I love this place. I haven't seen any "dynamic" pricing, as someone mentioned. I'm not saying it's not true but I see the same prices for things on multiple visits. I do agree that all the "influencers" are always taking photos, and the staff are new, so sometimes they don't know everything, but honestly, I LOVE this place. Ditching Whole Foods, where it's impossible to get a parking spot. I love it this place. Did I say that? I can't say it enough. They make great prepared foods. We get salads and often get other things that just need reheating. The hot bar is always packed, but thanks to the app, we can pre-order and pick up. The tonics are great. It may be over priced for some, but you get what you pay for I suppose. read more

After giving this location several chances and time to get themselves dialed... I've officially given up on this location. HORRIBLE customer service. The employees genuinely seem to not know what is going on. The management that I encountered was rude and dismissive. I've been a loyal Erewhon customer and member for years. This is so disappointing. read more

First and foremost if you haven't been to an Erewhon then I highly recommend you do and in particular this new location in Thousand Oaks. Let's get this out of the way, "yes it's pricey" but before you decide to spend your dollars elsewhere go into the store and get a lay of the land so to speak; don't just randomly go to the hot food bar and load up a plate of food and then be shocked at the register!! Everything is priced per weight clearly in front of the food, the more you indulge the more you pay. Their food is defiantly good quality , hence the price; in my opinion if you want a good price option take a look at the, 'hot soup bar'- all organic ingredients, 4 different soup selections daily and priced right!! Small container is $9.50 and large is $15.75. The 'Tonicbar' is not expensive for what I drink- cappuccinos, actually they are cheaper than most competitors and their coffee is excellent . $5.75 for my cappuccino and most other place locally and mid $6!! I am a member so I actually get .57 cents back in reward $. As a member you also get a featured smoothie every month redeemable between the 1st and the 14th of the month! The Calabasas location is an absolute zoo, little to no seating outside and you get a view of the parking lot..... this location is amazing. If you are an Erewhon regular you already know the drill and you will LOVE this location; great vibe, really friendly and accommodating staff, excellent quality food, etc and a spectacular outside patio with a view of the pond, ducks and greenery. Superb spot for the young kids also as there is room for them to run while you sip on your coffee, etc. BTW- I think the lower lever membership of $100 is well worth it- 10% back on all, ' hot food , Tonicbar orders, soup and packaged pre made items'. " I am not sure why they have the no pets allowed sign in front of the store because none of the customers pay attention to it nor do the staff" . I am a Fan!! read more

I like this location out of all the locations I been to. It's immaculately more clean, spacious, and modern than the others. Not to mention they reheat the pizza with the oven and have so many more flavor selections of pizza than the other locations read more

My first time ever stepping into an Erewhon! Was driving through Thousand Oaks and was looking for something quick to eat. I heard so much about this place, so I decided to stop by. It is worth everything everyone says about this place. Overpriced? Yes. Trendy? Yes? Delicious? If you have an exquisite palette, yes. There's a reason upper class eats here, and it shows. Quality ingredients inside aesthetics make it easy to spend over $100 (which I did for my road trip home). I say this with love because I became a fan of the hot food. The staff is so wonderful for giving me suggestions. Here are the food I would recommend: Buffalo or tahini cauliflower Steak fajitas Cilantro rice Pizzas If you can afford it, it's actually restaurant style food - to go style. read more

This is a nice store. Clean. Well lit. The products are presented/shelved well. They offer a lot of variety. I've never seen so many different brands and types of bottled/boxed/canned waters. For pretty much every product, there are various choices. The Erewhon bottled/branded soups, sauces and other products look very good. To be honest, I went just to see this new store. Erewhon has crossed over from being a store to being a cultural "thing". There were people taking pictures of themselves just being in the store. There is also lots of Erewhon merchandise, reinforcing what I wrote above. Our friends love the prepared foods and the smoothies here. The hot bar is extensive and looks very appetizing. We didn't interact with any staff, though there were lots present. My biggest takeaway, personally, is that most of the prices are dynamic. I won't spend my money in a place with dynamic pricing. Airlines and hotels do it and it's extremely objectionable to me (and most people I believe). I won't buy groceries, wondering if I had shopped earlier in the day, or late in the afternoon, or on a Tuesday instead of Friday, would I have paid less? No thanks. read more

Wow! The most gorgeous location yet. Beautiful store always the best of the best to eat and drink. The people working here seem very happy to be here as well. This is my sweet safe spot! You gotta see it yourself to believe it! read more

What is Erewhon? It's Nowhere. At least, that's what it is backwards. And this grocery story slightly IS backwards, but it's not necessarily all bad. This Erewhon is located in Westlake Village on Thousand Oaks Blvd. and off of the Moorpark Rd. exit. It's at The Westlake Lakes, which is a much less busy outdoor shopping center that it used to be. There's a huge parking lot in the back near the Civic Arts Plaza, too. The neighboring shops are either empty or very quiet, but it's still actually a nice ambiance outside. Erewhon recently just opened and have been gaining more and more traction, though. As they expand throughout Los Angeles and surrounding areas, Erewhon has always been known as the ultra-high end bougie grocery story that's really an exclusive social club. They have a membership that you can join, although you don't have to, and they're now incredibly well known for their smoothies. Their smoothies USED to be $12, until Hailey Bieber made the Strawberry Glaze viral online. Today, their smoothies are about $21 each, and range from probiotic mixes, post-workout sips, green vitamin boosts, and even collaborations with brands and singers to make their own drinks. Most people, especially Gen Z out here, come to Erewhon for this. Another plus side, though, is that Erewhon has a huge variety of ready made dinner food, as well as packaged fresh food like sushi to slices of cake. You can line up at the ready made dinner food line and pick out what you want and they'll pack it on a plate for you or in a box. It's their best deal and there's always a line for it. Their soups are similar and you can fill up as much as you want for the same price. The prices for these items themselves aren't crazy, and are actually much more normal compared to what some people online have said. When it comes to specifically grocery shopping though, I would NOT recommend Erewhon. Their ready-made dishes might be great, but overall, the groceries can get expensive fast. Plus, other than the normal fruits and vegetables section that every grocery store has, Erewhon really highlights and focuses on vitamins, supplements, GLP1's, "all-natural" skinny teas, and more. Lastly, it's important to note that some of their own branded bottles and containers, like their glass orange juice, for example, contains lead. Yes, lead. Erewhon uses lead paint on their bottles and glass containers for their packaging, which is an issue when it comes to mixed exposure and the risk that it comes with. It's also over the legal limit - which is concerning. TL;DR: Erewhon is popular for their smoothies, and for good reason! They're expensive, but good and really tasty. Definitely not an everyday Starbucks or even weekly trip, though. Erewhon has good ready made food, but overpriced groceries with lead-painted bottles and glass containers. read more

My daughter and I have been four times in the first week since they've opened. The Security, the manager and all the tonic bar employees have been top-notch. The smoothies are unbelievably delicious and great, but are around $20. For anyone wondering if the hype is real, yes they are delicious. However, I've never once complained about the quality. Parking situation is interesting as there is plenty of free parking in front and the back parking lot. Service is really great. Only complaint is people not being able to understand and use the kiosk. Lots of busy bodies and looky loos, which can be annoying if you're trying to order in person. If you do get any food, definitely try to enjoy the outside ambience and the ducks outside! It's really enjoyable and great when it's not super hot outside. read more

This location of Erewhon is very neat, clean, efficient and offers friendly service. We ordered açaí mousse and a turmeric smoothie. Both were well-liked. It is expensive, as expected. The produce section is pristine, as are all the other aisles of the store. The tonic bar is bustling, everyone wants to get smoothies and other drinks. Worth checking out for sure. read more

I don't understand all of the negative reviews regarding the price of everything. If you live in the LA area, you know that you are going to pay a premium price for groceries. Furthermore, Erewhon has items that you will not find at Ralph's or Pavillion's. The quality of the food is exceptional. The store is laid out beautifully and the prepared foods are always fresh and delicious. That being said, my review is based on service. I've been to this location at least a dozen times since they opened a few weeks ago. And, each time, I have encountered the worst employees on the planet. The cashiers seem miserable. I've never been greeted with a smile or friendly conversation. Apparently, shoppers should feel lucky to frequent this grocery store, not the other way around. The hiring team managed to find the most aloof, unfriendly, and condescending employees to work at this store. Charge me $100 for four items...I understand. Treat customers like yesterday's garbage....unacceptable. read more

In my honest opinion Erewhon has the best hot bar around! The rice balls are so amazing, they should be called "amazeballs"! Yes this place is expensive, but if I feel like doing a little self care and indulge in picture pretty organic food then I will . I can't eat at this place often otherwise I'd go broke, but it's beautiful inside and so clean! Customer service was top notch. This is such a beautiful location for it, you can grab food and picnic on the lawn. read more

Service needs to be better at the food counter and understanding what customer needs.

Just another overpriced Erewhon. To be fair, the prepared food is pretty good and it's clean with a nice ambience. The service is usually pretty good as well. The downside is that it's very very very very overpriced. I don't like using repetition of words like this, but in this case, I think it's relevant. It's nice in terms of window shopping but most things in there I would never buy because they are not worth the price in my opinion. read more

This was my first time here. I went in for one particular item. After looking for a few minutes, I asked one of the employees. He didn't point to where it was, he walked me to where it was! I ended up buying a few other items. They were very busy, but the check out process went quick. The cashier was very friendly. A little bit pricey, but I'll definitely go back. read more

I decided to check out Erewhon to see what it had to offer. I'm giving them 4 stars because of the beautifully fresh produce, super friendly staff and the clean organized store. I'm not giving it 5 stars because some of the prices are outrageous. Most of the fresh produce is priced fairly, as are some of the staples such as pasta noodles and meat. Some of the prices though are just not justifiable such as smoothies for $20 and up, jarred soup for $20, and juice for $14. They don't have a good selection of veggie meats. The supplement and herb section and personal care section is very limited. I miss Lassens, which previously occupied this space. It had better pricing, had a larger organic produce section, more pantry staples, more personal care items, and a large supplement and herb section. I think going here for the fresh organic produce is worth it because it is so fresh. But be careful, although some of the produce is priced fairly, some of it isn't. read more

We came to get a Mad chip sundae. The employees seem to be socializing way too much with one another. It took us 20 min to get 1 sundae, and it wasn't very busy at all. We would like to see less coworker to coworker socializing and faster service please. read more

Outstanding Customer Service! I cannot say enough good things about the incredible customer service here! Management and staff truly go above and beyond for their customers. They actively listen, show real care, and take immediate action to make sure every single detail is handled seamlessly. It is so rare to find a team that genuinely prioritizes customer satisfaction and makes you feel completely valued every step of the way. They took care of everything for us quickly, professionally, and with absolute grace. Hands down some of the best customer service we've experienced--we will definitely be loyal customers moving forward MGR Chris was amazing! read more

Employees are actually nice and smiling, looks like Erewhon made some changes from the Calabasas employee debacle and it shows. That was a big reason I stopped going to Erewhon. Paying a premium just to have a cashier be rude was becoming a drag. Thank god they fixed it, all the employees are super kind and friendly at this location :) read more
