The food was better than the service. But in these Covid times, I guess service is iffy at the best of times. We had to read the beer and wine menu off our phones as the TV's were spotty. It took several minutes to get waited on even though the bar was mostly empty on a Monday during Happy Hour. When we finally got our drinks, thing went somewhat more smoothly. As I said, it was almost empty so the vibe was really quiet. The wait staff spent most of their time goofing around with each other as there was no business. We ordered the nachos and while they took forever to come out, they were worth the wait. These weren't your average bar nachos. Nicely prepared and very tasty. We actually like the chips so much, we visited Alejandro's the next day to buy some. While there may be better / cheaper parking places, we ended up paying for parking across the street. read more

This place didn't have a super extensive menu but I had the chicken sandwich and the elote which were both great. Be warned- the elote is a massive portion, I thought I was getting a side but it was a whole dish! Not complaining, but definitely a shareable read more

Ermanos Bar - Elote - Wine Bars Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

I have always enjoyed this Tucson restaurant. The food is good however they recently made the decision to replace the Mediterranean board-one of my all time favorites! The service is good and attentive. The bar is comfortable and spacious. If you are looking for a more sophisticated drinking experience then at the end of the Ermanos bar you will find a bar with more drinking options read more

This spot is a no for large groups unless you plan on paying the bill or splitting it with one other person. First, when you make a large group reservation, you have to put your credit card down. Their policy is if you cancel too late or no-show you get charged $10 per head. I think that is fair, especially for a local biz but if they have this advanced system, why can't they make separate bills for each couple in the large group? What a buzz kill for everyone there, having to figure out who owes what and passing money to each other. Even fricken Olive Garden can split bills and still add the 20% tip! Basically their food and vibe isn't good enough to have to deal with the hassle. Other things I noticed, the other staff and helpers will not make eye contact or check on you if they aren't assigned to your table. There were two on the small patio helping another large group and walked past us several times because, how dare we ask them for something. Lol. Regarding the food....Waited forever for drinks, the food was decent, nothing was bad but again, not worth the hassle for a large group. Hope this helps! read more

I saw a friend post their charcuterie board to their Instagram stories and just HAD to have it. It looked so delicious. So that week, my husband and I went down to 4th Ave to try it out. We ended up doing a bunch of small plates, trying out the charcuterie board, brussel sprouts and bacon, and ceviche. The charcuterie board was so worth the trip down there. If you're like me and go through phases where you crave meat and cheese boards, Ermanos' is great! It came with this jalapeno jam that was sweet, spicy, and delicious. We weren't too big of a fan of the ceviche, but I was not surprised by this. This isn't exactly the place you go if that's what you're craving. The serving size was a good portion, but they put mango into their ceviche so it was too sweet for me. I love mango, but not in ceviche really. They also have a great selection of beers if you're someone who likes to try out different kinds of craft brews. They sat us outside on their back patio, which was perfect. Nice and quiet, great mood lighting. We will definitely be back! read more

I ask myself, why don't we come here more often. Every time we do, we leave pleased beyond imagination. They have a GREAT wet selection, they have really good imaginative DELICIOUS food! We happened to be there for Taco Tuesday and I couldn't be happier! They had both a vegetarian and "carnivorous" options, I took advantage of both! I might dare say that the Beet taco was out of this world. So many complex flavors, so many fireworks in my mouth! Korean style rib was pretty spectacular as well. They have really good attentive service without being in your face too much! Gotta love that! Oh, hubs had the lobster roll and wasn't expecting much but wowza, claw meat, huge chunks of lobsta!! Oh yeah baby!! Go kick, now get going...stop reading and head over. Easy parking across the street!!! GO!! read more

Every time I've been here the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere has been on point. If you get a seat near the front it also has the best people watching. I really like the laid back vibes, beer selection, and the chicken sandwich. I do wish they would bring back their grilled cheese and tomato soup dish though (at least in the winter). read more

I really don't know why people hype this place up. I went with some co workers. Ordered the fish and chips but they were soggy. Gross. Overall bad. The atmosphere is super cute but small so you're dining with the people next to you. The drinks were actually really good. The variety they have is truly exceptional. The kumbucha beer they have was something I'd go back for. I don't like kumbucha at all but they made it delicious. So I suggest coming here for drinks not really for the food. The ceviche was decent just was to sweet due to the pineapple mango. Just wasn't my cup of tea. The service is alright nothing to complain about but nothing that will encourage an extra star. So that's my revue of this place. Sub par lol read more

Food was lacking and back patio was dingy and dirty. We were rushed through our meal and the server stood by waiting for us to pay. I wouldn't go back. read more

I enjoyed an amazing birthday experience here. The ambiance and playlist were perfection, followed my the staff and food being absolutely amazing. I hate the veggie taco (taco Tuesday) and the lobster roll which were both amazing and that side is slaw was the best slaw I've ever eaten. The drinks were amazing as well. Top marks on all levels! read more

We just came for a drink, but after passing through the dining room we'll have to go back as the food looked amazing. Our adventure was toward the back and through the mirrored Portal. What an inspirational cocktail lounge! The decor, and wooden-slatted walls are beautiful, it's quiet and comfortable. The bartender and staff are friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. And the potables are prestigious! It starts with a complimentary cocktail as you peruse an impressive list of creations. We had 3 different creative cocktails and all were delicious. This hidden gem is worth seeking out. It is intimate and perfect for date night or gathering for quiet conversation. The Portal is a "must visit" bar. read more

Casual bar with cocktails, beer and wine. Right on historic 4th. Service was quick and friendly. They have a HH starting at 2. Saw a decent list of tap beers, some AZ wines as well as some imports. Burger was generous and delicious, added a nice mixed greens side salad. read more

I've been to Ermanos twice now while in Tucson. Fantastic beer and wine list, for sure. Reasonably priced beer flights with lots of selection. I like the location on 4th and parking has not been a challenge for me yet across the street (although both visits were during the day). The interior of the restaurant gives off a good vibe. Both times I have had nachos. They were totally delicious and sizable enough for 3-4 people to enjoy, but on both occasions, they were room temp by the time they made their way to our table. I figured the first time was a fluke but then they were just room temp on the second visit as well. The restaurant was not busy on either day I was there, so perhaps they need to do a better job of expediting. In general, service was mediocre both times I was there (once at bar with a small group and once at a table). That said, I like the place and will return. Looking forward to trying a few more menu items. Better expediting and generally more attentive service on my next visit will definitely bump this up to 4 stars. read more

Cauliflower bites were amazing. Sat at bar. Service was fantastic. Drinks to perfection. Espresso martini (on tap?) was great! Add liquor 43 for something a little different. Wish we would have eaten more while we were here but definitely recommend for a stopover. read more

Got into town pretty late on a Friday night around 8:30pm. We got lucky and found a street spot across the street, but not sure what the other parking options are. Checked in at Ermanos and they told us 20-30 minute wait, and they would text us. There were a few shops around we popped into and they texted us in less than 20. We were seated outside, and they pulled over a heat lamp which kept us pretty warm. We opted for 3 appetizers (between the 2 of us). Buffalo cauliflower was yummy. Ceviche was the best thing we ordered, very tasty. And the nachos, which had a good amount of everything piled on top of them. Everything was tasty. Service was great and very efficient. read more

Cute bar in the heart of downtown! Friendly service and tasty libations can be found in this divey locale. We had the fried avocado appetizer, and they were delicious! Of course parking in this area can be hard to find but Ermanos is worth the walk or wait! read more

Not feeling starchy fries, the server suggested the homemade chips with a side of salsa. This made a traditionally English more Mexican... so fitting for Tucson! The server claimed the fish was awesome. Not knowing my high bar on this dish, I went with his advice. Definitely one of the top five of my memory. The tartar sauce was superb, and they even wrapped the lemon in a screen to keep the seeds out of the food. The chips are fresh and unsalted, complimented by a great pico. The red cabbage coleslaw was also exceptionally fresh. Great dish! My wife had the grilled salmon salad which she really liked. Fresh greens, nice flavor and cooked to order. The pomegranate seeds were extra plentiful. Nice atmosphere for lunch, and I hear the patio and lounge in the back are great places to hang out for drinks. Maybe next visit read more

This place wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't great. I was starved and ready for an early glass of wine after work, so we did a bit of research and found Ermanos for food and drink. Once seated, my partner ordered a cocktail and I got a glass of happy hour wine. I received my wine, but the cocktail took considerably longer. I know crafting a cocktail takes time, yet this still seemed excessive. Also excessive was the amount of time between check-ins from our server. She would go between the front bar and the back bar often, passing us without stopping by unless flagged down. This included when we wanted to order our meal, a second round of drinks, requesting salt, and our check. Our dirty dishes sat on our table throughout. The food was fine. I had the lobster roll, which was chock full of claw meat. The bun fell apart after my third bite, but I kept on truckin' with my fork. My partner had the cubano, which looked wonderful. He ate that whole thing happily and praised it highly. Would I go back? For the happy hour pricing on drinks at the bar, yes. Food, no. read more

I've been here three times, busy weekend lunch and dinner hours, and never had to wait long for a table to open up. As a vegan, it is really hard to find a decent pasta dish at a non-vegan restaurant. Ermanos makes the best plant-based fettuccine Alfredo I've ever had. Throw in their buffalo cauliflower, wide selection of local beer, and jalapeño-infused cocktails, and I'm a repeat customer. read more

Really wanted to like this place. This weekend - after fighting the downtown traffic, paying for parking & finally getting to the restaurant with my family, we were sadly informed that THEY DO NOT HAVE HIGH CHAIRS. So, unfortunately my family couldn't stay to enjoy dinner. This seems like a very basic thing - own a couple of high chairs so you don't turn away families with little ones. (Yes, I am aware the word "bar" is in the name. But, if you've ever been, you'll know that most seating is traditional low-top & the overwhelming majority of patrons were sitting & having dinner- typical restaurant experience). Nowhere on their website does it say they are not family-friendly or little ones aren't welcome. read more

My Fiance and I went to dinner to celebrate our engagement. Wilson made the most incredible drinks while we sat at the bar. Highly recommend the Monsoon, Pomegrante Gunn Fizz, and the Oaxacan Smash. The food was delicious from start to finish. Started with the elote dip and buffalo cauliflower which were both phenomenal. My Fiancé got the Jerk Salmon and nothing was left on the plate. I got the chicken sandwich with wasabi pickles and it was DELICIOUS. Wasabi pickles on the sandwich 10/10. Finished it off with an espresso martini from the nitro tap!! Highly recommend checking out Ermanos Bar and grabbing some delicious food and drinks read more

The food was good, ambiance was great. Cocktails in the secret bar were creative. Good location right off the Sun Tram.

Update: 3 of us here tonight just to kick back. We started with Elote, a wonderful corn chicken mix of yummyness. Oooooo. Zip burger: this is close to illegal! It's killer good! It's a destination burger! It's difficult to describe.... Turkey brea: crunchy toast, succulent turkey. Nice! Tomato soup- a bit much on the onion and basil. We were excited to get a date night and head to 4th Ave for a trip to Ermanos! It didn't disappoint! They were busy (but it was Saturday night) and no tables were available, so we were lucky to snag the only two open seats at the bar. I really enjoyed sitting at the bar, it's been a hot minute since I've sat at a bar so it felt like a treat! Jake was our bartender/server and was awesome! Positive energy emits from him and that's always a bonus when your server has that going on! I felt cared for, which is just the BEST! I ordered the Hypnotizer (which is a "quickie" AKA shot) and asked Jake if I could get that on the rocks instead and it was no problemo! He made it a double, added ice and a slice of lemon... Perfect! My husband had a nice beer (Avery but can't recall specifics), which he really enjoyed. We ordered the avo fries, which were good but pretty simple. I think next time we will try a different appetizer (perhaps the nachos or Elote). For dinner we shared the chorizo burger, which was tasty but a little salty for my palate. I was tempted by the chocolate cake that I saw others ordering but my hubby is not a chocolate cake person and it seems nice to share, so I took a pass (this time)! Ermanos earns a 5 for service and a 4 for food. We loved the vibe here and will absolutely be back to try more drinks/beer and food! We also took a peek in Portal cocktails. I'm hesitant to even mention it because it feels like a secret I need to keep to myself. It is beyond groovy and that's all I can share. Go see it for yourself and you won't be disappointed! read more
