It's been a few years since I've been here but we needed to grab food quickly before a meeting nearby. I ordered the food through DoorDash and my husband tried to pick it up for us but they wouldn't give it to him. A little frustrating because he said my name and what we got. So I had to leave and come pick up the meal. I got the veggie sandwich which was a pretty basic sandwich. My husband got the combo platter with chicken and lamb. We both ate it faster than I could take pictures. It's good to see this place grow, add more options. Parking is a little chaotic since it's a shared lot with a handful of other businesses. I've been going to Erik's for years. Food is absolutely great. However, recently they've been majorly letting me down when it comes to the salads. Just today I ordered a house salad, made a bunch of modifications removing most toppings as I ONLY wanted romaine lettuce, cucumbers, and the protein. I got what I believe is just spring mix and salmon. There was maybe like 4 pieces of romaine in there. Not sure if they just don't offer romaine but this is happened twice now. I'm very disappointed, this isn't want I ordered. Despite that, salmon was perfect. They're usually a great place to eat I enjoy. read more

We were down in Otay for an interview to renew a sentri pass. Flew through the interview, so decided to find someplace to have lunch before heading to the hotel. My wife and I got a bottled beer and a cheeseburger and fries with no added salt.. The counter person said they don't add salt to any of their dishes, so it was great. It's a shared parking lot with not a lot of driveway space, so parking and maneuvering through the lot can be a pain. I asked for a side of ranch to accompany the meal. They have an area with complimentary pickled jalapeños, red spicy salsa, grilled peppers, and ketchup. We saw lots of Homeland Security Officers eating there and asked if the place was good, highly recommended. They offer a variety of food that was delicious, big portions and inexpensive. I'm on a business trip from Los Angeles and wanted to give this a try. Costumer service and ambiance is outstanding. I ordered the beef Kaboob, I don't think it's really Mediterranean food. Mediterranean food consists of Jasmine rice, Greek mint yougurt dressing. They use regular rice and sour cream as their Mint dressing. There is outdoor and indoor seating. There is a soda machine for drinks and horchata and jamaica drinks available. There is a variety of options on the menu from platters to salads to gyros and dessert. I got the gyro platter that comes with gyro meat, 4 pieces of pita bread, rice, and a greek salad with side of tzatziki sauce. The meat was warm and fresh, the pita bread was nice and toasted, the salad was refreshing, but the rice seemed a little overcooked and almost tasted like cafeteria rice. There was nice instrumental background music, not too loud, so you can actually have a conversation with your friends. They specialize in Greek food such as gyros, pitas, Greek salads. I had a Greek salad and added some grilled chicken. It was very delicious, served with some hot pita bread. When we arrived they were quite busy so we found the table outside in the shade. When the crowd thinned out inside we moved inside. They are located with in a shopping center right near the Otay border crossing. The restaurant is owner operated. The staff is quite friendly. This is my go to place in the Otay Mesa area. I have ordered salmon platter, chicken kabob platter and the spinach spanakopita in the past and all have been my favorite. They serve salad and hummus or send kind of dip with each platter. They also serve pita bread which seems like freshly made. I must have been here atleast 10 times and the food is consistently good. I am taking a star off for the slow service. This place gets busy during lunch which leads to a very long wait to get your food.
