I've been coming to Eriks for about 5 years. The quality of the food is good and pretty fresh. I love their vegan choices, the Natural high is my favorite! All of the managers - staff during these years have always been so customer oriented and friendly with smiles and eye contact ;) parking is available in front limited but garage close by along with street parking, just beware of your surroundings. In all honesty if I could rate this a 0 star I really would! I've been coming to Eric for about a year or so now and every time I been everything was been great. Except for today.... I'm super disappointed in Erik's DeliCafe, I started my order with a Cleopatra Wrap and it comes with Chicken breast, crisp fresh romaine, avocado, tomato, parmesan cheese, and croutons with Caesar dressing in a wheat wrap, they forgot the main thing on my wrap the Chicken Breast! then again maybe it was a honest mistake, so I did what any customer would do I went back and told them they made it wrong. I also ordered a Cali Classico and it comes with, Sliced turkey breast, hickory smoked bacon, avocado, mozzarella, artichoke pesto aioli, lettuce, tomato and red onion heated on a Dutch crunch roll, they totally forgot my bacon, I wasn't to upset yet because maybe it was a honest mistake, but this is where it gets bad... I went back to tell them my wrap was wrong before I realized my Cali Classico was wrong because I opened the wrap first. They then remade my wrap but this time they didn't add the avocado! I did not ask them to take off anything so at this point I'm upset because twice they have messed it up forgetting something on their end! They then remade my Cali Classico and this time... they CHANGED my bread without me telling them I did not ask for my bread to be switched and the second time I asked for there NOT to be avocado and I saw the guy tell the worker no avocado on the Cali Classico and they still added avocado after I said NONE. I knew something was off because as I was sitting in the restaurant waiting for them to remake my wrap for the second time as well as my sandwich, another customer walked and something was also wrong with his food so I'm not sure what was going on today in Erik's but I am not a fan of it due to the fact I had to come in TWICE to get my food remade. It was bad enough, I drove away after going to get my food because I thought they would have made it right and which they made the wrap right but not my sandwich after the second time and It was to late because I drove off and I was already upset so I didn't want to go in anymore because they now messed up my time because the messed up the food 4 TIMES. This was our first time at this Erik's Deli location and thanks to Kedar (sorry if I'm misspelling your name), we would probably drive from Fremont to here the next time we crave our "Natural High" sandwich. Even though we got here near closing time, we were greeted nicely and felt welcomed. Kedar, helped us taking and making our order. The staff is friendly and quick, the food has been up to the usual Erik's standards - generous portions of meat, fresh ingredients, and the staff does a great job with any customizations. Erik's has quick service, and it's always a treat when you get street parking right out front. They have a bunch of tables inside for you to enjoy your food there. Erik's is on my rotation of lunch spots. They have quick and friendly service. Plus, you can order ahead on their app, which makes it easier and also earns you rewards. My go-tos are the Farmer's Market sandwich, house salad, and soup with one scoop butternut squash and one scoop veggie. I'm so fortunate that they accommodate this soup request. The Farmer's Market and salad is always fresh. The only downside is if you take it to go, sometimes the bread sticks to the paper, and your sandwich will have a hole in it This is not an issue with all sandwiches though, just this one. The bf's go to is the chicken pesto warmed and my go to is the turkey posted warmed. They also have a v tasty potato salad and they use red potato! Even though the regular size looks small, it's enough to share between two people. We've also tried their pasta salad which was really good too! The service at this place is always super friendly and fast! Every time we go we're always helped by the same people and they've always been nice and efficient! Clean and quiet, nice location. Upon entering, they had a nice little selection of parking, even though I did not have my car I did take notice. The place was clean and smelled fresh. The staff were so nice and patient with my indecisiveness. They had a nice selection of sandwiches and wraps along with food combos. I chose a sandwich and salad. My turkey sandwich was fresh and had plenty of meat and toppings. However, the condiments where a bit shy even after specifying I wanted extra mustard. It did make my sandwich a bit dry, but it was good nonetheless. My garden salad was delicious and super fresh. I loved it! There's nothing worse than finding brown lettuce Or soggy tomatoes in your salad. Not here! My vegetables and sprouts were super fresh and crisp. I have been craving for a salad for quite a while and as I was searching on Yelp, I came upon Erik's DeliCafe. I was so excited to get myself a salad and a sandwich. Hubby and I came about an hour before closing time on Saturday. The staff who helped us out was really nice. She was new at it but was really sweet. I ordered the Pilgram's Progress and a Chicken Gorgonzola salad. Hubby had the Turkey with Pesto and the regular size order of the Caesar salad. I also ordered the Sea Dog for my mom, no cheddar with swish not warmed. Omg.. the sandwiches were amazing!! The flavors just balanced each other out and the salad was so yummy! My mom liked her sandwich as well and so did Hubby. The one thing that could've made everything better was his Caesar salad. I don't know if they made it wrong, because it doesn't look like a Caesar salad. There was fresh greens instead of romaine lettuce and they gave the wrong salad dressing. Ingredients are always fresh and really like the addition of alfalfa sprouts that makes for a delicious sandwich - adding texture and a different level of flavor...most places don't offer except another wonderful spot on Telegraph in Berkeley. Unfortunately, orders can be delayed which I tend to be more understanding than most as I worked in the hospitality industry. More so during these times where businesses are struggling: short staffed, inventory shortages and finding good help is difficult. Bryan, the owner is doing his best at fulfilling orders while training staff at the same time...so when seeing some low reviews a big "boo-hoo" you had to wait for your order. Probably best not to order during peak hours...just a suggestion so you don't get disappointed and have it ruin your day! Smh If you haven't tried a sandwich from here, stop by and give it a try! Gave this deli a three star from the beginning . You can read the previous review. The customer service is not good. I even came back twice to give it another chance. I stood there for an additional 15 only to be told they didn't have stuffing. I waited for 30 minutes for a sandwich with my son and they forgot to make it. One of the guys was swearing in the back making the sandwiches. I only have an hour lunch. Now I am giving this a NEGATIVE -1! The owner is harassing me and messaging me on the side. Calling me Karen and being really disrespectful. I told him to hold himself and his staff accountable for their customer service and behavior. We like to support local businesses when we can. Today we decided to order from Erik's Deli Cafe on B St on an app. My husband had the Ruben Sandwich with potato salad and I had a small Mac Salad with BBQ Chips He loved the sandwich but unfortunately the potato salad taste kind of missed the mark. The Mac Salad I had was great as it had hints of black olives inside which I absolutely love black olives. I wish there was a way to customize it so that I can add extra in the salad. Sorry I am just like that The BBQ chips were awesome as well. It's located in Downtown Hayward off B Street which has other things to enjoy when you are out and about. Since this store is on the side of the street and traffic is one way you will have to use the parking garage in order to get here. This is a decent alternative to some of the more well known sandwich shops and has a broader selection than just sandwiches. It's a must try if you have not been here before or not ordered from there. read more

Sandwich has smushed bread on top & stale bread on the bottom . Ok - drive back to get sandwich fixed . Friendly manager - i wait for another sandwich. Came here on a Sunday afternoon to pick up an online order of 3 sandwiches and a soup. Even though I came at the time it said it would be ready by, they didn't even start working on it until I got there. Staff there seemed busy and slightly frazzled. The food overall is good but a few mishaps cause they were so busy. The farmer's market wrap is surprisingly flavorful and I would highly recommend it but cause the staff was so frazzled, they completely forgot to put in avocado which is the first ingredient listed. They also forgot the sunflower seeds too. Would have been more delicious if those ingredients were in there. The pot belly sandwich is not as good in my opinion. Definitely way blander and way too boring. I'd say go for another option instead. The clam chowder is a bit on the milkier and cheesier tasting side. Overall fine but a bit cheesier than I normally like my chowder to be. I'd like to go again and try some other stuff. Hopefully they do better next time. read more

I get my usual pilgrim's progress with no onions and on wheat bread. My sandwich was sooo good the only thing was it came with onions!! Great looking menu, but actually sandwich looks nothing like the pic. I had a CA Crunch which was supposed to have Pastrami and turkey. My sandwich had ONLY PASTRAMI. One 1/2 of sandwich had one slice and 2nd 1/2 had almost 2 slices. The photo of the sandwich has multiple slices of both deli meats. The avo and sprouts were really fresh and tasty. When I ate the sandwich I primarily tasted bread, Avocado and cheese. The staff is very pleasant. Sandwich was clearly a disappointment and not worth the price. I never make reviews but I felt like I had to this time. I love Eriks sandwiches and especially their carrot cake so this is a regular spot for me. I paid and picked up my food on 6/22 and my girlfriend was called the next day being told that I paid with fake money because it was rejected from the bank. I question how they were able to tell how my 20 amongst all the others from the day was fake ? Let alone the fact that I had gotten my 20 from the bank myself! I called the owner myself to straighten things out and He was just saying he knew it was mine and even ended up hanging up on me.
