms. The staff was great all 3 times. Highly recommend taking the escape room challenge. read more

Did the "Escape the 80s" room, it was so fun and planned out so well! Good puzzles to try to solve! Definitely check this place out if you are in the area, they range from easy to hard! read more

We did the Greek Gods themed Escape room with a group of 6 people while I was in town visiting, it was a good amount of people for the task, and we beat the room... I am ranking this place 5-stars for two reasons: 1) I felt like it was "just the right amount of challenge" not too easy or too hard! 2) Also, the props and decorations and variety of clues were very well chosen! Thanks for the fun session! read more

Third time visiting here and still just as enjoyable! We tried the Holiday Madness Room this time. It was challenging and entertaining. The room moderator kept us on track and provided clues when we got stuck. Great decorations and interesting puzzles. I love rooms with other hidden rooms and this did not disappoint. They have a comfortable waiting room and clean bathrooms. Good location in a small strip center with good parking. Great entertainment at a reasonable cost. read more

This place is wonderful, our game master was great! We were from out of town and she moved around our game time so we could make it before we left town! The room theme was great, decor was better than many and difficulty was well done to be challenging without being impossible. The game master even made us take home souvenir for betting the room! read more

My boyfriend had such a great experience here! We had both done escape rooms before, but we really liked the puzzles in the Decoration Disaster room. They were logical and even involved a little basic math. The staff were very kind and helpful. We were able to each get $5 off as a student discount. After we escaped, we got to take our picture with photo props! I'd recommend coming here! read more

I went to the Escape Room not really sure what to expect. We decided to do the hardest room which is the Railroad Station. You only have an hour to get yourself out so we got to work trying to solve the puzzle. We had a group of 8 friends participate in the game. It really makes for a great time of you have people/friends who are into the game and get excited about it. It'll make for a long hour if you have people who don't participate. We finished the last clue and got out of the room with 4 mins left. I had a great time because it was something different to do. It's a great time to spend with friends and try something unique. The cost of the room was $24 a person which may see kind of high but nonetheless I was thinking about the price afterwords. Make sure you reserve your room at least two weeks ahead of time! Room fill up fast. Definitely give this a try. read more

I'd recommend everyone try Escape Rooms, no matter if you are visiting with a group or alone (you are placed with a group), and no matter how good (or not) you are with clues and puzzles. Each Escape Room has unique surprises. This one was no exception! I did the 1920s PA train station room. I love that the theme is connected with the town of Lancaster itself. I was locked in the room with a group of strangers--a good, cooperative group! We had to solve a series of clues in order to get the key to escape. The room had some great wired props/features that made it especially interactive. I'd say the challenge was at an ideal level of difficulty. They feed you clues as time goes on, according to your need, in order to keep things moving when you get stumped. We ended up getting really close to the solution, but ran out of time just before we opened the final lock. It was still lots of fun! The owners are really friendly and seem like fun people. I'd expect more good things to come from this place as they expand! read more

Had a room booked for 1:30. waited until 2:15 until someone came out. they told us that they didn't have my reservation (they money had already come out of my account) they told us they could rebook it for another day or we could wait until 3. i would've just liked my booking to reserve the room so we didn't have to wait. read more

I'm going to be the naysayer here. I've been to several of the other Escape Rooms in Central/Eastern PA. I will say this: the Escape Room itself is of the highest quality. I went into the Greek Mythology Room and we had a blast. The clues were excellent, theming was great, and nothing could be considered unfair. However, this comes at a great cost. The service here is terrible; let me explain. My friends and I arrived precisely at 12:59, 1 minute before our appointment. Some of my other friends had already arrived by that point. They called me a couple minutes before to see where we were at. Nevertheless, the staff felt the need to call me anyways seeing if we were bothering to come. Really? Once we arrived, we were greeted by one woman who had no personality and gave us very little background on the room. She then asked us if anyone had to go to the bathroom and told us to do so very quickly. Already I'm beginning to feel like a child being told what to do. We enter the room and it was great. I don't want to spoil any details of the room. We beat the room in record time, over a minute better than the record group. When the lady came in, she told us that she could not count our record because we skipped a clue and got to the end of the room. My friend has prior knowledge of Greek mythology, as do the rest of my friends. That was our interest in this particular escape room. One of the earlier clues had suggested the a number be used. On the last lock in this room, we spelled this number out and unlocked the room. Apparently, this number was spelled out in a different clue that we altogether skipped. Really!? We outsmart the game, and we get punished for it???? How about you consider beforehand not making your earlier clues also gives answers to later ones? That's pretty basic and I don't think it is fair that my group should be punished because of their lack of forethought. Additionally, we were told they might not have counted it anyways because we did not work together on the Sodoku puzzle that was in the game. We had 8 people! How are 8 people supposed to work on a single Sodoku puzzle?!! Considering we have couple in the room that plays Sodoku everyday, we thought it would be nice for them to work on it together while everyone else works on different clues. Its called divide and conquer, and we still did it as a team. We will not be back to this place. Have no expectation of setting a record and be sure to follow their untold and invisible rules they fail to mention. It's truly a shame since the escape room itself was really good. read more

Out of all nine escape rooms I've done, this is consistently on the top of my list! The staff are excellent to work with and very professional but funny. They normally have three rooms at a time. I've done the decoration disaster and the 50s diner. Both were fantastic and were very well done. They really spend the time working on the rooms and it shows. There are hidden doors and passages and tons of electronic locks which make the rooms all the more realistic. The props are excellent and all of the puzzles are well thought out. I love that they help you along with little clues if they see you getting lost, I consider it more guidance than clues, but you can always ask for help and they'll give it to you unless you are literally about to figure out the puzzle. I highly recommend going to this place, especially if you are new to escape rooms like I was the first time I went! read more

I would recommend everyone try this! We did the art gallery heist and it was a blast! I went with 3 other people, but when we arrived we had to join another 6 people. Well I have a service dog and apparently one of the ladies in the others group were allergic. She made a big deal that she could not be in the same room as my Karma for less then an hr. So Matt (one of the employees) talked with his boss and they let us stay with the heist and asked the other group if they'd like to do one of the other scenarios. Which they took. They handled the situation wonderfully! And everyone had a great time! Definitely worth it!!! read more

Our group have done many escape rooms and found the Holiday Escape Room to be a disappointment. The first clue give did not make sense and each clue there after did not follow any type of reason. One clue should some hose relate to another and in this room the clues made no sense. Most of the room involved finding empty CD cases to solve the puzzle. I recommend selecting a different room read more

My family and I did the Lancaster Train Station room together. We weren't really sure what to expect since none of us had done an escape room before. But we all had so much fun. We enjoyed it a lot. At first it seems really difficult but then the pieces all start falling into place. It really gets you to think outside the box. I can't wait to try one of the other themes! read more

Just went to Escape Room today for my bday! I did the Medieval Room. Fiancé and I were with a great group of strangers and we finished with 1 minute and 10 seconds left. Great puzzles and such a fun experience. read more

My wife and I did the "1920s Train Station" on 10/17. We were running a bit behind, but Jen (our game runner) and the group we were matched with were nice enough to wait 5 minutes for us before starting. Working with the group and solving the puzzles is great fun and makes you feel like a genius - even if you did need a hint or 10 to get there. We escaped with about 5 minutes to spare! If I lived closer, I would have already booked times for the other 2 rooms! I'll definitely be back if I'm back in the area. Thanks again, Jen! read more

If I could give this more stars, I would. I arranged a private event for our departments to come to the Escape Room and compete against each other as a team building exercise. Mary was amazing to work with to arrange a time that worked for us (our numbers and dates were ever in flux). It was very easy to pay online and confirm our reservation. We showed up and picked teams at random to shake up our cliques. They have a nice little waiting room to hang out in before game time. I was in the Medieval room (so our CFO could tell our Director of IT to "go to hell" i.e. Hades, the other room!). We had 10 people on each team and I would say a slightly smaller group would have been better, but since we all know each other it was fine with that many. The way they hide information (sometimes in plain sight!) in the rooms is really clever and I was impressed by how intricate details and clues were. For some pieces we split off into smaller groups, and others we all worked together. It was interesting to watch who worked well with who and who was good at what type of puzzle/challenge. My team got hung up on a puzzle that we made infinitely more complicated than it actually was- a gentle reminder that sometimes the correct solution is the simplest- but eventually we got it and managed to escape our room. Our teams emerged literally 4 seconds apart, telling me our departments are evenly matched in wit and skill. Our game moderator, Tanner, was awesome and gave us clues at appropriate times- and of course they were never too easy. I highly recommend this to anyone that likes puzzles and games, and of course, a few surprises. I'll definitely be back with friends and family! :) read more

I would highly recommend the Escape Room Lancaster. Their customer service is incredible. It was short notice, but I planned a birthday party there, and they found a time that would work with my group in order for us to experience the art room heist. The staff was extremely accommodating to my needs and my groups desire to go to the escape from Lancaster. It was a lot of fun and I would definitely go back. read more

I did the medieval room with my husband and some of our friends. We had an absolute blast! The puzzles were challenging and the room atmosphere was set up wonderfully. The room and puzzles all felt authentic and fit the Camelot theme. I can't wait to go back and try more of the rooms! read more

If you are looking for a fun interactive group night start at Escape Room Lancaster!!! This was actually the 4th time I have been to this location and it is by far my favorite of the 3 different locations I have tried (Philadelphia & Newark). The customer service is commendable and the overall decor of each of their rooms goes above and beyond any other that I have seen!! Even the waiting room, hallway & restroom keep in with their "key" theme!! I have done each of their rooms with friends sometimes we start our night out there others we hit Escape Room after dinner. Either way it has always been fun!! I have even taken my son their for a birthday party!! I recommend this fun activity for everyone to try!! read more
