We attended a Kids Workshop here with a group. The staff working the event were so kind and great with the kids! The set up was really great - they had multiple "tables" arranged up and down an aisle with trash buckets available at each. A table next to the staff's offered all of the supplies needed - tools, full paint selection, and the like for kids to get what they wanted/needed to complete their projects. The store appeared to cover all of the usual Home Depot areas one would expect - lumber, paint, tools, appliances, etc. They have a large parking lot available. read more

Satisfactory selection, knowledgeable sales force, but buyer beware the service dept and customer service dept have pledged their allegiance to the manufacturer. We received a lemon dishwasher- 2 visits from diagnostics ppl said so. Its been 10 days, and we have yet to be refunded. They now need the machine back to refund us, but they took our cash and asked us to wait a week for delivery/ installation. We purchased a KitchenAid made by Whirlpool, fyi. read more

Be careful if you buy appliance from HD! We bought a complete kitchen set (fridge, oven, microwave, dish washer) and thought we got a great deal until they started ringing up all extras like mounting hose for dish washer, electric cord for oven, electric cord for dishwasher, mounting brackets... and more. All that cost as much as the dishwasher alone. Then after we paid everything they said it would be 4-6 weeks for the order. We were led to believe before we spent the hour ringing everything up that everything was in stock. Oh well, we thought it was a good buy. So 6 weeks after the order it was delayed another week and we had to move our scheduled around and take off work to meet their schedule. When the highly anticipated items were delivered they were beat to pieces. They only thing we ended up accepting was the fridge. Everything else looked like it came through a hail storm or was delivered via the hurricane that went through the Carolinas No apologies, just ' it happens often these days'. Looting salt into the open wounds, another 4-6 weeks. Who knows what will show up. What a waste of time and $$$. I encourage everyone to stay away from these people! Yesterday I took my chainsaw in for a repair. This location has a tool rental that also repairs equipment. The staff at the tool rental went to work right away on my chainsaw. I bought it back in April and had a problem with the brake mechanism. Well this group quickly disassembled my chainsaw, found broken spring, repaired it, and gave it back to me within about 20 minutes. Great customer service. Great group of workers in the tool rental. I don't necessarily frequent Home Depot that often. Not really the do it yourself home building/remodeling/enhancing type of person..but any time I have had to pick up something here it's been nice. I've had keys made here..purchased wood..random fixer-upper tools and materials..paint..a little bit of everything. This store is always nice and clean and the employees here are always friendly and helpful. For someone like me who is completely lost when I'm given the task to build something or fix something, the workers here have always been able to help me find what I'll need for each particular situation. The prices here seem reasonable..comparable to other home and hardware stores out there..not that I have that much of a point of reference on the subject. If I'm in need of a random item or service like the ones I've listed and I'm in the area..I'll be returning here..for sure. read more

Sadly what can you say about Home Depot that hasn't already been said or discussed or even complained about. Like all places like this they have 90% of what people need, but sadly almost never is staff available to ask questions of or to assist in finding those hard to find items. Yep all Home stores are the same no matter how they spell the company name. Customer service has begun to decline and it isn't the company fault, well at least not completely. I did find what I needed and paid and left. I just wish it didn't take 30 minutes to find things. read more

Someone needs to re-arrange this location's departments. It's not just that it's different from any other Home Depot location, but in checking for flooring, it was split with bathroom bits and pieces in-between the two sections. I didn't mind that it was at the back of the store because that's like most Lowe's where I've shopped, but separating the products--and not even logically (carpeting, tile, and some laminates to the right, laminates and hardwood to the left, I think) doesn't make it easy to shop. Prices are typically reasonable but a bit high, and you can save quite a bit by paying attention to weekly deals. Hopefully, you can find what you want before the week is finished. I was asked by an associate if I needed help finding anything, so that was a plus. read more

The usual. It's just another Home Depot location. They've got all the same stuff that all the other Home Depots have. So with that in mind, you'll be satisfied. But then, like with all other Home Depot locations, it's the lack of customer service associates throughout the store that really becomes annoying. In most cases, I'm the kind of guy that knows what he's looking for when he goes in there. In fact, the Home Depot website will help you by giving you the aisle and location of the item you're looking for. So if you find it online, do yourself a favor and record the location for the item you're going there for. Trying to find somebody to help you find something can make your visit twice as long that it needs to be. Unfortunately, when you do actually see a customer service associate on the floor, it's common to see two or three of them together standing in an aisle just talking amongst each other and don't really offer any help. At times, it almost seems like they go out of their way to avoid speaking to customers. Don't get me wrong though. You will, from time to time, find the customer service associate who knows the meaning of customer service, understands this part of their job and will come up to you and ask if they could be of any assistance. It's nice to feel like you're not bothering somebody when you ask them for a little help in their store. Would I go back? Yes. I go there quite frequently. The service isn't going to stop me but it's definitely going to make me try to do what I can on my own before hand, in order to make my visit more efficient. read more

This weekend I had a mission. Slats for my antique bed. So I went to Home Depot. I read a DYI instruction site that told me they'd cut my lumber for me. I thought that was rather nice of them and headed over. I had my measurements and what I thought I needed. I'm no stranger to hardware stores. Usually I don't need much help because I have a smaller project or a plan. This time, I really needed help. Luckily, the guys in the lumber section of the store were really, really helpful. I told the guy (Stephen, I think) what I was doing and what I thought I needed. We talked about it. I showed him pictures of the bed frame. We talked with another employee about my idea. He helped me decide and there was a cheaper way to do it. Yay! He cut my boards and everything was going really well. I felt like I was winning. He put them on a little cart that I hauled up to check out. Then I got them home... I had measured properly! Three times, even. Not twice. But I hadn't considered that the boards would move! And when they moved, they fell through. So, back I went to the Home Depot. I admit, this was embarrassing. I considered going to another store. I could have saved face! But I did not. The guys here were really nice and funny. They seemed pleased to the hear update on my project. I'm sure it's a win for them when they can fix a problem for a customer without ever seeing the situation. Ultimately, I had more boards cut. I probably need another. But it works. read more

I love Home Depot for vegetables to plant in the garden. They are my go-to for veggies and fruits. Their quality is good and they perform well in the garden, as long as they are maintained. I will buy other garden supplies if I am here and forget something while at Menards. However, I pretty much use Home Depot as my go-to vegetable and fruit source. I also will buy plants from here if Menards doesn't have what I'm looking for. My grandma also purchased our two daughters play set from here. They also have a service where you can email or call (I can't remember) and sign up for someone to come out and put your play set together (Basically finding a local certified contractor). It's not through Home Depot but a company they partnered with. It's free lance workers who do this work originally on the side outside of this program and make extra money doing this. They are certified and the program who it's through, I believe does back ground checks. It's pretty cool and convenient. read more

I've noticed a significant difference between Home Depot and Lowes for a while. I live closer to H.D. so I have been shopping there for a few months now. Primarily it is the employees that are not as friendly or helpful as you would hope. I was there today and needed a 10 or 12 ft. piece of shelf from the shelving dept. I am elderly and waited at the end of the ailse looking for a worker. Two men wearing their aprons came up the store ailse and I said "sir" to them 3 times before getting their attention. When I did, the younger man (later learned was Emmanuel) snapped at me in front of other customers stating "I am with a customer!!" I was mortified and other customers shook their heads and raised eyebrows at the snapping. After I choose smaller shelves that I could get myself (about 5 mins later), I was finishing putting them in my cart when "Snappy" came into the aisle and asked what I needed. I told him to take his self back where he came from, I had it taken care of. As I told the manager DAN later, look around this store, it isn't filled with male customers anymore, 50% of those in your store are women. We are now a large part of the home improvement movement and therefore our dollars talk too. End of story, it will be a LONG time before I ever step foot in a Home Depot. Money is tight and I can only speak with my purse to be heard because the male leadership at this particular store defends their own. read more

First off let me say this. I understand this is a weird time we are currently living and stuff is still crazy. I placed an order online on May 3rd in the evening after close. There was a notice on the site that said something along the lines of "due to being busy there may be delays". That's okay I get it. I got an email around 10pm on May 4th saying my order was ready for pick up (they were already closed). One of the items I ordered was now out of stock even though the site said 12+ available but again that's okay they have bigger drill bit set and I have to go in to pick up my order anyway. When I get there they are packed but they are doing their best to keep traffic one way in one way out. They are counting customers at the door. All the associates are wearing masks and some gloves. They are wiping down the carts when they come in. All the departments have 6ft marks on the floor if there's someplace a line would be. This is the only positive from my experience. I go to the power tools section and the aisle and the bay I need. There are zero drill bit kits on the wrack. Also understand it can be a struggle to keep things stocked. I look up at the over flow shelf and there are boxes of kits (every kit that was out on the wrack had at least a box plus some loose kits from other boxes), including the one that I was told was sold out (unfortunately someone is not doing their job of keeping things stocked properly and losing sales by telling customers they are sold out when they are not). I tracked down an associate (working in the power tools department) to get kit down for me. He comes over doesn't believe I am telling him the right location, wonders off to another location and tells me that they should be here not the place I was looking (wrong). Then comes back and says I have to go find a ladder. He pulls a kit down for me and does not even bother to pull any of the other kits down to restock the shelves (seems like a waste and customers are gonna get aggravated). When I left him he was taking the ladder back. Finally I get to customer service to pick up my order. I tell the lady my name and she goes to a computer to look it up then goes to look for my order. She wondered through the customer service section a couple times then went back to the computer shook her head and wondered back to look for it. She did this a couple times then wondered back to the computer wrote down my item and went to pull it off the shelf. My order that I was told was picked and ready for pick up was never actually picked. Management clearly needs to figure out what's going on with the people who are supposed to be stocking shelves and the people picking orders. She brings back my order, prints me a receipt, and tells me I have to go check out my other item at the registers. Okay incredibly weird and absurd policy. You're are gonna make your customers wait in multiple lines and interact will way more people than necessary, why? And let's remember the only reason I wasn't picking up the drill bit kit at customer service is because someone didn't do their job properly and stock the shelves or even look a little harder to restock them. I also never received an apology for how long it took or that my item wasn't even ready for me to pick up. I get it stuff happens and stores are learning how to cope with new situations but my whole experience was a mess from start to finish. This whole store is a mess. I will never be returning to this Home Depot. read more

#HomeDepot #robbed us. 4 day flooring install took 6 months to complete. Wrong materials ordered, floors damaged on multiple occasions, installers robbed us, communication horrendous throughout the process. I understand mishaps and bumps in the road but I expect good customer service and solutions delivered. This has not happened- got a whopping 15% back. NEVER USE Home Depot. Full details below: Oct 2016- #HomeDepot flooring quote Dec 2016- floor install scheduled. Was supposed to take 2-4 days total. Subcontractor tore up old tile and carpet and then discovered new floors were #damaged AND #wrongstairs ordered. Had to reorder floors, move daughter's 1 year bday party to new location and celebrate Christmas w concrete foundation. Jan 2017- next set of floors arrive, ALSO #DAMAGED. Decide to go w completely different floor style since we couldn't get it right the first few times. Feb-Mar 2017- yet again, next set of new floors arrive. Subcontractor called off job. New subcontractors ROBBED OUR HOUSE. They got kicked off job. New floor guys put on job. Finish floors. But guess what? Not enough stairs ordered so can't finish job until more stairs come in. Finish job mid March. Communication from #HomeDepot throughout entire process was #horrendous. I told store manager multiple times that I'm in the business world and I'm more than understanding of #problems but I ultimately expect solutions to #issues. The manager said he would "fight" to get us reimbursed. The final refund was finally delivered to us in May of 2017. I would easily spend the cost of our floors at #HomeDepot again in the next couple of years but instead I will boycott them since they chose a measly 15% refund read more

Bought a new Honda lawnmower several days ago at a great price ($399) and it started and performed flawlessly until I ran over something sticking out of the ground that I didn't see, and the mower stopped.I restarted it, but it didn't sound quite right, so I took it in to this HD to see if it had been damaged.(This particular one has an outdoor equipment repair department, not all do) Much to my surprise, they swapped it out with another new mower and didn't charge me anything. WOW, what service ! I honestly wasn't expecting anything like that. This mower was selling like hotcakes and the only 3 left were stacked up about 15 feet off the floor So a forklift was used to get me a new one. Mike in the service department was very helpful, as were Tim, Miguel, Nick, and Dale. Good teamwork by all. I have been a Home Depot customer for almost 20 years and this is a great example why. read more

I purchased multiple appliances from HD and was told my scheduled time for delivery (the night before) was between 7:30 am and 11:30 am. I had taken the day off because I did not know when to expect the delivery then to add to my frustration, I received a call from the delivery service at 1pm telling me they have some bad news that their delivery truck broke down and the earliest they could deliver my appliances would be Monday ( no timeframe given at that time) I called and spoke with one of the "sales" personnel where he informed me that it wasn't their problem and he laughed. I am still waiting for my appliances to be delivered and I am having to take additional time off to receive them. The delivery company HD hired and HD staff have absolutely no customer service. read more

I just recently had Home Depot's instal services out to install a hot water heater. I was quoted 1500 which I thought was high and included a fee for a power vent install. The heater itself was 900. I was reluctant to pay that much but figured I would get good quality service and no haste on the warranty so I agreed. Keep in mind my plumber quoted me 150 for the install as I was going with Althea same type of heater in the same spot. Did not use him as he was out of town when my heater went out and I have small kids so I figured some of the increase would be worth it for convince. The installer came out and did a great job and only took an hour and 15 minutes to entirely complete the project and leave. I was charge an additional $200 for what he called rerouting (please see picture) which only included connecting the hot water heater cold and hot copper pipes no more than 3 inches on each side which I would have assumed that was part of their normal install. I thought this was a mistake and clearly this person was trying to get more for nothing and thought I could clear it up with a simple phone call. When I called the operator justified the charges and stated that these changes were needed due to my county laws to bring the heater up to code which again included nothing but connecting the hot water heater. Please do not waste your money As I did and have a trusted plumber install your heater before it goes out. FYI the expansion tank was also my old expansion tank and they also put the same drain copper pipe back on. Can't believe they charge me over $800 for one hour of labor! FYI it does seem to be a great hot water heater though. So to be clear I have no problem with the heater just the outrageous, unfair and deceptive Install charges. read more

OUTSTANDING SERVICE in the lumber department! Had to create some footer/landing steps for my new deck. Designed it using long 4x6" treated lumber timbers. The folks were readily available to cut these and related pieces (20+ cuts in all). Flawless, straight, perfect dimensions. Very heavy, they stacked them right on the cart for me before & after sawing. Offered to tip this guy (saved me a fortune in buying a saw + all the time it would take me) but he refused to accept given their policy. Just built the footer steps and installed, perfect. I checked several places on who carried this timber size and would saw it, Lowes would not. Home Depot has earned my loyal business. read more

We went to this store to purchase a washer and dryer on February 24, 2018. They were really busy, so we went to the parking lot and ordered our washer and dryer through the Home Depot website, which was no big deal. Delivery is free, but you have to have the whole day open because they call you the day before deliver and give you a 4 hour window in which delivery will occur. My husband and I work full time Monday - Friday so we needed weekend delivery. The next available weekend day they had was Saturday, March 10th. On the 9th at about 5pm we got a call informing us that our delivery window was 1-5 on the 10th. On the 10th we unhooked our our washer and dryer and moved them out of the way, we cleaned our basement and moved things in preparation for the delivery people, so they would have easy access to getting our machines in to the basement. We had purposely not done our laundry on Friday as we didn't want to be in the middle of it if the delivery would have been early Saturday morning, so we had lots and lots of laundry waiting to be done. We were excited to get our new washer and dryer. We got a call at 4pm on the 10th to inform us that the delivery truck broke down and they would NOT be delivering our machines today. They use a third party for delivery, and they don't deliver on Sundays or Mondays, so the next time they could set us up for delivery was Tuesday. I explained that that we work on Tuesday, and the earliest either of us can be home is 5pm so they would need the delivery to be scheduled for 5pm or later. This doesn't work with their system in which they will call us on Monday and give us a 4 hours deliver window. I asked for them to deliver tonight or tomorrow. They refused. The young man I spoke with on the phone also refused to give me the name or contact information of his boss, informing me that he was the only manager there today. I repeatedly asked for the information for the person above him and he continued to refuse. He told my husband that if we can't be available for the delivery on Tuesday, 3/13/18, the next available opening they have is 3/20/18. We've already patiently waited two weeks due to their limited delivery availability, and now we are being told we might get it Tuesday or we may have to wait another week and a half. After talking to this person, name not identified, my husband called the Home Depot corporate office and got the same spiel. I'm so frustrated by their lack of give a shits. I know darn well that they have more than one truck and could absolutely have delivered to us if they had chosen to. I understand that it probably would have been a hassle for the delivery company, but that is literally their job. We didn't get our paid for product today because someone from the delivery company made the choice not to delivery and Home Depot supported that choice. I hope the washer and dryer our nice, but I will never purchase a product for delivery from Home Depot again. read more

From the moment I walked in I received excellent customer service someone pulled a cabinet for me right away and did the exchange. They helped me unload and load the cabinet. That's great service! Save yourself a headache and do not take home depot up on their flooring installations. They contract out and both companies have terrible customer service. They have hidden fees and left excess vinyl,glue, and gloss at our home. Each person I raised a question to was rude and dismissive to my concerns. No one contacted me when my flooring arrived until I called in to check myself. We then had to wait another week for it to be installed. For the full price of installing the vinyl we got this ugly tack board around our cabinets and baseboards. They provide bare minimum "service". We will be taking future flooring needs elsewhere. read more
