Unfortunately, when we were handed off to the front desk, the level of customer service dropped a bit. I had to ask about the warranty and return policy myself, as this information wasn't explained before the total was presented. The delivery process went well. Two service technicians removed the old stove and quickly installed the new one. They were very patient with my mother and took the time to thoroughly explain and demonstrate the stove's features. They even went back to the store to retrieve a copy of the appliance manual, which was greatly appreciated. Overall, I was impressed with our experience and would encourage others to give Pate Appliances a chance if they're in the market for a new appliance.

Both units were defective from day one -- the refrigerator's ice maker overflows and jams the freezer drawer, and the oven doesn't work at all. Instead of taking ownership and helping to resolve the issue through the manufacturer, Custom Distributors pushed us back and forth between Thermador, Wolf, and a third-party repair company. For a brand-new, premium purchase, that's completely unacceptable. What's worse, I later learned that the refrigerator defect was already known before delivery, and newer production runs had been fixed -- yet no one disclosed this to us or attempted to address it beforehand. I've given them multiple opportunities to make this right, but they've chosen to deflect rather than resolve the problem. Buyers beware -- if you have an issue after purchase, you'll be on your own.
