The Furniture Guys had EXACTLY what I wanted and the price was right. We purchased the sofa and are very, very happy with it. 6 months later and we need a new mattress and as we all know MATTRESS SHOPPING SUCKS! I made the typical rounds with the well known major bed retailers. I had two sales people literally follow me out of the store and I thought one guy was going to break out in tears when I left. It was awful. We found a memory foam with gel mattress at the Furniture Guys that we liked earlier in the day. We found others that we liked as well, however the price was usually more than double of what we liked at the Furniture Guys place. We went back, tired and hungry after making the rounds and tried the bed out again and decided to take it. This was on a Saturday afternoon and they said they could deliver it that day! I wasn't expecting anything before Monday so that was a bonus. The delivery guy didn't show up until 7:00pm that night but they did get the bed there. Sunday morning I wake up at 4:00am in back pain agony. I was convinced that I could not sleep on that bed and went back to the store to find out what my options would be. The receipt he gave me the day before was for someone else, so we got that switched out. George was very patient with me and listened to my concerns. He explained that going from a coil bed to memory foam will take some adjustment and the mattress will become less firm with use. He suggested that we give it a little time and if we were still unhappy he would make it right. I took him at his word and lo and behold slept like a baby the second night! However, in looking at my receipt after we got home, I noticed that I was overcharged by $53.00. I called George and he issued a credit right over the phone. I do believe it was just an honest mistake and he was quick to fix it. I totally recommend this place and I will return in the future for sure. Love the couch and the mattress. I don't want to bring their rating down, but at the same time i did not make any purchases because i just found the prices obnoxious. Considering most of the furniture is old/used/re-purposed, the prices they're asking are retail for brand-new stuff. I get that people put their hard work and energy into fixing stuff up, but there has to be a balance. Overall, it really is an ADORABLE shop. It's decently sized and there's plenty to see. In fact, I'm guessing you probably miss seeing half the stuff because there's SO much! You could almost walk through each section twice just to be sure you saw everything! If I were in the area I would stop by again and see if I found anything I loved. Definitely check it out for yourself, and make your own opinion. You may just find something amazing. And there is a range of knick-knacks, kitchen towels, decorations, all the way up to full-sized furniture (tables/dressers/nightstands/etc). If you're in the area, give 'em a try!

She listened carefully to my concerns, and even worked with the manufacturer to make special accommodations for my furniture prior to delivery. At every stage, I felt like she genuinely cared about helping us create a home we could enjoy. That level of service is rare these days. Another thing that impressed us is the quality of the furniture itself. So much furniture today looks good in a showroom but is ultimately made from engineered materials that simply don't hold up over time. The pieces we purchased from Coastal are solid wood, beautifully finished, and built to be used and enjoyed for many years. Although the initial investment may be higher than some alternatives, this is heirloom-quality furniture that becomes part of your home for the long haul, not something you'll be replacing in a few years. Years ago, when I was in my 20s, I bought a living room set from a traveling furniture salesman whose showroom was in a hotel conference room. I paid less than 1/2 of what I paid for this couch. That furniture remained in like-new condition until I sold it 15 years later. Yep, inexpensive furniture from a fly by night traveling furniture company lasted AT LEAST 5 times longer than a couch from a "reputable" company. Absolutely pathetic!
