I secretly wanted to join the hunt myself, but unfortunately, there were no prizes for adults--except for some tasty samples, which my kids enjoyed just as much as the shark game. Cute collector-item mini totes are coming, and get ready for them for the Halloween! I was told that this will be a Halloween theme tote bags. We went there to check to see if any tote bags were there and found out that, in deed, they were coming but as usual, they wanted the date as surprise. The clerks & helpers were very friendly and helpful. The store was brightly lit. Customers were hurriedly buying their daily necessities. Merchandise items were stacked neatly. We were also looking for herbal mulberry tea but they weren't available in this store. We didn't come out empty, though. We bought a few lovely Trader Joe's big bags. This is a smaller TJs compared to my local TJs. It is also not as busy as my TJs. Parking is easy peasy. If this is your TJs consider yourself very lucky to call this home. Like all TJs the stuff is the same. I will say the selection here is better. If you follow IG accounts they offer tips on things you can buy. This store is off E. Avenida De Los Arboles & Moorpark Rd I came here yesterday afternoon, Upon entering I was greet. This store is very organized, Super Clean, Attention details. There's so many varieties of fresh fruits & vegetables, along side if healthy meals, they all kinds a varieties of food, health & beauty, Flowers, as well household things and for your pets. A bit of everything! I came in to buy some Snickerdoodle soft bake cookies, Carmel stroopwafels mini, savory thin mini crackers. Their price points are spot on! I consider their foods are of great quality & the freshness is a total plus! All the staff are Super Warm & Friendly! Always are ready to answer a question with a smile! Let's be honest: walking into Trader Joe's is like stepping into Narnia--if Narnia had a Hawaiian shirt dress code and a parking lot that doubles as the Thunderdome. One minute you're calmly browsing organic bananas, the next you're trapped in an existential crisis debating whether you need a third jar of "Everything but the Bagel" seasoning. (Spoiler: You do.) The staff is so friendly, it's almost suspicious. Is there a secret handshake I'm supposed to learn? How do they always know exactly where that random jar of kimchi you read about on TikTok is hiding? And don't even get me started on the Sample Station of Destiny, where you'll inevitably try something you never knew existed but now can't imagine living without. One free sample leads to a cart full of mochi, cauliflower everything, and at least one impulse buy you'll have to explain later. Of course, the real adventure begins when you attempt to exit. The checkout lines move smoothly, sure, but the parking lot is its own mini-triathlon: dodge a reversing Prius, outrun a loaded cart, and wave apologetically at the frustrated driver you accidentally cut off. But in the end, you escape triumphant, armed with delicious goodies and a renewed faith in humankind, courtesy of those chipper TJs employees. This location continues to be popular; expect large crowds on weekends and after 5 pm. They do a nice job making sure there are plenty of shopping carts and baskets available in the front. Customer service does not stand out in my opinion. It isn't horrible, but I have experienced better customer service at other TJ locations. This location is always clean and well stocked. Trekked from the valley for the Righteous chicken (hey valley getting better at least a Slice house opening up at the previously turd-smelling and now shut down baja fresh in Porter Ranch), got a grocery list from the wife and said let's try a TJ's around here, this was close just 2 miles up. It's easily my favorite; huge, wide aisles that spread out and very well stocked. Lots of registers open too, didn't wait a second on a very busy Sunday morning. (Like there's NOT a busy time.) If you've been to the narrow, cramped suicidal one in Granada Hills off Balboa down the 118 exit, this is like a palace compared to it. One star off for cashier ignoring me without greeting (standard for cute chicks I think they have an allergy against me, no clue as to why. A "hello how are you? Did you find everything you need?" would be nice, hell even a "Hi, fuck you" just acknowledge my existence beeeatch. I deserve that much. read more

Majority of workers are nice here but rude cashiers compared to other TJs I've been to. Today, I had a cashier who didn't greet me but would greet the customer next to me and asked if he tried the pumpkin bars sample. Not sure if it has anything to do with me being a POC, but she was okay being nice to white customers that were in line before and after me. I normally keeping convo to minimum but saying simple hello, how are you, and thank you would be nice. I also got tapped on the shoulder in the parking lot by a red SUV as it was backing out. The brunette woman driving the vehicle did not come out to see if I was okay and waited until I gathered myself and walked away. None of the bystanders who saw asked if I was okay.. it was quite embarrassing. I am extremely appalled by how rude the people are in this area! read more

Been coming here for years, the Staff is mostly always friendly and it's Kid friendly Trader Joe's. Don't think I've ever made a review before but today I Making a review specifically for Today 2/17/24, as store staff member Jesse helped us and he was so good w/ my little one. My little one found the shark and he gave stickers and lollipop. Nice seeing diversity in staffing! He also helped me load the pack of water bottles into my cart. Helpful, genuine and kind! Trader Joe's is my favorite of all of the specialty grocery markets out there. It's a chain grocer that stays true to its roots and keeps prices affordable for its customers. This Trader Joe's has a very shopable layout and has most everything that a regular big box grocer has. Each department within T.j's is very straightforward and it makes shopping easy. For example, if you are looking in their poultry section, you grab the specific type of poultry you are looking for and move on. They do not have 8 different brands of competing chicken breasts trying to get the consumer to purchase "their brand" like they do at a regular big box grocery store. At Trader Joe's, you just grab the chicken breast package you want based on the price you want to spend (based on weight of that particular package) and continue shopping. Trader Joe's also has an amazing selection of specialty cheeses imported from all over the world that will make your cheese tray for that party you are having that much more special. Their freezer department has a variety of frozen foods that make your side dishes a breeze as well as those convenient pre-made meals when you don't feel like cooking. (Great Asian and Indian frozen dinners that make a quick & easy meal). If you are looking for a great selection of wines, this Trader Joe's delivers. They have each category conveniently separated by style (Cabernet's, Merlot's, Pinot's, Chardonnay's, Riesling's, etc.) with the lower priced wines on the bottom shelf and the higher priced bottles at eye level. They even have wine tasting daily showcasing 3-4 styles of wine for that particular day. If you are not into wine, and beer is more your thing, they have great beers available from different parts of the world. The staff are always very helpful and will gladly assist you with any questions you may have. Cashiers will oftentimes ask what you are making based on the items that you are purchasing. Don't be surprised if they give you tips or ideas that they've tried at home with the same products you are buying. All in all Trader Joe's in 1000 Oaks is a great fit for the neighborhood and I don't mind spending my hard earned money there. read more

What sets this one apart? It's actually not THAT busy, and the shared parking lot has plenty of spaces, so you won't put your life at risk (all others are cray cray). Service is particularly a stand-out. There's always several people restocking the shelves, and thus, always available to help find something or answer questions. I'm definitely in that upper half percentile who ask (and am a little "pest"-cadarian), "Do you still carry..." or "Can you help me find...". Very satisfying, even for me. 1. Easy parking. 2. I just left this location after my weekly shopping drove over from other side of town (Newbury Park) easily spending 100.+ Recently bought your orange Trader Joe's cooler bag which seems to be gives me difficultly zipping. Plastic inside flipping out so has b come difficult closing and when cold making harder to do myself (circulation from auto immune) Was told to speak with Stuart the store manager. I politely asked if could exchange it for another, his response less than friendly and quick to say NO they all do that. Which I find interesting cuz my purple one does not do this. I found this quite disappointing to experience such service in all my years as customer at Trader Joe's. I do know that I won't be back to this store. I love to shop at this Trader Joe's to help reduce my food expenses. This location is very busy and the it can be hard to find a parking space. They do very well keeping the shopping carts out of the parking lot! The staff are very friendly and are always hard at work stocking the shelves. I am usually able to get raw chicken and beef; the chicken can be a little tougher sometimes, which you can tell if it is going to be because you will see white striations on the breasts. In this case boiling it for a long time for shredding helps. Sometimes the fresh vegetables are hit and miss. I am appreciative of the selection of gluten free items they sell. Check out is always very quick. I use their canvas bags for grocery bags for all stores I shop at, they are about $4 and are very strong, machine washable and have nice long handles to put over your shoulder! read more

This Trader Joe's gets very busy during lunch rush, with lots of folks coming here for their pre-made salads, sandwiches and sushi. This store is not large, but has a good selection of products and everything is clean and neatly organized. I was happy to find my Chicago mix popcorn and a bag of just cheddar popcorn. I also found some amazing rosemary and asiago dinner rolls for my company lunch tomorrow. My husband and I also adore their pretzel rolls - they're about the size of a small sandwich roll - long and narrow. They're $1 each and I can't wait to get home and make turkey sandwiches with them tonight! Last note, I was surprised at how inexpensive everything was. I'd been searching for dinner rolls at local Whole Foods stores and wasn't finding what I wanted. Every Traders is great, but this one is excellent! The checkers are so friendly and go out of their way to help you! For example, recently I was leaving and dropped my canvas bag. This caused a glass bottle to break and spill. The mess was contained in the bag but they insisted on helping me clean it up and even replaced the bottle at no charge, even though it was my own fault! They constantly go above and beyond for their customers like this. Great prices, yummy food and a clean store- and their parking lot isn't bad either! read more

I asked an employee about an item then he tells me he's on his break as he's standing in the produce section.. ok whatever, so he finds someone else to help me who had to go ask about the item, mind you they all seem annoyed then he tells me they don't have it. The Manager, Lori, is so extremely rude and disrespectful, I highly consider shopping at the Westlake or Newbury Park TJ over this one. I've never had an encounter where I have felt so disrespected. This manager had a condescending tone the entire time and rudely dismissed me after asking a question regarding hiring. I love the Trader Joe's franchise. I've been coming to this location for over 5 years (I can't recall when I first started coming here). This is my favorite location so far. I really like this franchise because of the interesting and tasty items that they have in this store, especially if it's their brand. The price is also very reasonable compared to other specialty and health food stores. Which means I end up buying more items than I should. My favorite part of the store is their "Sample Kiosk" where there cook something delicious by using the TJ brand items, coffee samples, and drink samples. 50% of the time, I end up buying of what they sample out. There's also recipe slips of the samples that they created so you can do it at home. They also have a nice selection of wines and beer. Wine Tasting is available every day at certain times. I have bought serveral wines here because of the great prices. I like that they stock a variety of wines from small to big companies. CUSTOMER SERVICE I come to this location because of the friendly staff. I have never had any issues at this location and if I have concerns or problems, they are always taken care of. They treat all their customers with kindness and sincerity. They are also quite knowledgeable if I'm looking for something that I can't locate or give me helpful suggestions. There are always constantly cleaning and organizing. From re-stocking items to getting carts from the parking lot so it's not cluttered and the cart area is always full. Great layout. Very helpful staff. Walk in to see tons of fresh flowers. Great place to pick up a bouquet. Love all the frozen and premade meal options. So many good ones like turkey meatloaf in fridge , Kung pao chicken in frozen, Indian curry in a box. In the back corner there's samples of stuff. We had a juice and tried the Kung pao chicken. The parking can be tricky but I always find a spot. I like the variety of the store as well as the friendliness of the employees. The store is usually pretty busy so it is a good idea if you can to go early. The store is always very clean and well stocked. I recently changed my review from 4 stars to 5 based on yesterday's interaction with a cahier named Sam. She was so friendly and helpful, I just had to change the rating to a 5. This store rocks! I have been coming here for many years and most of the crew know me by name, they are always friendly and are very, very helpful. Crew members are always suggesting things to try and of course, I buy more than what was on my list. With Covid-19, it's has been a good excuse for me to get out of the house and socialize at my favorite store (wearing a mask of course).
