If you're looking for an educated, kind, honest, and personable surgeon look no further! I have had trouble breathing for years due to a blow to the side of my face when I was younger. It also significantly altered my appearance - which I absolutely hated. I finally decided to schedule a consultation with an experienced surgeon who didn't offer a cookie cutter nose that I have seen all my life growing up in L.A. I scheduled consultations with a couple of surgeons - Dr. Yavrouian being the first. Dr. Eric Yavrouian is the Surgeon to go to. During my consultation, I immediately told the doctor, nose surgery is the one surgery I don't like and am not looking forward to even though I need one. Dr. Yavrouian was able to just take a minute and talk to me about the process and how everything will be okay. He explained step by step the process, outcomes, and recovery time. He did not brag about himself, which I liked, but informed me about his certifications from not only being a cosmetic surgeon but an MD to help with my breathing. He informed me on how he will not limit himself on just finishing the job in a time crunch but will take as much time in the surgery room to make sure the work is done right! He did tell me during the consultation what is truly possible and what is not, instead of just doing the work then being surprised (I will say I have seen other doctors before Dr. Yavrouian and that was not something that was talked about). The surgery itself was better than I expected! Swelling and bruising were not as bad, and the pain level was low to none. Even friends and family who saw me during the recovery were surprised! The outcome of my nose made me speechless! The work done was clean and looks like no work was done natural look! This outcome was the way my nose should have always looked. Every follow-up after was smooth. Taking the cast off, Dr. Yavrouian explained step by step, what to expect. If I seemed to be in any discomfort or pain while taking stitches out or the supports in my nostrils, he would stop and ask if everything is okay and how I am feeling. I never felt uncared for. Even with my second appointment, Dr. Yavrouian's nurse was supposed to assist me but he asked to reschedule to make sure he was in the office to check on my states and no one else. I just want to start off by saying that I normally never write reviews, but Dr. Yavrouian deserved a great one. First off, you will never find a more kind, caring and patient doctor like Dr. Yavrouian. He is one of the sweetest individuals I have the the pleasure of meeting and I mention this because it is very important to feel comfortable and relaxed by someone who will perform an operation on you. I had a rhinoplasty and septoplasty a little over 5 weeks ago and I am in love with the results. Dr. Yavrouian did an incredible job in removing by dorsal hump and by fixing my deviated septum and let me tell you my surgery was not an easy feat.First off, my septum wall was so thick that it is actually extremely rare for a female to have have such a thick septum. Second, I had missing cartilage in multiple parts of my nose which would cause so many issues for me, but Dr. Yavrouian fixed it for me by adding in the grafts and my nose is holding up perfectly now! I must also add that I specifically asked for my nose to be very natural and that is exactly what he gave me! I get so many compliments on my nose! I am beyond thrilled with my results and I'm only a little over 5 weeks out! Hats off to Dr. Yavrouian for fixing my breathing issue I've had since I was a kid. I needed septoplasty surgery to fix my deviated septum, and since I never had any kind of surgery I was kind of nervous. For as long as I can remember, I have always had a difficult time breathing and had no idea that the cause was a deviated septum. Dr. Yavrouian did a fantastic job; not only helping me to breathe again, but helped to slightly improve the look of my nose in the process. My experience under Eric's care was amazing. He was always a pleasure to deal with and always took the time to explain all my questions. The result was truly incredible! Since the age of two I have effectively had only one and a half nostrils as my septum was deviated during a automobile accident. I knew nothing else and it din't both me until I reached my late forties when breathing became more labored. On my first visit to Eric I found find out that my septum was deviated twice, at the bottom to the left, which I could see, and to the right at the top which of course I couldn't see. After the surgery recovery, which to my surprise was essentially painless, I came to realize not only is breathing incredibly easy, but I can actually smell things I have never smelt before, and I have two nostrils which look amazing! After breaking my nose multiple times I developed a severe deviated septum. Not only was it difficult to breathe, I also had issues sleeping at night. On top of that I was very self conscious about my nose it looked very damaged after the multiple incidents I had. I highly recommend Dr. Eric Yavrouian for any serious medical Ear, Nose, and Throat issue. I have had horrible swelling and infection on my neck beside my Adams apple. I have had this issue since I was about 14, I am 26 now. I got surgery in 2014 with a doctor at UCLA and the swelling still came back.
