Stopped by a few weeks ago to get 2 pairs of jeans hemmed. Before I even got home they called to say the pants were done already! The seamstress was doing hemming that day so a little lucky lol! Just dropped off a shirt missing a button. Very reasonable pricing and open until 8am/8pm so very convenient hours. And Crispy Cajun is right across the lot so that's a plus in my book too read more

The owners are very nice and obviously experienced. It cost me $48 to get 4 pairs of pants hemmed. Unsure of what other places would have cost. Unsure how I like seeing the hem line as well as my other suit pants you can't tell where the line is. But pretty efficient operation. read more

I dropped off my wedding dress about the 3 months ago no work has yet to be done to it I was told there is a $200 deposit full price of 400 for all the alterations I call to tell them I'm no longer getting married and she then tells me I will not get my $200 back at the time of dropping the dress the MAN DID NOT once mention I wouldn't get my money back very upsetting read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had with alterations. I was told my dress would be ready at 2pm and when I showed up at 3:30 they were only half way done with it. The dress was still too big and had to be brought in more. After arguing with them about it they finally agreed to bring it in. It was sewn in haste and the zipper ended up stopping about 2 inches from the actual top of the dress. The clip that held it all together became unsown from the dress within minutes of me putting it on the night of my event and it had to be Safety pinned together for the night. Not to mention the front of the dress was left too long and I was stepping on it the entire evening. They were over priced and not accommodating without an argument. Wow! I called them today. A male answered the phone, and I asked him his location. He was very short and impatient. I then asked him if he could replace a stretched-out waistband. He became impatient again, said he was busy, and I was "asking questions that don't make sense." Hmmm. He then hung up on me!!!! I would not do any kind of business with a person like him. This alteration spot sucks.. the master tailor is full of crap and always makes an excuse. I brought my basketball jersey to be altered last December 14... he said he can do it 3 days tops... i called after 4 days, he said he got busy with something so he'll give me a call back a day or two when the item is ready for pickup. i let another 3 days pass by..NO RETURN call from him. I called him back, he said there was a RUSH wedding dress that he needed to finish. NO BIGGIE. He said he will call me again, NOTHING HAPPENED. After Xmas holiday, i called again on the 28th to check.. he said he had some problems with his machine and he will call me again when its FINISHED. I let a week pass by and NO RETURN call from this "professional" tailor.. i called him again JANUARY 5 2017 and he said he was having problems with my jersey and he was waiting for me to go to the tailor shop so that he can show me.. like.. what the hell is going on?? I called him again today and he told me its gonna be ready tomorrow JANUARY 7,2017 because he got SICK after we talked on the phone yesterday. VERY PROFESSIONAL.. if there could be a review with ZERO OR negative STARS ON IT.. that would be the score of this review. read more

I have a bridesmaid dress that required a significant amount of alterations. I took it to my regular tailor in Countryside and he quoted $200 (the dress was only $130...and I will NEVER wear it again!). Looked on Yelp and found Ermiras. Was a little nervous they might butcher the dress but after reading the reviews I gave it a try. I dropped it off on Dec 23. Mike quoted $80. He called on Dec 30 to say it was ready. Not only are the prices very good, the quality is excellent and Mike's shop is open more frequently than my other tailor. Needless to say, I'm switching!! So I took a window seat cushion there to have redone as the say they do upholstery work also. They told me it would be a week. They would call when ready. I called 10 days later as I hadn't heard and they hadn't even started. So I asked when it would be ready they said another week. I went there to pick up and still They hadn't even started. No phone call. No apology. Weird. I took my fabric and cushion and left. Pathetic is all I can say. read more

I dropped my garment off on a Monday evening, I asked the turn around time, and he said "with me? Always 24 hours." He said he would call me and let me know when it was ready. When I didn't hear anything by Friday, I went in to check and he hadn't touched it yet, he again said, "come back tomorrow." I told him I would be back Monday. Monday I go in, and he still hadn't touched it yet! When I got frustrated he said, "well a week really isn't that long." But he told me twice it would be ready next day! Now I was leaving for a wedding in 3 days and still didn't have my garment! I went back again the next and it was done. Two stars because he didn't ruin my garment, but I would never trust them with a garment again unless I didn't have a time I needed it by. read more

I will never go to another tailor again! I am very petite and my proportions make it difficult to find properly fitting clothes. Mike has tailored 6 dresses of mine, all came out amazing, fitting just how I wanted! I dropped 5 dresses off on Saturday and had them finished by Monday afternoon. That is crazy! His prices are extremely reasonable as well. He has never given me an attitude and was extremely pleasant every time I have seen him so I'm not sure what other reviews are talking about. I love this place so much that I am having Mike take my measurements before I move so that I can post my clothing to him for alterations. Highly recommend. read more

I am sorry to say that I took an article of clothing to Ermira's (the 19th of Jan), the owner told me to pick up a zipper and that he would fix my item. I brought the zipper back and a female employee said that it would be ready within the next week (22-26) and that I would get a call. They didn't call so I went in to check on it (26th). It was not ready, they hadn't even started on it and the owner said they were hiring more people. I said you can have it until the 30th and I need it then. I came in on the 31st, no work done on it and again the owner gave the excuse that he needed more time. I simply took the item went to another alterations place where she proceeded to tell me she has had to fix things that Ermira's had worked on. I think NOT!!! read more

I can't say enough good things about this place! Mike was extremely professional and helpful. I brought my dress in for Oktoberfest and was worried because I needed it finished in two days. Mike altered it on the spot in 20 minutes and got it perfect on the first try. He doesn't believe in "rush fees" and said he has been a tailor since he was 12, which shows in his amazing work! Never gets anything done when he says he does. I brought in some simple jobs, a couple of T-Shirts, and a pair of jeans. The first time I brought them in, I asked how long it would take to get done, 3 weeks, a month? I asked because I assumed that it would be lower priority. He said no, I could come back same day to pick up and took my number. I never got a call from him. I waited 3 days and then I called him and he never did it. He said he would do it again that day and I could pick up tomorrow. I told him I didn't have time and would stop in the day after. He did have 2 out of 3 items done then, and then. So I paid for the 2 and told him that I wanted to wear the last shirt by the weekend. He said to pick it up Friday. I go in and he STILL hasn't done it! SO he does it right there and it only took him maybe 5 minutes at most. I drop off another shirt and he said he would call me tomorrow when it was done. Guess what? I never got a call. I wait a week and then I call him and he said that he will get it done that day and call me to come pick it up. Guess what? I never got a call! So I go in a week later (So now he has had the shirt for 2 weeks) and a lady asks if she can help me. I say that I dropped off a shirt and I never got called. Then he comes over and says "says is this your shirt" I said yes. He said "here". I asked if it was done because it didn't look done. He said no and that he is not going to do it. I asked why and he said "Because you said I never call". Then goes on like I am somehow in the wrong here? I honestly just can not recommend this guy at all. He doesn't do jobs in the time frame he says, he doesn't call, and he has shown terrible customer service all the way around. I get that my jobs were small jobs, but there were 2 other courses of action that could have been taken here. 1, Give a realistic time for when things would be done and follow through on that. 2, Refuse to take the small jobs that I had brought in. read more

Having recently relocated to Clearwater from San Diego, I needed to find a good local tailor to help me get ready for a new job. After several past experiences with tailors who were less than skilled, I was a little nervous to bring all of my good suits to Ermira's but after reading all of the excellent reviews, I thought I would give it a shot. Boy, was I impressed! Mike is absolutely amazing and can do just about everything to make your clothes fit to perfection. I have been bringing clothes to him for several months and he has done everything from shortening jeans and leaving original hems to taking in and altering dresses, work suits and winter coats. And, he is crazy FAST which is a huge plus for the world's biggest procrastinator who always seems to be running around at the last minute. Coming from SoCal, I was expecting to pay an arm and a leg, but I was pleasantly surprised with his pricing which is extremely reasonable (and he doesn't even charge more for faster turnarounds!).
