Our experience at Escape Hershey was a very positive one. It is conveniently located in downtown Hershey. There's parking in the back if you are unfamiliar with the area. The prices are very reasonable, particularly when compared with prices of escape rooms where I live in California. It felt like a deal! Our group was mostly first timers, and our host was helpful, offering clear instructions, suggesting hints when we needed it, and she just made the whole experience better. Our family loves escape rooms and we decided to check this location out while visiting the Hershey area. This was our 34th escape room, we did the Magical Pet store room and we loved it! Staff is friendly and worked well with escape rooms situations, They understand not to be so strict on clues unless requested and unless we are aiming for record time. The difficulty was reasonable and I liked the fact that it was multi-room. There was enough for the price. While there are some rooms that are much more, they are also much more expensive elaborate too but still only one hour to do them in. There is parking in the back of the facility . read more

This place is right off of Chocolate Ave! Parking lot is in the back. Reservations are required and it's so fun. We did the "A Totally 90's Mystery" room and highly recommend! They allow 12 people in each room, but given the size of that room I'd recommend less than that, we had a group of 6 and that went very well. We made it out! read more

How much of a review can you really say about an Escape Room? They had the front section which was a normal lobby, tons of chairs for your groups and a table full of different locks they give you to get familiar with. Ones that could possibly be in your room. Just as you're about to walk through the hallway there's a window with no glass that you can see straight into the next building. I have no idea if they're apart of the same "company" but I believe it was a bar or restaurant type area. Anyway, going down the hall -- whoever designed and created the art on the wall did a phenomenal job. Really one of the coolest things to look at. And then whichever them you chose, you go into that room of the hallway. They do have an area where you can hold up signs and take your photos about who won and didn't. They do have a parking lot in the back, and the Escape Room is right off the W. Chocolate Ave - the main street in Hershey. Again, not much to say.. The one we chose was "Roaring 20's, challenging for sure! read more

Our family of 8 did the Museum of Magic room yesterday, and we had a great time. The attendant, Josh (I believe), was welcoming and helpful, as he got us acclimated with how the room worked. The room we booked had a 20% success rate. We solved it with time to spare and thought it was a fair challenge but not impossible. However, with a smaller group, we thought this might be more difficult. The theme was clever and the two hints we got were good: they guided us in the right direction but didn't give away the solution. The other thing that was nice was how clean the facility was--it didn't seem worn down or dirty from lots of people playing through. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend this escape room. Oh the fun we had! This was easily one of the best escape rooms I've ever been to. The staff was friendly, the facility was clean, and They had a lot of helpful tutorial stuff before you entered the room. They have a variety of rooms to choose from but we decided to go with wizard room. It was real fun and creative. What I really enjoyed was how some of the clues revolved around Harry Potter and Lord of The rings Rings! The next time you're in town you should definitely give this place a try. :-) read more

GREAT EXPERIENCE & WILL RETURN! We took a group of girls here for my daughter's birthday. Everything went so smoothly! From the unbelievable staff answering questions prior to booking, to them hiding prizes throughout the room for the girls to find, to giving clues to help them along the way. The girls had a blast, as a parent I loved the ease of working with the staff. It was an all around great time and a new experience for a birthday party. We're veterans of Five Wits in Foxboro, and with some time to kill we decided to try this escape room next. We were greeted by a super friendly host who walked us through the Wizard room (which is the hardest, with only 35% success rate) and we were off for an hour of solving riddles, puzzles and clues to escape from our room. There is plenty of space and lots of challenge in the room, and if you get jammed up there are clues to help solve some of the clues (so it's mostly dummy proof), and we found our way out in a minute or two over the hour (because of a last minute mishap), but a good time was had by all. The 10% off Yelp coupon was a great surprise as well. If you and a group have an hour to kill and want to stretch your brains a little as well, this is a great place to have some fun. read more

Ended our mini-vacation in Hershey by doing an Escape Room. Our boys love doing Escape Rooms, as do we. The place was very nice and when you walk in, there are different locks to try out before entering your room. We were greeted by a friendly person at the front desk who also happened to be our host. We ended up doing the Wizard's Laboratory, which has something like a 35-40% success rate. Sadly, we didn't help that number go up any! It was a hard room and despite lots of useful clues, we still couldn't manage to escape. Despite our failure, we all still had a lot of fun. The room was well decorated and I liked the fact that in order to escape, we had to actually get out a different door than what we came in. If you like Harry Potter, you'll probably like this room. We definitely plan on coming back. Would like to try their Wacky Candy Factory room, which is supposedly easier. read more

I've done 4 escape rooms before doing 2 here, I had a GREAT time and have 3 experiences I want to share: a) 4.3 stars: The Wizard's Lab escape room. Without saying too much, this room had a great feel to it and some of the solutions were VERY satisfying. Great decorating, great eureka moments. Warning though: This is by far their hardest room, so if you're a first timer beware. b) 5 Stars: I feel like customer service is a HUGE thing for businesses like this, and the manager Tanner was absolutely fantastic. There was a small hiccup on their part in our first room we did there (this happens in escape rooms, it's understandable). It messed with our experience a little bit but not too much. But then after saying sorry, he came over and gave our group a voucher to come on back and do an entirely other room. That. Is. Awesome. It turned a sort of bummer end to an exciting future adventure and really showed they were determined for us to have a great time c) 3 stars: The Chocolate Factory was definitely fun, but it was their first room (at least that's what someone there told me) and that "first-timeness" kind of shows. Could have used some more puzzle variety. read more

We had a great time and will definitely participate again. We were in a room where I believe 50% are successful and we were successful, with about 2 minutes to spare, but we were successful. Staff here is amazing. Very friendly and I emailed them because the room we wanted wasn't available at the time we were looking for and they switched it around for us so I was able to book it online. We did the Roaring 20's Speakeasy room which was great! Loved the decor and all the different kinds of puzzles. They rated it well with the medium difficulty. We got tripped up once or twice but ultimately made it out. My only negative is that we had a group of 9 and there is not enough for everyone to do. Would be more fun with a smaller group because it was pretty linear so it wasn't like you could spread out and work on different pieces. Would definitely go back and try another room sometime! read more

Our new thing when we travel is to find an escape room. At this point we have done two rooms in Philadelphia, one room in Mystic CT, one in NYC and here. Our success rate is mixed. Upon entering (Saturday at 8:45 pm with a last minute reservation) we were greeted by a female employee who was FANTASTIC. I am sorry I didnt get her name because she deserves a shout out! The only room available at such short notice was the candy room which was rated easy. We were asked if we minded a group of 2 joining our party of 5, which was cool with us. Everything was explained clearly, and locks were out front to practice on. Different from other escape rooms was that clues were given-not necessarily asked, for which helped. The tv's emitted a sound when a clue came in so even in the 2nd room you could hear it. We personally felt that this room wasnt easy per se. We did complete the room and made 2 friends in the process. After we beat the room we were asked if we wanted pictures and she took pictures with our phones. Before leaving she asked if we wanted to come back the next day and do the Harry Potter style room-lets just say she sold the rooms! We booked a 12:30 the next day AND booked it with the 2 people we did the candy room with. We knew this room was harder but we were prepared. The difference in the employees was obvious once entering the room. Not to say the male employee was bad, because he wasn't at all. He was different. There were several times that he gave us clues to things we already did, many times he kept circling things that we did. I dont know if he wasnt really watching or what. To us it felt like we wasted 20 minutes alone just trying to figure out what we didnt do...when in reality we did do it right. We didnt complete the room, leaving one puzzle left to solve which we had started and we believe we would have completed had we not spent 20 minutes trying to understand what he thought we had not done... He did give us clues that were helpful, but it felt like he wasnt listening as we said over and over we already did that. Bottom line? This place was fun! Employees were all friendly and helpful, and the rooms were a challenge. We will definitely return if in the area again! read more

Escape Room Hershey hosted our holiday party this year. The experience was terrific. We had all three rooms going and lined up for food after at the attached Hershey Biergarten. The hosts were upbeat an had a sense of humor. The service at outings like these can largely dictate how the overall experience is perceived and they did a wonderful job. The team came out of the rooms excited to do an event like this again. The overall reaction was overwhelmingly positive. I recommended other districts in my company look to host events like this in the future. I hope they have as good of a time as we did. read more

They really reserve too many people for one room at this Escape Room. This made it hard to complete tasks, there was not enough space in the room, and it was kind of chaotic. We weren't able to share tasks, information, clues with everyone because of this. I left without knowing that we had discovered critical clues. I don't think I can give a helpful a review on the Theater Room because of this. Based on my experience, avoid this room. read more
