First day in Paris fresh off an eight hour flight with nothing but airplane food in my belly, I needed some delicious French food! We dropped our luggage off at the condo and started walking. Eric Kayser was the quick service first place we stumbled upon. We walked in order and then went upstairs to sit down and eat. Now it is very possible that it was because this was my first taste of French bread or I was incredibly hungry or the food is truly delicious but I loved every bite. The only reason I am not giving this one a 5 star is because compared to other spots we ended up going to throughout our trip this spot did not have a big selection and it wasn't as clean. Now it was not dirty and the selection was not small but it wasn't at the level of some of the other similar types of restaurants. If you are looking for a quick bite this is a great option!

First day and meal in Paris and we found Eric Kayser Bakery nice and close to were we were staying. I wasn't crazy hungry but had to get a Paris classic. A fresh Baguette with Ham, Cheese, and Butter. You will notice this well be some I have a couple of during our trip. I don't know how they do it but something as simple as ham, cheese, butter, on a fresh baguette is just so much better in Paris then in the states and the prices are always great too. This one was probably 12 to 16 inches and at most was 8 or 9 euros and with the rate at 1:04 euro to 1 dollar you can't beat that. I will say their is a small upgrade if you eat in but also they sandwiches are very easy to eat on the move.

Came here early morning before visiting the louvre. We got the quiche and it was cold. They didn't even warm it up even thought we informed them it was dine in. The service, they pretended like they didn't speak any English but the person behind me spoke English and they spoke fine. The chocolate croissant was amazing!

We were fed This review is for the outdoor stand by the Louvre. We were looking for some quick food and this looked quick. There were lines, and it really wasn't so quick, but faster than a sitdown restaurant. This Eric Kayser spot also had some tables next to the stand. What I had was their chaud coppa mozzarella, a premade sandwich in a display case. It certainly wasn't great but with the soft bread was easy to eat and served the purpose of getting food into me. I need to stay fueled up to be a functioning tourist. We actually ordered quite a bit of stuff and it was a little confusing as they gave it to us at different times. Not understanding French can complicate things for me, certainly not the fault of the staff preparing the food. Generally speaking, this was what I expected, which was alright with me.

Best corner shop croissants in Paris. Hands down. Check them out for the warm buttery goodness that a croissant is supposed to be. Also the pain au chocolate was amazing with espresso. Sit a spell outside at the small tables and people watch. These breads and pastries are made for savoring immediately.

Popular franchise throughout Paris for pastries and baked goods. This location is centrally located near the Louvre. Outdoor sidewalk seating available. No seating on the ground floor. 2nd floor (1st floor European) has the indoor seating. But if you are eating/drinking at the establishment, one would have to bring a tray up to that floor. I wouldn't say it was a remarkable experience. Just an average one in this Parisian environment. I had the Basque lemon tart with espresso.

Located near the Louvre and two doors down from Starbucks.

Their pastries are as good as they look. Pain au chocolate is flakey and the chocolate is good quality. I loved their vienoisserie but this is a smaller location with less selection than the bigger locations. A few outdoor tables.

I have heard about this bakery and was pleasantly surprised when we stumbled across it while walking down the streets of Paris. The worker who helped us was nice and spoke English. We got a strawberry tart, chocolate croissant and an eclair. Each pastry we got was good, but I was a fan of the tart the most. The eclair had a coffee-like filling which I did not expect! If I ever go to Paris ever again, I would stop by and try the baguettes as most people I saw went straight for them as they walked in.

The breakfast options here were very good. It ranged from pastries to cold sandwiches to pre made sandwiches ready to heat back up. There were dessert options, for those who craves sweets in the morning, and drinks like any cafe. The environment was very relaxing and bright and the staff was helpful and nice. Really enjoyed my time here getting a quick breakfast before heading out.

Visited on a Thursday afternoon. There was a sign pointing upstairs that there was a tea room, so we assumed that meant we could sit and order upstairs. There was a smaller coffee/drinks counter but the worker there said we had to order downstairs? (Maybe it was closed at that time/that day and the upstairs was only being used as a seating area.) So we went back downstairs to order coffees and pastries. The cashier is at one counter and there are other pastries counters. After we paid, there was not much room to stand and wait for the pastries to be gathered and put on trays, coffees to be made, etc., and the line just waiting to recieve their order seemed to be crowding the entrance. We got a chocolate raspberry tart, pain au chocolat, tarte mont blanc, long coffee, cappucino, and hot chocolate. Everything was pretty good, but some of the pastries are definitely on the pricier side.

Good fast spot to grab lunch items after a morning in the Louvre and before a picnic in the Tuileries. Salads, sandwiches, chips and drinks. Fresh and healthy sandwiches and all kinds of takeout salads. Premade but made fresh throughout the day.

Eric Kayser is a chain- but quality stop if on route

Business is OPEN. Solid breakfast, snack, or sandwich Togo! 4 stars for Togo and 3 stars for stay (They charge about a euro an item to stay and enjoy. This is annoying.) They have a large selection of premise sandwiches and salads. A large selection of fresh breads and pastries. This one is located right outside the Louvre. I'd recommend taking some sandwiches Togo and sitting bringing to park outside the Louvre. I ordered a salmon and broccoli quiche which was fresh. They wanted it in a toaster oven - not a microwave! The tea pot came with a little teaspoon size muffin- cute touch. They gave me free water refill- which was nice. The baguette came with butter- one of my favorites! Coffee american was hot and large. Overall good experience.

Asked for an americano... got giant glass cups with coffee. Asked for small cups and they made it seem like a catastrophe!

Poor service. Noisy. Expensive. Tea made with luke warm water. Pastries of mediocre quality. I certainly don't recommend this place.

Another great boulangerie. This place is slightly larger than the one down the street with a…read moreslightly wider selection. It gets a cheaper rating but I thought the prices were very comparable to the other boulangeries in the neighborhood.Again they had great croissants (I tried them at every boulangerie we visited) and their large macaron "sandwiches" were also delicious (although not my MOST favorite of the ones we tried in Paris). This place was also just a few steps from our apartment so we visited it a lot as well. None of the women that served us during the week spoke English but again, you don't need much in a boulangerie. The service was always friendly and efficient. Often this place was busy but service was quick. No outdoor seating, and they were open until 8pm which was awesome. Later in the day you'll find that pastries and bread are not as fresh but even though we got macaron "sandwiches" at 7pm and they seemed a little damp from the fresh fruit in them, the taste was delicious. The outer shells of the macarons were slightly tough but the overall texture wasn't bad. the berries (we tried frambriose and fraise, or raspberry and strawberry) were incredibly fresh and tasty. I'm sure if we had purchased them earlier in the day they would have been even better. We also had the coffee eclairs and they were amazing!!! I don't care that much for eclairs as I do no like the type of bread used for them, but these were good enough that I'd get them again. The filling was rich and the coffee taste was outstanding.
