I have spent quite a bit of money at Marcotte's Designs (if you consider "Designs" painting a garage sale dresser). I started to discover that some of the exact same items purchased could be found online at a fraction of the cost. We wanted to support local businesses, but the prices are just getting outrageous! We are always given a snobby attitude, if acknowledged at all by the woman that's always working (the one with the attitude that is almost laughable considering how she presents herself as though she just gave birth, rolled out of bed, and went to work). Now, after seeing her disgusting, bigoted, uneducated social media posts (now deleted) about hurricane Helene's devastating damage and how they made it about racism and politics. This place cannot close soon enough! That way, she can go back to being a miserable bored housewife and allow real, professional shop owners to thrive. read more

Went to this shop looking for a buffet, and left with a dining table, bench, wall sign, chandelier, chalk paint, and high hopes of chalk painting our current dining chairs. This place was awesome. The woman working was so friendly and helpful. Such unique items from 1920 style dressers to Starbucks signs (true story). So much fun going in there. Great items here, but I was looking for thrift shops and I'd have to say this is definitely not a thrift shop category type store. I absolutely loved the items they had in the shop. All done very nicely. Saw many things I'd love to have however when one is working with a thrift shop pocketbook you can't afford designer items. If your crafty you can get great ideas there as well. They also sell Sloan chalk paint in the smaller building. read more

We LOVE Marcotte's! Every time we visit we discover something beautiful to add to our home. We worked with Jenni to redo our kitchen with top-quality shiplap, painted cabinets and open shelving. What a difference! Their woodworking experts built custom headboards for our sons' bedrooms and installed an amazing reclaimed beam for the mantle of our fireplace. They also whitewashed the fireplace with chalk paint to create a completely updated look. If you want to update your home or decor, do not hesitate to visit Marcotte's Design. Chelsea was also a pleasure to work with and extremely knowledgeable. We can't stay away from this place...just go! read more

Cool merchandise and always new stuff coming in. They are reasonable with their prices as well. I started coming here for an Annie Sloan Chalk Paint class and have been a customer ever since. Everyone is always very friendly. Jenni, the owner, is incredibly friendly and helpful. I've shown her inspiration pictures and she's told me exactly how to recreate it on my own piece at home using ASCP.
