Great service! Awesome technician! Reliable, kind and was able to get the parts needed to fix my ice maker very fast.

What a crapy company. The installer does a mediocre job of installing an AC unit and takes no responsibility for taking short cuts.

The rep that came out from this company arrived on time, but that's about as good as it got. The rep had 0 personality and was downright rude to my ailing mother. He came and went to look at the dishwasher and stated that it would need pulled from the counter. Why wasn't this stated before he ever showed up? Instead, he asked if we could remove it or had anyone we could call to do so. I dont know if anyone has something they can call to do such a task at 8 am on speed dial, but we sure don't! He then told us he won't risk taking it out and damaging the flooring, so instead pulled the bottom panel and stated that he'd have to order a part to repair it. My only concern is that without seeing the whole unit, how are we certain that the correct part is being ordered. I would love to tell what his name was. However, I was never provided with a name! Man had no people skills whatsoever, and for someone who works hand in hand with customers, I think he may need a new line of work!

That guy found an $8 part bad just by following the guide and doing some basic trouble shooting. Sorry guys, I'll stick with the other guy. If you can't afford to throw money at parts, you might want to call another guy.

Let me tell you, I can't say enough about this company!…read more Looking for a company with huge brand recognition? Look no further! Every other contractor I had out knew this one by name! In fact, they all mentioned how they are called to fix every job 72 Degrees/South Home Air does. Let me level with you on the kind of work they do, because Lord knows they can't! They installed my new condenser so crookedly, it might have fallen over if you touched it. So, my BRAND NEW unit was getting some great extra wear and tear on every single component. But hey, these guys are looking to save you money! They knew those pesky evaporators are expensive so they didn't even bother bringing it up. They saved me a ton of money until my indoor unit sprung a coolant leak at the evaporator and froze my entire line. Turns out that on the first day of HVAC school they teach you that if you replace an old condenser that uses R-22 refrigerant with one that uses R-410A, you need to also replace the evaporator with a compatible type. Or don't. Then your air conditioning can run less efficiently and inevitably start to leak because R-410A runs at a higher pressure. Heck, they want to save you money so much they must be losing money! That is probably why their first company, 72 Degrees, filed for bankruptcy and they have made another company now called South Home Air. So just be forewarned, you won't have to worry about calling if you have a problem, they will probably be out of business by the time you get a hold of them! Speaking of calling contractors, don't worry if you hate contractors giving you the run around when you try to call them. When you call these guys, you will get the unintelligible owner, Jim, whom you won't be able to understand anyway! Just in case you can, don't talk to him too much (about things like when they can send someone out) or he might just yell at you and hang up. Are you sick of contractors that don't wipe their feet when they come in your house? Well don't worry, these guys won't even come inside to check out anything besides what they were specifically sent to fix. If they had come in my house, they probably would have noticed my condensate line that was doing nothing to stop water from staying in the unit and making it prone to rust and other fun. Just make sure you wipe your own feet when you get back from chasing them down the road because they left without saying a word, leaving you questioning what they even did... at least that's how they treated me--they couldn't leave fast enough, I didn't get to ask them any questions about their shoddy work. But you have to be saying, Brandon, look at these 5 star reviews they have on facebook! You are right, LOOK AT THEM! They are all profiles that have few friends, don't even live in Ohio, and post nothing or links for other companies. Just click on a few... ...like "Ashley Leah", lives in Michigan, last facebook post 2015, but she decided to review South Home Air October 2017? And at the same time she also reviewed Jimmy Z Appliance Repair in Seattle, WA? Man she really gets around! ...like "Henderson Hinton", lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he went to community college, last post also in 2015. But apparently South Home Air has a wide coverage area because in October 2017 they cleaned his dryer vents. ...you know what is weird, they have a string of 5 star reviews in 2017-- on 10/19, 10/20, 10/23, 10/25, 10/30, 10/31, 11/23. I am surprised they were smart enough to realize if they faked them all on the same day it would have looked even more suspicious. THIS COMPANY IS USING FAKE PROFILES TO PAD IN 5 STAR REVIEWS BOTTOM LINE This company is a bunch of hacks and poor excuses for HVAC technicians. They cost me tons of time and money, put me thru mounds of frustration, and the worst part of all, put my family in danger--I have household members susceptible to heat stroke and they left me without AC for the better of 2 months in the middle of summer. Not to mention what could have happened if we didn't notice all the problems they had left and stopped using the unit... water damage, water in electrical components, lines bursting, who knows what kind of nightmare they set us up for. Luckily we finally got a REAL contractor thru our home warranty company out to fix everything they did wrong. DON'T EVER USE THIS COMPANY

However, once he received my $ that all changed. My unit was installed 4/25/16. The day of inhalation I was told that they didn't have a digital thermostat that was supposed to be installed and they would have to come back another day to finish the job. Today is 7/18/16 and I have since made contact with Jim 4 times regarding my thermostat. Last week he told me it would be done by this past Saturday so when this didn't happen I called yet again. Jim was immediately rude to me cutting me off when I was trying to speak, telling me they had 22 service calls this weekend and "was my air working", and that he didn't have to install the digital thermostat at all! I've been more than patient considering I've been waiting for almost 3 months and for a man to speak to a woman the way he spoke to me is appalling! I guess this is the "old school customer service" they talk about on their website! I would never recommend this company to anyone!
