This Home Depot is tucked right off the expressway off 71 in fields Ertl. It's not difficult to get to, but if you are not headed that way, I can see where some might choose a different store for their home repair needs based on location. My garage door broke, so I went to both stores this time, Lowe's and Home Depot, to check to see which had a better deal. Home Depot beat Lowe's, hands down. I need to remember to always check the prices between those two stores instead of just thinking about convenience and location to my house. They really are not that far apart. I also love that Home Depot gives employees with special needs a chance. I was greeted and helped so very much by a young man with autism. He was so smart, and after I thanked him and told him how smart he was, his smile was so big! It made the entire trip worth it. Sometimes I don't think stores give everyone a chance, so I'm so thankful that there is a place for all people. It really touched my heart, and I'm so glad I went! I'm sure I look out of place, as a young gal wandering around a hardware store, but every staff member is so friendly that I feel welcomed (and I know I'm not the only one!). I've gotten my live Christmas tree every year from Lowe's since I moved into my new house. You can find a freshly cut one for as low as $35-$100. I always get the scotch pine, as I don't need anything too fancy. I love that Christmas tree smell, and Lowes has always helped me fulfill that Christmas desire! This year's Christmas adventure was no exception, as a kind staff member who worked outside (his name is David--if you see him make sure to say hello!) went above and beyond his responsibilities to help me get my Christmas tree into the car. He patiently waited as I wrapped the tree and ran home to empty my trunk. This has definitely not been the first time that I have felt the workers there exceed my expectations, and the store definitely deserves an increase to five stars. I am thankful this Lowe's is in my neighborhood!

I have a beef. I bought an item today at Lowe's. Not a huge item but because it was on sale I…read morebought it. When I took it up to the garden check out they charged me the regular price, not the sales price. My second beef is at the garden checkout you can not see the price they are charging you. So after I paid I inspected the receipt and could see the over charge. When I bought the mistake to the clerk's attention I was told I would have to go to custom service for the refund. Is it just me, why should I be the one to go to customer service? They're the one who made the mistake. I think they should have corrected their mistake at the register.

Not only did he take the time to check out my design but he cut all of my exact measurements using plywood. On top of all that, because I worked in a low Income school, he donated the wood to me.
