I had the best experience with Dr Burnstine! When I turned 40 my eye bags would not go away, and just got worse in the last 5 years. I was at the point I hated taking off my sunglasses. At my consultation Dr B eased my mind and listened to my concerns and explained to me how he could fix my eye bags. I trusted him immediately. The day of my procedure went smoothly and he walked me through everything. Recovery was easier than I expected and my results are even better than I imagined. I am so pleased with my results and having this done was life changing. I highly recommend Dr Burnstine. You won't regret it! read more

Dr. Burnstine is wonderful. He squeezed me into his schedule late on a Friday afternoon after the surgeon that performed my Mohs surgery near my eye said she really wished she had set up an appointment with a plastic surgeon to close the incision as she said this was more difficult than she anticipated. Dr. Burnstine did a fantastic job and even gave me his cell phone number in case I had problems over the weekend. The scar is now fading and people don't even notice it. I am very happy! read more

Simply the best......better than all the rest! As a nurse, I am extremely particular of the Dr's I choose for my healthcare. I had consultations with two other surgeons before I found Dr Burnstine. There was a vast difference in their approach to care. My consultation with Dr Burnstine was very comprehensive. He takes his time to explain procedures and answers all questions. After our consultation, I knew without a doubt that I found the right surgeon. Dr Burnstine's' surgical skills are excellent, and he exhibits a warm and compassionate approach with his patients. After going through several bouts of tear duct clogging, and consistent tearing, I was referred to Dr. Burnstine. He scheduled me for outpatient surgery, immediately, and his staff was delightful to work with in assisting with pre-op. I am genuinely amazed about the professionalism and aftercare.that I received. I had a few important events planned, as well as an upcoming trip and the office was amazingly helpful in helping me meet my schedule. All staff members are very informative and extremely friendly. I had an amazing experience here! Extremely professional, thorough consultation, and the results were exactly what I wanted (natural but my concern fixed). I checked out a few places online first, and I'm glad I chose and went here (for blepharoplasty). The surgery itself was painless, and the healing was very quick. I had no issues from start to finish and went into the procedure with full confidence in Dr. Burnstine, and I am a big worry wart. I would highly recommend this place to others and already have! More details: I am especially impressed with the consultation I had, Dr. Burnstine went into detail about blepharoplasty as well as other procedures he does with before/after to show where I fit into the mix and how the procedure would work for me. I especially appreciated this since I wanted to make sure the blepharoplasty was the procedure to give me the results I wanted. The cost itself was so worth it, for having full confidence in my doctor and itself the price was very fair. I had an easy recovery, and Dr. Burnstine made sure to go over the healing post-op instructions in detail, I had a quick recovery. Again, I can't emphasize enough how professional this place was. I was quite worried before going in because I wasn't sure what to expect, but I felt super comfortable the whole time. Dr. Burnstine himself is very genuine, easy, and obviously cares very much for his patients and the results he gives! read more

If I could give this Doctor a hundred stars, I would. This is the top level of care that you will find in Los Angeles. From the moment you enter the office you know that you are in great hands. I wanted to freshen up the appearance around my eyes (who wants to be asked repetitively if they're tired?!) and do it right so I consulted with not one, not two, but three Oculoplastic surgeons. First of all, if you want any kind of aesthetic eye surgery done, go to an Oculoplast. After they complete Medical School they undergo 2 additional years of training that focuses on surgery involving the eyebrows, forehead, eyelids, etc. In other words, they are specialists. Dr Burnstine was the third Oculoplast that I consulted and I was immediately impressed and knew that I would entrust my precious eyes to him. I was given the most comprehensive consultation I have ever had in my life, there was no question barred. He's a perfectionist (by his own admission), caring, warm as well as being a true artist in what he achieves. I booked my eye procedures on the spot. Nobody wants to look fake and pulled and ridiculous. Would you like to look just like you only better? How about looking refreshed and natural? Yes, you do. This is the result you will have with Dr. B. I am consistently told how relaxed and refreshed I look. People ask if I just got back from vacation, had a haircut, etc. They know something is different but can't tell what. My only regret is that I didn't find him sooner. He's magic. His aftercare is every bit as amazing as everything else. The entire staff is upbeat, positive, welcoming, caring and extremely professional. I can't recommend him enough!!!! read more

Excellent, caring professionals. I needed minor surgery and they were the best! Zero problems with the surgery, genuinely concerned about your aftercare, very polite and courteou, nice Pasadena art in waiting room. I even walked out with chocolate! I will be forever grateful that my dermatologist recommended Dr. Burnstine. I had a questionable bump on my lower lid that turned out to be malignant. Although Dr. Burnstine performed the biopsy, I decided to do my homework and I consulted with three other highly recommended oculoplastic surgeons. In each consultation, the surgeon asked me who performed the biopsy and once I told them of Dr. B, they each said that I couldn't possibly do better than to choose him to perform the surgery. One physician went so far as to say that if his wife or mother needed this kind of procedure, Dr. Burnstine is who he would recommend. But aside from his incredible talent and dedication, he is just a great guy! He is kind and caring and very low-key. Just all around inspired calm and confidence. He did an incredible job and I'm thrilled with he results. Thank you Dr. Burnstine, you and your wonderful staff really took care of me from the beginning. read more

I had skin cancer removed from my lower left eyelid. I was very scared of the entire process. Dr. Leavitt, my dermatologist recommended Dr. Burnstine to perform the cosmetic surgery following the Mohs procedure. From the initial consult to the surgery to the 2 follow ups thus far; the staff is wonderful. Dr. Burnstine is not only the BEST doctor ever, he has a personality and his compassion for his patients constantly shines through. The rest of the staff (Taleen, Karen, Angela and Donavan and Dr. Conger) are very personable, available and answered all my random questions. They all made me comfortable in a very fearful situation. I have been to both the Pasadena office and the Santa Clarita/Valencia office. I knew I was in the best hands for a procedure that was scary. 2 weeks after the surgery I know I picked the right team and they did a GREAT job. I am healing and feel my eye will return to normal in a few more weeks. read more

I contemplated having upper and lower blepharoplasty for many years, but never pulled the trigger as I was conflicted about choosing a doctor. I knew that I did not want a surgeon who was going to make me look unlike myself. It was important for me to choose a highly skilled Oculoplastic Surgeon. Upon meeting Dr. Burnstine he told me, "If you want something over-the-top, I can refer you to a colleague in Beverly Hills". I knew with that statement that I picked the right surgeon who would only refresh my eyes, not reshape my eyes. Later during the consultation, he pointed out that I also had a condition called ptosis (basically a drooping eyelid) in one eye. This was something I had noticed in photos throughout my life, but somehow had just accepted this slight difference. I also chose to correct this condition with the blepharoplasty. Dr. Burnstine has an incredibly caring bedside manner. He is a kind straightshooter and strives only for perfection for the best possible result. I highly recommend Dr. Burnstine and trust his surgical abilities. read more

I owe much gratitude to Dr. Burnstine for successfully correcting my "botched" eyelid surgery performed by another doctor. Seeing the great job Dr. B performed on my husband's eyelids I made an appointment for a consultation. After leaving the consultation I felt optimistic that there was hope for me and my eyelid condition. What I experienced with Dr. Burnstine is a very kind, skilled, personable and attentive surgeon. He has continued to monitor my eyelids since the surgery to ensure that they are healing properly. Throughout this entire process, I have felt very well cared for by Dr. Burnstine and about and no longer self conscious. Thus far, I look so much better which has given me a great deal more confidence and I am no longer wanting to avoid eye contact with family, friends and strangers. I love Dr. Burnstine! He is very accommodating, compassionate and has a great sense of humor! I saw Dr. Burnstine at the Pasadena and Los Angeles offices. The staff are very nice at both locations! I have had small monolid Asian eyes all my life. My optometrist suggested I get tested for ptosis, droopy eyelids that impede the line of sight. Dr. Burnstine performed upper blepharoplasty as an outpatient surgery. Everything was fine. I iced and did warm compresses....and I was stunned how much better I could see! I wish I got tested years ago! I am not a person that blogs, but I do want to let folks know that if you have droopy lids, get tested. It may be a medical condition covered by insurance! And if you need eyelid surgery, see Dr. Burnstine! He is a sweetheart! read more

Dr. Burnstine was recommended by my optometrist for a tumor developing in my tear duct. Yes, this doctor is incredibly knowledgeable, impressively well educated, kind and assuredly confident. But the real reason I'm writing this review is because this is a special man who practices medicine with a real passion for his patients. He connected the fears my wife and I faced with a quick diagnosis and best of all, aligned the necessary procedures to quickly remedy my situation. All along the way, he truly took an interest in me and understood how to navigate the surgery and recovery so that it worked with my professional career.
