    Exotic meats
    Sheryl L.

This update is only for the last three pictures of boxes of appetizers. Mom bought these and served them to us. She also bought 4 other boxes which we haven't tried yet. The empanadas are terrible and they never get rid of them since they were terrible 2 years ago. The ravioli says four cheese but I only taste ricotta with no flavor at all. The baked Brie and apple chutney shows a picture of the apple chutney in a bowl on the side. Mom looked and re looked for the apples separately and they were not in the package. After tasting one it tasted like nothing in the middle. You need a magnifying glass to actually see any filing at all. Waste of money and time on all three. Stick to the fish and meat in my opinion.

Always looks great, clean, good products, the pricing is NUTS as all markets are here in California area. Every time he gives me unwanted attention and continues to talk to me when I make it obvious I don't want to talk to him. This needs to stop happening. He doesn't do this with other customers checking out same time as me; it's very clearly singled out toward me, and it makes me extremely uncomfortable. I often avoid the store if I have to shop late at night because of him. It's very obvious that he makes me uncomfortable. This is your warning review Ralphs. Never had this happen at another grocery store like this. I almost had a panic attack recently because of it. This has never happened at this store with others or during the day. *update* a woman who works at the store, keeps harassing me on here telling me I have the wrong location. i do not. I was not sure 100% of the manager's name so that may have been incorrect. That's why I said maybe it's *brian*, it now been taken off my review, but just because she's harassing me I'll go ahead and say it's the bald guy. The funny thing is the woman probably knows who I'm talking about and she's trying to bully me to take off the review..

He brought home a wrapped piece of cornbread, a pound container of vegetable chili, and a tiny lemon bar slice. For $15. What?! He reported that service was good. And the presentation for the little lemon bar in a fancy bakery box was lovely. My sticker shock had me questioning take out as a concept. Their soups are priced at $7.99 a pound, which seems on the high side. The soup was tasty, if a bit spicier than I expected. I did enjoy the beans included with the vegetables for added body and flavor. For me, the cornbread was too dry and flaky to be fully enjoyable. That was the least favorite of the items for my eating experience. Crumbs were flying everywhere as I tried to eat it. The lemon bar was overly petite for $5, in my humble opinion. It was very tasty, and not too sweet. The texture was on the dense side. My preference is a little lighter & fluffier. Overall, I appreciated that DH was searching for softer items I could eat while going through my dental issues. The cost seemed high for a meal that I mostly enjoyed, but didn't send my tastebuds to a heavenly place.

They ask if I found everything I need, if I say "no"... they will investigate. There's no such thing as a "long line" here because the moment there are two or rarely three persons in a row, another cashier opens a checkout desk. The food is fresh and there is constant turnover. I love the floral area. (Have no idea why someone would order their wedding flowers from here and then get mad at them...I saw a review about that, that was undeserved). Carts are clean. Exploring their aisles is an adventure in food. Soooo many coffee styles ground and whole beans. That's a fun place to explore besides the chocolate area. I'm looking to try their dark chocolates for the antioxidants...and that is fun. Looking for fair trade and single source and you can find it while looking. The cheese area is nice! All in one place... another place to explore besides the wine area which is prolific for styles, price and locations. I love the "pumpkin & holiday" food seasons. Right now it's exploding with so many pumpkin flavored items. It's a fun time of year in the store. Okay now the parking...maybe crowded with impatient people... but if you're healthy ...park farther and burn off a calorie or two. Then you can get one of their yummy desserts! The employees are SUPER nice and even the shoppers. I've talked about foods and recipes with the people who shop there. And if you can't find a certain item they drop will personally walk you over to that items location. I just nominated/voted this Trader Joe's as my fav business with my local Nextdoor.com poll ... and more than happy to do that. Their customer service is top notch just as many of the Trader Joe's are. And I've been to a few in my area and I don't find this store any smaller than any other, so not sure why people are making mention of that, I find it to not be true. Okay, that's all folks! 5-stars in my books.
