Getting an appointment with Ribbit Heating/AC was particularly easy, with their dispatcher not only providing lots of opportunities for appointments, but also giving us follow-up calls on the day of, ensuring that we were home in time to meet the service techs. The two techs who arrived were both timely and courteous, swiftly diagnosing the issue with our A/C unit. They provided accurate pricing throughout the process and were done quickly. And right now? Our A/C is blowing cool and comfortable for the rest of the summer. No complaints whatsoever!

Pro-Safe Insulation arrived on time. Men went to work right away. All was going well until...the…read morestepped on my ceiling drywall. I immediately asked the worker what happened. He m,emetic nail pop and nothing else. I waited, and did not accept the non-response well. I called the company and expressed my concern that the worker seemed non-chaalant about what happened, and wondered if Pro-Safe would take care of it. Immediately I heard, the contract states we are not responsible for 'mail pops and other consequential" damages. I asked to hear from the owner. Jeff called and immediately went on offense about how dare I insinuate his company was not reputable and so on...although I dont believe I insisted such. Again he mentioned that Pro-Safe was not responsible for nail pops...that stuff happens. Mind your, at this point, no one looked at the ceiling from the inside. He simply defended that his guys stepped on a beam causing a nail pop. Hang in there...photos to follow. Finally, one of his guys looked at the damage and agreed...a bit more than a nail pop. He proceeded to tell me that something gave way in the attic, a guy lost his balance and stepped on the ceiling. He caught himself but the weight bowed and cracked the ceiling. Accidents happen. Jeff and I talked again, both a bit calmer. He agreed to send a guy out to repair the ceiling and agreed to take the bill. The drywall person Jeff sent was excellent. However, there is only so much one can do on a ceiling repair without painting the entire ceiling. So, while the damage is gone, the mismatch remains. Lessons here for me: Stay calm, even when the owner is not. Convince them to assess before citing contract language. For the owner: Get facts first...all the facts. Before you cite a routine nail pop, someone should assess. Expect owners to get excited when one of your guys nearly comes through the ceiling. Bottom line: Workers were efficient, got the job done in a few hours. Not sure if I'll see an ROI but that is what happens with insulation...you hope for improved comfort. All in all, would have been much better without the damage.

This morning, I called several places, but no one answered except one Rouse. I spoke with Ken and explained the issue. He said he would be at my house between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and arrived around 12 p.m. He checked everything out and found that our thermostat was causing most of the problems. He replaced some wires while listening to my kids in the background. The cost was reasonable, and he was very upfront about the potential issues and solutions. Thanks guys!

Left a message on a Sunday expecting a call back on Monday. He called back on Sunday and scheduled the visit at 8:30 the next morning. The system would have cost $15,000- so we have gone elsewhere with our business. Keith was unprofessional and would not even clarify why we should buy his system. WARNING: They threatened to "put a lien on the house" when I questioned their pricing…read more I'm 45 years old, have lived in three 100-year-old homes, and have never before left a negative review for a contractor. I hired Honey Go Fix It to reseat a toilet. I chose them because of their 4.9 Google rating and promise of a free estimate. When the plumber arrived, I approved and signed an estimate on a small phone screen. I trusted what he was telling me and was not shown the actual dollar amount displayed clearly on the screen before signing. The technician completed the work in less than 20 minutes and then showed me a bill for $481.65. I was stunned. A wax ring costs about $10 and no other materials were needed. The price was astronomical for the work performed. The verbal quote was mumbled and unclear. When I saw $481.65 on the final bill, I genuinely thought there was a mistake. I declined to pay immediately and called the office to resolve it. Here's where it really went wrong. I spoke to Kassandra, the President of the company, to discuss the situation. Within the first two minutes, before I could even fully explain what happened, she threatened to file a lien on my house if I didn't pay immediately. I offered to pay $300 to resolve it amicably. That's still $900/hour for 20 minutes of work with a $10 part. Kassandra refused via email, claiming their responsibility is to "maintain fair and consistent pricing," while simultaneously admitting that they are "adding extra clarity steps during the estimate approval process to help prevent future misunderstandings." Consistent pricing? Maybe. Fair? Absolutely not. The owner acknowledged in writing that their current process causes confusion. Yet, she still demanded full payment and threatened our property rights. Being immediately threatened with a lien on our house for simply asking questions destroyed any chance of restoring trust in her company. I paid the invoice to avoid the hassle of a lien, but I'm leaving this review so others can protect themselves. If you use this company: 1. Get the total dollar amount in writing, on paper, in large readable text, before you sign anything. 2. Research what competing plumbers charge for the same work. 3. If you can't clearly see the price or feel rushed or pressured, do not sign. This company has lost my business and recommendation. I hope this review helps you make an informed choice.

Then decided to tell me that they are running behind. Could not give me an update to when. 1:54pm still nothing. Had to call Home Depot and ask what is going on. 2:59pm at my house with no heads up. Upset that no one is home now. Finally called me and I told them I will be back in 30 mins. They came inside and tried to tell me I needed all of these things. Told them I didn't need them and they said then we can't do the install. Ask the guy to leave and he did. The best part was he said it would take 6 hours to do the job and drain the old tank. Now I know why they are behind.
