Went in and ordered their Biscuits and Gravy. Surprisingly was very good for the price. Service was fast and friendly. Quite a nice little place. Would recommend and definitely will be returning. read more

Love and miss this place usually go once or twice a week love the grilled cheese ff and sweet tea fell and broke my hip 2 months ago but almost back to normal can't wait to go have lunch again read more

Hamburgers and breakfast only cash only but the best hamburgers I've ever had. You can get them loaded or just what you want. I've been there twice so far it's a little hole in the wall that you never know was really there, but it is great for hamburgers. read more

I've tried to sample all of the local burger establishments since we moved here five years ago, but Eric's Grille had t worked into our schedule; until today. This area has many fine burger restaurants, but today's visit takes the prize. Freshest ingredients, fun diner ambience, and friendly people make this dining experience memorable. Can't wait to try their breakfast. I highly recommend Eric's Grille. read more

I was with a group of friends and we popped in here after a fishing trip. Eric and his staff are the friendliest team you will ever meet. We let them know it was our first visit and they welcomed us with a big smile and a delicious meal. We ordered double cheeseburgers thinking we would get a typical smashed patty. They were smashed but when you start with a freshly hand rolled, marinated burger ball the size of my fist, they don't get very thin. Needless to say my double cheeseburgers were ginormous but DELICIOUS!!! Thank you Eric and team! We will be back! read more

Eric's Grille - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Southport, North Carolina

Undoubtedly best hamburger in recent memory anywhere during my travels. Clearly this is a fresh Patty and absolutely not frozen. The double burger must be at least a half pound, fresh toppings including bun. Always. Seasoned just right not too much or too little. Pricing is more than fair. Cash only at this place. Will always return. Best burger within miles. read more

We have eaten at Eric's several times . They have the best Burgers ! Super friendly staff!

We came on Good Friday at 12pm for reference. We were in and out in 25 minutes. GREAT food, fast service, and super friendly staff. We both got cheese burgers, shared chili cheese fries, and 2 sweet teas. Our bill was about $23. WARNING: it is cash only but they do have an ATM inside. Luckily my husband had $25 in his pocket the burgers are thick, full of flavor, and juicy. My husband was definitely happy he didn't get a double. So glad we found this place! read more

First time here and let me tell you, I'll be back. Cheeseburger was one of the best I've ever had. Service was fast.

I've eaten here many times over the years. Family owned and operated, the attention shown to the customers is very impressive. Fairly typical short order grill atmosphere with great burgers and fries. Try it out! read more

Located in a strip mall at the same location as Walmart, you really have to look for this restaurant or you'll pass it by. Eric's only serves breakfast and lunch, as such it's menu is limited, nothing special but I'm sure it's based on what works for them. We tried Eric's for breakfast though we've heard their burgers are really good. The staff is friendly and the restaurant has a decor that shows the connection between them and their customers base with a majority of the people we noticed being regulars. We ordered one of the two egg breakfast options with fried bologna (I'm sorry, we have an affinity for fried bologna) the home fries were delicious especially with the chopped onions. There also seems to be an option to have your home fries covered with chili at no additional cost (don't quote me, but the server bringing our order did ask). BTW, you order and pay at the counter then seat yourself (just so you're not caught off guard) and the server brings your food to you. The plates, silverware, cups are all disposable and you throw them away on your way out. The prices are very reasonable and if you're in a hurry and want a quick satisfying meal you should give Eric's a try. read more

Ugh!!! This place was not for me at all. The best thing I can say about Eric's Grille is all the fun vintage decor which is displayed all over the restaurant. It's a collection that was obviously built over many years and travels. The ambiance leaves lots to be desired. One must stand on line and order and pay with cash, then find a booth to sit down in. When our food arrived, I have to say it was the greasiest, most unhealthy breakfast I've had to misfortune to have in a long time. No healthy options whatsoever and only the most mass market items available like white bread, American cheese and nasty bacon. i ate a few bites and turned the rest over to my partner who is clearly not as picky as I am. We tried this place about 6 months ago and never went back. I hope I never do. read more

Well worth a visit. Nothing fancy - it's a grill that does basic breakfast and lunch well. Order as you walk in give your name get a booth and your food will be ready in a couple minutes. Enjoy looking at the amazing collection of memorabilia lining the walls. A trip down memory lane for boomers and millennials. Fast, fresh and fun! read more

Super good! Enjoyed a big lunch of hamburgers and hot dogs today at Eric's Grille. It is a place you enter and you feel like you have visited all your life. The owner is not only very friendly but he is also a master at the grill. We enjoyed our experience and will be back! read more

Eric himself cooks up one of the best burgers around. If you've been to Melvin's Grill in Elizabethtown.. give this place a shot.. it may be the best I've ever had. read more

If you're looking for a quintessential little southern diner in a strip mall, this is your place. It's complete with old fashion owner/cook that will gladly tell you all about all the cars he's restored and the great car loves of his life. He is genuine and extremely kind and thoughtful to your dining experience. Food is average grill food. Breakfast and lunch sandwhiches, fries that sort of thing. Small menu but quick service. This is CASH ONLY which I find irritating in today's debit world but there is an ATM ($3 a pop) from which to get cash in the restaurant. Normally, that would turn me off but the folks are just darn welcoming and kind that I quickly overlooked it and went with flow. A BLT sandwich, cheeseburger, two fries and a iced tea cost $13.50. Kind of pricey for what we got. Not sure I'll drive out of my way for this but glad I experienced them at least once. read more

I don't know why it's taken me so long to write a review for Eric's Grille, because my family frequents here enough that they know our names and orders. They sell out of lunch fast. All I've gotten is hotdogs, and fries. Hotdogs are brown, and fries were normal crinkle fries. My other team members got a hamburger and they said one of the best burgers they've ever ate. read more

Ate here for lunch and had a cheeseburger and fries. Hubby had a double cheeseburger and fries. I am a sucker for crinkle fries, so these were a winner. They could have been fried for another minute and they would have been perfect. Burgers were good and for the price this beats eating at a fast food joint. You order at the counter and they call your name when your order is ready so your food is hot and cooked to order. Staff was friendly and greeted new customers and regulars with the same friendly banter. Give this place a try if you are in Southport! read more

We took a day trip to Southport and decided to stop in at Eric's Grill shortly after arriving off the ferry. Best cheeseburgers ever!!! You won't regret stopping in for a bite to eat. The owners are super sweet! I loved hearing the banter back and forth with some of the regulars that would come in to the restaurant and seeing just how much everyone loves the owners and the restaurant. Eric even took some time away from the grill to walk around and pass out matchbox cars to all the little kids in the restaurant. We ordered several different menu items. Every single thing was delicious right down to the very last crinkle cut French fry! The burger was cooked perfect and even more delicious with the homemade chili and slaw. My toddler's grilled cheese sandwich was SO GOOD that my husband and I devoured that even after finishing our burgers and fries. I hear breakfast is just as delicious and will make sure that I get over early one morning to give it a try. I'd move to Southport just to be able to eat at Eric's more often! read more

Eric's Grill Restaurant Style: American Home Last Visit: 01/08/18 Ambiance: Enter and stand in line to order. Grab your drink on the way in. This is the locals place, make no mistake about that. Cash only, but there is an ATM. The food may be a comfort, but the place is a museum. My good friend was a gear head and loved it. License plates from NC and elsewhere plaster the walls. How many model car kits can you have? All of them? Certainly a lot. I bet Eric's has close to all. Service: Since you order and pick up your order yourself at the counter, this is not the place to go for days you hanker pampering. If you hanker for a great burger, hot pancakes and down home sausage, belly up to the counter. Even dining in you'll get food wrapped in paper, but I came for the flavors and not the cutlery. They were calling my name for pickup within five minutes of my order. Lots of outdoor workers in the line which I always think means they get reasonable prices on favorite foods. My order was $18 and change and for my 20-dollar bill I got two crisp ones back. Grill crew or register clerk, people worked with cordial albeit noisy efficiency. Food: The breakfast pancakes and sausage and sandwiches draw raves, particularly for folks in a hurry to work. My double hamburger all-the-way stoked the taste buds and gave me much more than I bargained for. One patty is plenty but add chili, cheese, slaw and mustard and you might spend your whole lunch hour chewing. Didn't notice those old lunchtime favorites chicken or tuna salad on the menu, but the single and double burgers and bacon burgers make up fine for that in my book. There was a sausage dog (looked yummy) and a kind of fried chicken sandwich. Don't come for variety but do come for what they have. For Kids: Nothing dedicated to kids that I noticed, but what kid could resist burgers, fries and hot dogs? And the folks here don't mind lavishing your order with the odd request for extra chili or cheese on the side. Difference Dividend: Try the chili cheese fries. They are a meal in themselves with thick chunks of meat, the best I've had since I last visited San Francisco. Hours: Monday-Friday 5 AM - 2 PM, Saturday 5 AM - 2:30 PM. Expense Account: Very modest. Figure about $7 each without the double burgers or Chili cheese fries. Adult Beverages: none read more
