Stopped in while we had some time to waste and So Happy we did. Order on a screen at the counter and then they bring it to your table. Everything was delicious. Enjoyed every bite of the burrito. Their "house rice" was awesome. The other guest had 3 tacos and each was as good as the last. Shrimp, steak (nearly melts in your mouth), and spicy shredded chicken. We're regulars and come here all the time. However lately, they have been dropping the ball. A few times we were given the completely wrong order and they used to put a lot of meat in their dishes.. now I get barely any meat. The food is tasty and is close to home. My only criticism is when ordering takeout, which we do 100% of the time, there should be an option to not add meat to the nachos. I've always wanted to try them but am a vegetarian and don't want any of the protein options. Tofu might be nice as an option. read more

Kids liked their burritos, but there is a peanut butter taco (a peanut butter taco??) and the employees really could have cared less about whether or not the other food ordered was safe from cross-contamination. Taco places and Mexican restaurants, from small holes in the wall to chains to large restaurants are usually our go-to because as a mom, I know I can keep my allergic kids safe and have a fun night out for dinner. We had epi-pens on hand and thank goodness everything was ok, but I'm not sure we can risk going back if the people preparing the food don't care about safety. We do eat at restaurants that have nuts, but as I noted, this is less about the food and more about the safety factor. I would feel differently if they were a bit more aware or seemed to care. Gave this place a shot on a whim and was disappointed. Parking is limited and when you enter you need to order off a touch screen similar to Wawa however there were no photos to see what the heck the food looked like you were ordering. It was also odd that they all had shirts from the pizzeria (same owner) rather than branding for this location so it felt like I was ordering burritos from an Italian restaurant. Food is bland and expensive, two items came to nearly $30. The service is also very slow. I came during lunchtime and it took nearly 30 minutes for an order of two items. The vibe is also interesting...place is supposed to be Mexican yet they had biggie smalls and other old school rap playing which I love but why play it at a Mexican place. This place is not very good. It's a limited burrito, bowl, taco joint in the vein as a chipotle or Surf Taco. You order from a computer screen, they make it in the back and then bring it out. We walked in and there was no menu posted. The cashier told us to use the screen to order and then the cashier turned their back to us. Fine, but for a new restaurant it's probably a good idea to explain to customers a little bit more about how the menu is structured or even what is on your menu. The food was so bland. I can't even say it tasted bad because it didn't taste like anything at all. The spicy chicken had zero spice. The vegan burrito was rice, beans, peppers and corn, with a 75¢ up charge for lettuce. Again, zero flavor. Just none at all. We order from there weekly because the prices are very fair, portion size great but taste is the best. For my money would have been better off just going to chipotle. So, I'll start with the positives. The place is clean. And has a modern sleek look, and it has a clean bathroom. When I walked in the place was empty. That's a red flag normally but this place has only been open 2 weeks according to the staff so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The food, is just mid. It's not that it's bad it's just not particularly good and doesn't stand out in terms of flavor in any way. The blandest ameri-mex food I've ever had. The food was good enough, but they are did not even have a TV for you to watch while you're waiting - just nothing. the paint on the wall is chipped like they didn't finish painting when they open the store, so you can't even sit and watch paint dry. Short story - Placed and paid for order online through their website for pickup - they couldn't fulfill the order - no refund.....very shady Long Story - Placed and paid for an order online (they do not have a phone number). When my husband arrived, he was told that they didn't have any shrimp and was unable to fulfill our order. The person behind the counter told him that they could get shrimp from across the street (Espositos pizza) but they didn't know when they could send someone to pick it up and that it would take a long time to make the shrimp. My husband then said please cancel my order. She said no problem - but I am going to have to put your ticket aside and cancel it later. My husband left with nothing and the hope the person behind the counter would be honest do as she said. He went somewhere else to get us dinner. While he was waiting for our new order, I received a text that our order was ready - but I thought we cancelled our order. Obviously, the person behind the counter did not cancel our order. When I couldn't find a phone number online, I contacted Espositos across the street (same owner) to see if they had a phone number. The person I spoke with there said - they do not have a phone number. What?!?! What kind of business doesn't have a phone number?? Something is super shady with this restaurant. This was my second time at Es Burrito. I placed an online order at the peak of lunchtime and it was ready when I got there, 5 mins before promised. The first time I got the burrito with grilled chicken, I found this burrito a little bland. This time, I ordered pulled pork burrito and it was very tasty. I really wanted to like this place. Maybe I just went on a bad day. The location is a pain in the but to get to, but the inside, and the idea of the place works. For the price I paid, all I got was a burrito, but there wasn't any seasoning. This tasted just like a chicken wrap, not the burrito place I've been waiting to try. The lack of any visual menus other than requesting a take out menu or having to wait in line to use their kiosk is a bit of a turn off. Maybe they should stick to Italian which has at least been 90+% consistent over the years with some minor service issues at times: - Burrito was mush - they press it together like a panini, could not really taste anything specifically and not much chicken at all. It was a watery mess. - Tacos and bowl were blah, felt like a bunch of things thrown in without much flavor and again very little actual meat. - Price was freaking ridiculous, $67+ with a tip for self service with a machine........I thought it was going to be a full service restaurant. I will try it one more time in the spring or summer for outdoor dining - that should give them enough time to work the kinks out! Please by then - ditch the stupid machines and have a human take my order. Did not care for the rice - everything else in the meal was fine, however, the yellow rice that is paired with the bowls really kills it for me. The place seems to have a large take out and online ordering business. You must order online, they have no phone #, so they're ignoring the non smart phone, non digital community. Their food is not so great that this inconvenience is worth it. I ordered the 3 Amigos taco combo. Not easy to choose my preferences online. Online ordering very user unfriendly. I've had the grilled chicken burrito bowl 3 times so far and I will say they have been consistently delicious. I've seen a few reviews mentioning the "high costs" of the food, but I do not think that is a valid point... less than $10 for a loaded burrito bowl post pandemic sounds pretty reasonable to me.
