It's easy to give a good review when you're told to do so "Ok give us 5 stars on yelp and Google and screen shot it" those are the words used when partaking in a trial. I'm sure you've seen the videos on instagram asking for people to be apart of these "studies" upon my arrival I waited 3 HOURS to be seen. Dr. Kay is talking to this young man like he's a complete idiot right in front of me. he's so scared to make the wrong move, which he did, over and over. Micro-needling with tox. Sounds cool? Fresh face. Never had anything done like this before. I was excited! 4 months later I'm noticing my right side of my face looks weird. My smile is off. I look like I'm gonna have a stroke or something. I reach out and apparently this is normal the nerves are reconnecting or something..all I know is don't worry about it. Ok. So when I come in for my final pictures waited another TWO HOURS. I'm looking at myself in the mirror and picking apart what my face needs. I kinda hate my droopy eyes and my jowls are looking a little jowly so I ask what can be done about this. I'm told I get 20 free units and if I'm interested in doing them today they can do it! I say ok and then I'm told they have some other stuff they can do to lift. ok sounds good! I never sign anything...no one explains what it is I'm getting nothing. Just prep the needles and get the camera girl in here asap to record this for social. I get numbed and dr. Kay comes in and begins shooting the tox into my forehead and around my eyes. An alarming pain in my right temple eye area, ouch! But I'm being filmed so I'm trying not to react. Then injections into my jaw and cheeks..i get done and I tell here that the right side really hurt a lot more than the left and I notice and immediate bruise on my right eye. Her response "oh was it a little spicy?!" And she was done! That was it. Prior to injection i told her I had been to the dentist for tooth extraction and she said how long has it been...3 weeks...you're fine. She just kept telling me you're here and you deserve this so I thought I do deserve this and if she says it's fine...it must be fine...she's the professional. I was not fine after and I regretted this decision immediately. My face hurt. Like a weird tingling hurt. A few days later my right side of my throat was killing me, l still have no idea why, and then a few days later my right eye was messed up. I couldn't see properly, it was blurry, I had a dark shadow. So I reached out and I went back in, I met with the nurse practitioner and she rubbed around my face and said did dr Kay know you had a tooth extraction, I said yes! She said just rest you've been through a lot. I think you'll be fine. If anything changes call. MIND YOU EVERY TIME I CALL NO ONE EVER CALLS BACK! so I resort to how I got into this mess, INSTAGRAM. I tell them I'm going to the emergency room because something is off. I get an MRI and then follow up with the eye doctor for the vision and basically im told a nerve must have been hit during injection and my eyes are very dry and he is confident that the sight will get better in due time. Ok good. Dr. Kay who was suppose to be on a call with me while I had that apt...didn't answer the phone after prior notice to the apt. She decides to call back 3 hours later and has this attitude towards me like I didn't do my due diligence in trying to figure out what the issue is and to have her involved. She basically wanted me to come back in which I understand but at the same time, it was a very crucial time in my week with my family and prior commitments to my children, so I couldn't just jet over to Pasadena, which I live nowhere near to possibly sit in her waiting room for 2 to 3 hours. I kept asking her what we could do. What was the game plan? I asked her about the symptoms I was experiencing she never said yes that's a side effect. Nothing she just wanted me to come in. But I'm afraid to let her do anything else to me. My vision got a little better so I just decided to let it go. I asked for my money back several times which was ignored. I did file a claim with my credit card company, luckily. And now months later I have developed these hard lumps in my jawline. I didn't know I was getting radiesse and the side effects or rare cases of what can happen. This isn't filler it can't be dissolved. So now I have these nodules all in my jawline and two of them are quite painful. They're directly over the injection sites as I took photos and have pictures of exactly where the injection sites. I reached out in regards to the nodules via telephone only to again nobody call me back so I reached out again via Instagram to then be sent a letter in the mail saying they can't help me and to seek advice somewhere else. So here I am. Too late for me...save yourself. It's not worth it. I'm in pain and still feel weird tingling and pressure. I never had any issues...not one problem prior. I wish I could go back in time. The whole experience was absolute shit. read more

I was a patient here between 2019 - 2024, repeatedly returning because I liked the results of my nose filler. However, the experience was consistently awful. I always waited between 1 to 3 hours to be seen. Dr. Kay never once acknowledged or apologized for the extreme delays, which shows a glaring lack of respect for her patients' time, even though her staff was always kind and apologetic. Eventually my nose began to look constantly red. I brought it up and asked if the filler needed to be dissolved. She dismissed my concerns, and prescribed antibiotics, which did absolutely nothing. I finally sought a second opinion from a new injector who confirmed my suspicions: I had a minor vascular occlusion. I am currently in the process of having the filler dissolved. (BOTCHED FILLER + EXTREME WAIT TIME) I went to Dr. K's Pasadena clinic twice for lip filler, and each visit was extremely disappointing. Both times I waited far beyond my scheduled appointment time, once for nearly three hours. I was left alone in a dark exam room with no updates or check-ins. (Even during the Botox visit, I still waited far longer than expected.) At every other aesthetic clinic I've been to, I've been seen promptly but here, I was simply left waiting with no communication. When Dr. K finally came in, it felt rushed and chaotic. She and another woman quickly asked what I was getting, apologized for being "super busy," applied numbing cream, and returned a short while later to inject me very quickly. The filler portion took less than 2 minutes, and afterward, I was sent straight out to pay. The entire experience lacked the care and professionalism I would expect from a medical office. Unfortunately, the results were also poor. The filler ended up placed on the inside of my lip, creating a visible shelf and thickness when flipped inward. It even caused a temporary speech impediment (a lisp). When I went elsewhere to have it dissolved, the provider who treated me was shocked at how much filler had been misplaced. That experience alone made me lose all trust in this clinic. For context, I paid between the standard price range at this clinic and all of that filler had to be dissolved. I've since gone to other professionals for aesthetic treatments and have never had a single issue or been made to wait excessively. Having worked in customer service myself, I can confidently say this kind of disregard for patients' time and comfort is unprofessional. Don't assume that just because someone is a "facial plastic surgeon" you'll automatically receive better results or treatment, that was not my experience here. In short: overpriced, poorly managed, and rushed care that left me with misplaced filler and zero trust in the practice. To add, when I first visited for Botox in my masseter due to TMJ, a nurse administered the injections. I had a few units left over, so she asked if I wanted them in my forehead, I said yes. Then, completely unprompted, she looked at me and said, "You'd be a perfect candidate for under-eye filler." I was 25 years old at the time and found that comment very off-putting. I never asked about under-eye filler and was perfectly fine with how my eyes looked. It felt more like an upsell than a genuine medical suggestion, and honestly, it made me uncomfortable. read more
