Excellent game master Ben for considering context of situation. One of the puzzles my group did, it was kinda hard to see and there was a lot to consider for a particular scenario. Otherwise, it was fluid and a lot of fun! The venue is across from a lock place, and they have gotten some of their locks from across the street- Neff's Locks I believe the place is called. The escape room enthusiast in me already knowingly recognized beforehand what the game master told me- the directional locks are no longer made (are discontinued.) By today's standards, the price per person is very reasonable for what you get. I think it's a great place to take a date if you know you and your date love doing escape rooms and are willing to pay your own way each or if you or the other person are willing to upfront the cost for both individuals. Please note that the rooms here require a 4 person minimum on weekends, and at least some of them require 2 minimum regularly.

This was super super fun but a little difficult. Or were we over thinking lol . We had to find all the stones and save the universe. Think but don't over think the clues were not that difficult just had to put it all together. We made it out with less then a minute to go. Try it out it was MARVELous, get it lol Marvel! Put on your thinking caps, bring your smart friends and save the universe!

Went for a family bonding trip. Think it's perfect for large groups (8-12). Booking larger groups is a little tricky online so I called and spoke to Sarah over the phone and she was a great help. As first timers we arrived early but it took several minutes for us to be greeted by an employee since all employees are focused on the rooms in play. Would have been nice for someone to have been in the lobby at all times. Clocks in the lobby are not real so be sure to know the real time. As first timers it took a few moments to understand the game. Without a clue given by the staff I doubt we would have been able to get on track to solving the clues. All of us were able to get involve and be helpful in solving clues. Not a single one of us was left out. There was a strength for all of our skill sets. We escaped. Friendly staff and really clean bathrooms as well as escape rooms. Would love to go back Wanted to try the train room but was already out of play :(

There was some cool interaction with this room for a bit in particular. Another one, Vampires. even though also dark, was setup to light up at all the right times. Vampires is probably very highly rated for escape rooms in the country and was certainly one of my favorite experiences personally. Game master and staff have escape room running down to a science. This company has been here for 7 years and they plan to change Bikers theme soon. The entrance is a bit tricky to find as the website said to go down a set of steps on the side. While this is still true, you need to go down a different flight of stairs w a blue awning instead.

They did the reservations and everything so I can't speak to that. Upon entering one from our group checked in while two of us searched the lobby for handprints to get extra clues. We all signed our waivers and then were guided back behind the curtain to enter our room. The design was great. You really felt like you were in a bar and there was a lot of detail to the decor. We had a little trouble figuring out where to start but we were able to just ask our game master for a clue when needed. It is such a fun, hands on experience. The puzzles were fun. I enjoyed the variety and that it wasn't just figuring out combinations to locks. Unfortunately we didn't escape in time, but just a few more minutes and we would have had it. The four of us all had a great time and though. This was my first experience so I didn't have a lot to compare it to. However it was great and definitely made us fans of escape rooms. We have done one other since and definitely preferred the experience here

Tim hosted our most recent visit, and he's a skilled host; definitely had a sixth sense for nudging our "don't give us clues" group when we really needed one! His introductions and post-game wrap-up were amiable and kindly included some special attention for the grade schooler in our adult group. Why short of 5 stars? Like I said, I've been here three times - and on two times, there was a mishap in the room setup. Even though Tim was on top of fixing things, the spell gets broken when you correctly solve a puzzle, then get stuck with no recourse, then the overseer has to give you the answer you already got in order to learn that it's not a player error. The error this time could have been avoided if the designer had made some distinguishing marks on one of two identical items which require unique solutions (keeping it vague here; if you know, you know.) It's frustrating because otherwise the rooms are so good! Good enough that I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Let me start by saying the building is absolutely gorgeous. It still holds tons of the old Bank ledgers, furniture and apparatus. Steve was more than generous with his time and knowledge, giving us a lot of history and a tour. Without giving too much away, I will say it was a lot more than just a jigsaw puzzle. There were trick lighting effects, audio effects, math puzzles, Etc. Plus there were red herrings. Deciphering the special effects was key to figuring out how to steal the gold! Marietta is a neat little town. Eclectic eateries (at least 4, plus just 5 minutes away is the amazing Bully's Restaurant and Pub), a brewery and lots of great architecture. Plan a day, I don't think you'll be disappointed

It starts as soon…read moreas you walk into the building, with the game taking place in an actual bank and vault with over 100 years of history. The structure itself is the biggest character in the game, but one that you must not overlook. Then you are warmly greeted by Steve and Anna, the owners and restorers of the building and creators of the game. They take you into the board room for your overview, instructions and intro video. When that is finished, you are led into the area of the bank that has the game. The game itself is rather simple, but how you do it is fun. Your goal is to break into the vault, steal the contents, then get to the teller line to make a deposit. You need to interact with the staff during the game, and the staff plays each part in character. That was really cool and very fun. We had our kids play along and they did a great job. When the game is over, Steve gives you a tour of the building and points out some of the historic items that they found. The history of the bank goes back to the 1800s and it is just so amazing to see these elements preserved. Steve and Anna clearly are very much "invested" in the game and your entire experience. This type of dedication not only to the escape game industry but to history itself is a huge part of why this game was a very unique experience for this enthusiast. We had a lot of fun and were glad that we had the opportunity to play First National Escape.

We were very appreciative that the staff was able to accommodate our early arrival and facilitate an immediate start to our session, which was a significant bonus. We participated in the "Serial Killer" themed room. As this was the first escape room experience for everyone in our party, there was a natural element of apprehension following the initial briefing and room viewing. We found the experience to be unique, highly engaging, and thoroughly enjoyable. The service provided by the front desk gentleman (whose name we unfortunately missed) was exceptional. He was highly informative, provided clear instructions, and offered helpful recommendations for local dining options. The in-game elements were also excellent; clues were delivered effectively, the communication system was clear and easy to understand, and the props and puzzle design were exciting and well-executed. The single point of constructive feedback we offer relates to the background music level. We found the volume of the ambient music to be slightly excessive, which occasionally impeded verbal communication among our party members and, at times, made it challenging to clearly receive direction from the remote staff via the communication device. Despite this minor operational detail, we enthusiastically recommend this business and anticipate returning soon to try another themed room or the rage room.
