Excellent at fixing screen doors and a great place to get your Propane tanks refilled. (seems I always run out when we have company over for a cook out...and someone walks through the sliding screen door at some point in the evening!) If you have a problem with plumbing, painting, yard work, anything related to your home repairs, These folks can help, and it won't cost you an arm and a leg.

I have been to this store several times because of random issues I've had in my apartment, and the staff here are incredibly friendly. As soon as anyone walks in the door they ask what you are looking for, and as long as they aren't swamped, they will come help you find whatever you are searching for. The aisles are nicely laid out with signs displaying what is where. Prices are reasonable, and even if they were more expensive than a standard hardware store, I'd honestly come here first anyways. I've gone in for a standard extra key being made, to a toilet flapper, and one time in an emergency I even took the door lock off the door and to the store. My key no longer worked, and the property couldn't get out that day to fix it because of several emergencies. I unscrewed the deadbolt lock, and walked in with an exasperated look on my face. The staff immediately came to my aid and picked out a new lock for me. Awesome. I love this place, and it makes me want to be a rehabber or DIY pro just so I can go in here to buy more stuff!

This is my go-to store when I need home use basic hand tools and power tools. All of their hand…read moretools have a lifetime warranty. If the tool breaks, just take it back and they will give you a new one, no receipt needed. The warranty on their power tools is pretty much what is standard in the industry. However, if you buy the extended warranty, you can use a tool for a year and then return it to get a brand new tool, even if there is nothing wrong with it. Granted, most of their tools are not made in the U.S. but who can afford tools made here anymore? The tools that they sell are good enough for home use. I use them at work in a machine shop environment but that is not hard usage for them. They might not hold up well in an environment like an auto shop where tools are usually subjected to hard use. They have just about everything that you might need at really great prices. Most of what they carry are tools and tool related, but they also have other items. They carry a selection of water pumps, gasoline engines, air compressors, motorcycle stands, and oddities like a tennis racket style bug zapper. They even carry some radio controlled toys. All at at affordable prices. They even have gun safes. You never know what you are going to find there. But perhaps the best thing about shopping at Harbor Freight is the wonderful customer service that you receive. Everyone that I have ever encountered there is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. And often, when I go up to check out, the cashier will notice that there is a coupon available for the item that I am purchasing, so they pull out a book of their advertisements, find the coupon and scan it saving me another couple of dollars off their already affordable prices.

I took the drawer into Rockler and was extremely surprised when I was told they could make the guides for me. I think his name was Sullivan?, my reciept says employee 60756. He made exactley what I needed and showed me how to install them. A welcome treat in today's retail environment.

The gentleman at the counter couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. Let me take bolts out to the parking lot to match up what I needed. I insisted he charged me $20 to show my appreciation for the help and hospitality but he refused and only charged me the $3. Not enough good things to say about the store and its people. Can't accept cash and insist I need to buy a gift card. Item to arrive in a few days. A few days later, I am advised that the item will not arrive for at least six weeks. Asked to cancel and for my cash to be refunded and was told that was impossible because I bought the item on a gift card.!? Their solution? Use the store credit to buy something more expensive that they actually do have in the store. Textbook bait and switch.
