Still waiting for the Manhattan Beach location to open, we were in the area and stopped in to pick up some more items to try, staff was very friendly and attentive, cases were well stocked and the prices are very reasonable for most items, some are a little higher than other sources but the convince of everything in one location can make up for a little bit higher price on a few items. Picked up some iberico pork, lava cakes and spices today. Great selection of items it will take some time to try most of them. read more

Luv this place! The frozen is better than fresh concept is brilliant when you get the flash process. While you can get exotic hard to find ite.s here you can also find competitive prices. For example on the same day I bought 1 pound of fresh organic grass fed ground beef at Vons for $8.99. At Wild Fork I got the same item only frozen for $5.99. Wow right !! Bye Vons. At first I thought this was a bistro as everything that has been at this location was a resturant. Was I wrong I ended up walking into an amazing meat market. Yes everything is flash frozen. I ended up purchasing several items to give them a try and the meat was juicy and tender. I will definetly be going back here whenever I need protien. read more

Over the last year I had gotten tired of the lack of variety when it comes to buying fish for dinner. I don't care for salmon, and I don 't want to eat cod every week. So I discovered this place online, and I've been there twice in the last week. And I live about a half hour away. My first trip I snagged some monkfish. Hadn't seen it for years. Same with my second trip--perch. Also got some round steak to make pepper steak. They have cuts that aren't available at the big chain grocers. I agree with the other glowing reviews highlighting the ease of navigating around the store and the fair pricing. But my favorite aspect of this store is their variety. read more

I love this store. Their main products are all frozen foods of every kind you can imagine; steaks, seafood, meal selections like spaghetti, organic ground beef, empanadas, ice cream, and lots more. I had serious reservations about eating frozen food. I've always liked fresh. But, Wild Fork has gotten my attention and given me a lesson. I can't believe a frozen steak could be so gooood. I can't believe a frozen lasagna could be great. They make it easy to turn frozen food into a meal in minutes - and its seriously tasty. You would never know it was frozen. I am hooked. Lots of great meat selection. I'd never purchased flash frozen before so I bought an inexpensive $8 rib eye and a $22 grass fed rib eye for a taste test. The cheap one was was good especially for mid week meal, but the grass fed was great. Not as chewy. I just found my new favorite meat store in TO. I've never tried their seafood as I have not had a good experience with in the past at other stores but I will give it a try next time. read more

Wild Fork has a specific niche and delivers strong. Why bother competing with the multitude of other markets in the area that offer fresh ingredients, packaged foods, and generic commodities? Wild Fork deftly dodges this kind of stressful competition that has decidedly led to the downfall of multiple meat dealers, specifically in the Promenade plaza. Ralphs, Vons, Pavilions, Aldi, Sprouts, Whole Foods, Smart and Final, and Costco all offer superior prices on the same basic cuts of meats and seafoods. The issue with having fresh exotic or high end products is that they often go bad before people buy them, thus leading to expensive losses for the business. Solution? Freeze everything. This way, the meat stays fresh in the store for up to a year instead of a week. It might be even fresher than any "never frozen" meat you get because those have already been deteriorating in quality while in transit, while Wild Fork's meat could be frozen immediately after butchering. I wholeheartedly appreciate and support Wild Fork's effort to decrease food waste (think of all the fresh meats that get tossed if they don't get bought) while increasing the depth and breadth of the variety to the meat market in the area. Where else am I going to get alligator, whole lamb leg, king salmon, whole mini pig, and picanha? (This is just a list of items that stand out from my memory). Sure, you might be able to get super fresh fish at the buck crack of dawn at a smelly fish market in Ventura, but are they going to have the same high quality fish available year round? Who's going to wrestle alligators in California to get it to you fresh? What market cheaply sells picanha, the national meat cut of Brazil, aside from specialty markets that charge an arm and a leg? I was conducting my annual search for the elusive Christmas goose. Sadly my old haunt (Alpine Market) has closed so I began my wild goose chase! Fortunately I discovered Wild Fork and my prayers were answered. I was warmly welcomed and given a brief tour of the shop. I love this place! Everything I have bought and prepared has been excellent. My first trip out there was $128 which would've easily exceeded $300 at any other store including Costco. I placed an online order like I have at least 30 times before in the past. This is probably delivered from this store since it is the closest to my residence. My order was canceled without any communication. I only became aware when I used "track my shipment" via the email confirmation of my order. I was on hold with their customer care service for 58 minutes only advancing from caller 4 to caller 3. I called the local store and I was referred back to the line on which I was previously on hold. What ever happened to going that one degree to keep a customer? This is disappointing. I had to revise my plans for my dinner guests. read more

Great store, it's very clean, well stocked and organized. I've bought several items there and have been very pleased with all of them. They also have a lot of "exotic" things, well, exotic meaning you can't find them most places, things like ground venison. I've also had their beef stew and beef stroganoff. These are frozen but taste so fresh when warmed. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They also have some gorgeous looking higher end cuts of steaks, even tomahawk steak, which I mean to try soon. The parking is also very good, lots of room. When it first started doing pre-opening promotions I wasn't sure if it was a restaurant, a butcher shop, or both. Well, it's neither. But it is one outstanding source of protein (meat). Turns out everything is frozen, but they use a unique fast freezing process that makes it as good, if not better than fresh. Combine that with really high quality, outstanding sales associates that actually know their products, competitive pricing, and a selection second to none (lots of cuts etc. that you've heard of but could never find locally) it's my "go to" source for all meats, poultry, and fish. I love this place, they have reasonably priced meat compared to other markets, the staff is always wonderful, and honestly, it is just worth it to come down. here to get their meat. Their steaks are very tender, and so are their pork. The downside is that some of their products like lamb chops in the red bag, they need to tell you how many peices are in a bag. 7 peices are not enough for a family of 4 that is a joke. Also their chicken thighs in the bag also the same thing, and wings, Please tell us aproximatly how many are in the bag please. read more

Skeptical at first...now a repeat, repeat, repeat customer. First...the selection of rare cuts and the choice of choice, prime, angus, and Wagyu is amazing. If you haven't tried the pork coppa you haven't had pork. Unique things like garlic and basil dorot are super cool. Pick up some onion rings to air fry...delicious. 8 pack brioche buns for 4$!?!?! This store is somewhat of a new concept market where everything is frozen. I had low expectations and was happily surprised!! I purchased both the Au Gratin potatoes and the Broccoli Cauliflower Au Gratin and i thought that they were both absolutely delicious!! This place is great! Everything is frozen, but the protein selection is spectacular. They have an enormous variety of steaks, including genuine A5 Wagyu. Whole pheasant and duck. Venison racks. Berkshire pork. Sweetbreads. Oak smoked salmon. A whole chest of different shrimp and mollusks. Two cases of different sausages. They also have pre-seasoned meats, prepared meals and sides, and desserts. I can't think of anywhere else that has that kind of selection. Everything so far has been very high quality. It's not cheap stuff, so I wouldn't call it inexpensive, but I will say that the prices are much more reasonable than you would expect for these products. I will definitely be back. read more
