The only, and I mean only area I would recommend improvement is their booking application. Even if you book online, you must call to change the appointment. Each franchise, I'm sure, has zero control over how the website works and integrates to them locally - so this is really scraping for a criticism. I gave them 5 starts for good reason - great value, outstanding service, and great results. I booked a carpet cleaning for 4 bedrooms on the app; which is very easy to use and understand the cost - I chose "deodorize" for the room where there is a pet and standard cleaning for all 4 rooms. A great value at a little over $50/room on average - and the appointment took about an hour or so. ($169/4 rooms plus $25 for 1 room plus 7% sales tax) Great results and the technician did a great job communicating during the walk-through and performed exceptionally well. I highly recommend Stanley Steemer and will be booking them again. Tips: 1) select a service day when you have some flexibility. You will be given a "day of" appointment and booked for morning or afternoon the day prior. The team will call you when they are heading to your location (10-15 minutes notice in my case). You will not want to be hosting an event or party that same evening - if cleaning to prepare for a function at your home, book at least 3 days beforehand. I would suggest the week prior. 2) clear the path to the rooms you plan to have serviced. The technician will need to connect to your water line. There was zero mess from the hose extending from my front door, down 30' of hallway to the bedrooms. 3) in the rooms, clear as much of the floor area as possible - it's alright to let furniture remain, but I do not recommend moving the furniture for the cleaning during the application and also would suggest you not put furniture back in place or move any furniture onto treated areas for 1-2 days after the appointment. 3) immediately upon completion, your carpeting will still be a bit damp - walking on it is fine, but I'd suggest removing shoes and socks and allow cleaned areas to air dry and if you selected the "deodorize" treatment, plan to let the room air dry for 1-2 days without any fans or other air movement. The rooms which were only cleaned dried quickly - within 5-6 hours 80% dry, and nearly 100% dry by the next morning. 4) if you have pets - secure them during the appointment. Your access to the home will need to remain open a bit to allow the equipment to continue from your water source to the locations being cleaned. We put our cat in her tent when we got the "I'll be there in 10 minutes" phone call.

Additionally, I was overcharged for cleaning the blower, which wasn't performed due to the heat exchanger issue. I'm still awaiting a refund and am uncertain about when the furnace repairs will be finished. This situation could have been managed more effectively, and I hope everything gets resolved soon. They were all happy with the quality of the work and the cost of services. Two nice young men arrived on time and got started right away. It took them about 2 hours to clean and sanitize 9 vents and 1 return. The Rotobrush machine they used is very powerful. Check out their website where there is a link to a YouTube video showing this machine at work. It basically is a super powerful vacuum with a rotating beater brush on the end to knock the dust and muck from the inside of your duct work. This machine is safe for all type of vents (sheet metal, wood, and flexible). Our duct work was only 16 years old, and they are in the ceiling, so not super dirty. I've seen some videos and photos of home with the ducts on the floor and those can collect a lot of debris; especially in homes with large dogs that shed a lot and kids. The nice thing about this company and machine is the unit comes inside the house. No huge vacuum tubes running all through the house where bugs can fly into your house and your pets can run out. Each vent is removed and wiped down. They use a camera scope to show you how dirty your duct work is before cleaning them out. They then show you a photo after it is cleaned. Saw a few spiders in the vents. Glad this machine took care of them. After vents cleaned they fog your system with a sanitizer and deodorizer. Run your system for about 30 minutes to allow it to circulate then change your air filter. I would definitely use them in the future for cleaning my vents. They also offer dryer vent cleaning.
