The Hailey Bieber is everything it's said to be and worth a try. Note if you're paying my credit card, it defaults to 20% gratuity so just a fyi lol

I had to visit this place due to the hype of its smoothies and high priced groceries. I walked around a bit and I did see some products that you would find in Whole Foods and Sprouts. Other items such as fresh produce were priced at $20 for a box of strawberries! The place was very clean and organized. Loved the aesthetic of the store, especially since the produce were perfectly displayed and not just tossed in a bin. Bathrooms were clean and better than many grocery stores. I ordered the Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie. I liked the strawberry puree as it added that freshness element to drink. Not sure if I would drink this daily, definitely a treat once in awhile. I received the drink in an appropriate amount of time. Cashier was helpful with questions.

First time at this Erewhon location on Culver Blvd. Location has plenty of parking available for use in the structure close by. This store is fully replenished and lots of food items, products and merchandise available for consumers. Erewhon also has a variety of fresh flowers in bouquets for purchase on display as soon as you walk in the store. A few of the employees greeted us as we walked in. We are only here to look for a specific item. Found it here. Thank you to my awesome brother and sister in law for hunting down the green baseball cap and gifting it to me. This store location has plenty of freshly cooked meals and food items at the buffet along with a variety of fruits and vegetables. We enjoyed our visit at this Erewhon location on Culver Blvd. Another location added to our go to list since we also found items not available at the location near our home.

I took a one day trip down to SoCal and had to finally try out Erewhon. Do they have overpriced strawberries that you can find at Whole Foods and Japanese and Asian markets? Yes. Do they have the bags of ice shaped like balls? Yes. Do they have $20 smoothies? Yes. Do they have lots of people shopping there. Yes. Everything I saw on tv and social media was all true. If you don't live in the LA area, I highly suggest checking it out. Maybe you'll like it, maybe you won't. Did I buy myself a Hailey Bieber glazed strawberry smoothie for $21? Yes. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Was it the best strawberry smoothie I ever had? No. I would say, it is worth $11 at most and there are plenty of stores all around that make something similar for much cheaper. I would come back again to try the more inexpensive smoothies and drinks and maybe the hot foods but those were $25 and up for chicken and beef. As I was walking around the market, there are some inexpensive items there that you can find at your local Safeway/Vons/Lucky's/Albertson's/Stater Bros, etc. Just scan the item with your Google Lens and you'll see plenty of places offering the same items for as much as $5 to $10 cheaper. Oh, you also have to pay for parking at the garages nearby. There's probably a validation machine somewhere but I didn't see one anywhere. It's cool to walk around and see what the market has to offer and if you're not cool with the prices, there's Trader Joe's across the street haha. I went to Erewhon so that you don't have to lol.

Pricey but quite tasty. Service is always nice and quick, and the inside is always clean. My friends always recommend their soups and chicken salad but I have yet to try! I tried their Coconut Cloud smoothie $19 and it was delicious with clean ingredients, but the price is quite high. Included: Malk Organic Almond Milk, Organic Pineapple, Organic Banana, Organic Avocado, Organic Almond Butter, Grass-fed Vanilla Collagen, Blue Spirulina, Organic Coconut Cream, ALLERGENS: Almonds Stevia Coconut

My friend moved to LA less than two months ago, and everyone she knows has been nagging her to try the "Hailey Bieber Smoothie" (aka Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie) from Erewhon for TWENTY ONE DOLLARS. Gosh, even when I told friends I was visiting LA, they were telling me to drop $20+ on one of their iconic smoothies. This past Saturday afternoon, while we were exploring Culver City, my friend insisted on going to Erewhon for the true "LA experience." This Erewhon is smaller than the other ones I've been to, and I'd describe it as "Whole Foods, but 5x more pricy." Ordering the smoothie was easy since it was through a kiosk, but while we were waiting, there was a whole supply chain of 12 plastic cups waiting to be filled. The server squeezed identical syrups and purees into each one; it appears that the "Gabriela Katseye Smoothie" is the current hype. While my friend got the "Hailey Bieber Smoothie," totally behind on what's "in", everyone and their mothers were already boarding onto the latest trend. Feeling a bit defeated, my friend picked up her no longer trendy smoothie when it was ready. She debated also purchasing the Gabriela smoothie, but as a good friend, I stopped her before she made a rash decision. There's no reason for anyone to spend $40+ on smoothies in one sitting. I had multiple sips of the smoothie, which was really creamy and smooth -- much more than any other store-bought smoothie. I'm not going to lie, it was incredibly good. It was sweet, refreshing, and I'm honestly a sucker for strawberries and coconut-based drinks. Still, I don't think the price is justifiable, but what do I know? Every ingredient is organic and not sure where else I'm going to find something like "sea moss gel" in my smoothies again. My friend loved the smoothie and was smiling the whole time, definitely very proud of her purchase. I know for certain she'd be back to try every smoothie available while she's living in LA.

Erewhon review THE FOOD: Smoothie: was good, don't get me wrong. Super fresh, clean ingredients, tasted like a decadent dessert...but $24?? I couldn't fully enjoy it because I kept thinking about not only the price but also the calories...with every sip. Buffalo cauliflower: easily the standout. Perfectly crispy, flavorful, actually satisfying. This is the one thing I'd genuinely go back for. Carne asada: really, really good. Well-seasoned, tender, and felt like one of the more "worth it" items on the menu. Tuna sushi on crispy rice : not bad, just nothing special. For Erewhon prices, I expected it to wow me, but it didn't. OVERALL: Erewhon is more about the experience than the food. It's aesthetic, it's trendy, and yes, everything feels "clean," but you're definitely paying a premium for the brand. Glad I tried it, but it's not becoming a regular spot for me.

I come to this specific Erewhon on a consistent basis mainly because of the hot bar. In my opinion, their hot bar beats out most restaurants in the same price category in terms of taste as well as ingredients. Their food is made extremely well and Id recommend any one to try it. Everything is a la carte and there is also a combo box you can choose from. On the occasion, I shop for interesting local products at the store. The Erewhon branded drinks are also very good with low sugar. At the end of the day I am a big fan of their products as well as hot foods and hot drinks. I would recommend anyone to try it. People may be shocked at the price tag but in reality their prices are on par of not better than most other places when you consider the quality and ingredients with everything they use. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. There is Erewhon specific parking on the basement second level in the garage.

Erewhon has become my favorite. I find myself here every weekend lol Huge shoutout to Victor assistant store director who was so kind and patient and gave my husband a great first time experience here this past weekend. My favorites are the smoothies/drinks, the hot plate bar and the sushi. Expensive yes but everything is GREAT QUALITY. I personally haven't gotten groceries on from here but I do utilize the above mentioned. I've tried many smoothie/drinks but this new jhene aiko west side whimsey is TOP TIER!

I had to try it for the bit but the coconut was not in the room with us. It tasted purely of pineapple and I do not like pineapple juice. I feel like I got baited.

    Katrina M.

I gave in to my curiosity and was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable the food and overall experience was. Getting the elephant out of the room.... yes, this is essentially an overpriced grocery store with an expensive smoothie bar. While I still can't rectify the smoothie prices in my head, the overall pricing at the hot bar felt fair for the variety of food and quality of ingredients. This location in Culver City is great. It rained the entire time I was visiting LA, but we parked in the underground parking garage and took the elevator directly into the store and avoided getting wet completely (can't say the same for the rest of the trip). Store is very clean and well stocked with a lot of delicious food and unique grocery products. Service is excellent too. An employee noticed we wanted to order something that was temporarily out of stock, and kept an eye on us the whole time until she was able to restock it. We visited a couple of times over a few days and shared a variety of food and smoothies: - Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie (3.5/5): A bit overly sweet and didn't taste very unique, but is expensive from some of the ingredients like sea moss. Still enjoyable to drink, but definitely not an exclusive flavor experience. - Boka Mint Condition Smile Smoothie (3/5): Another end-stage capitalism collab. The mint flavor was nice but tasted more like peppermint. Texture is a little icy too. Would have liked it to be slightly creamier. - Malibu Mango Smoothie (5/5): Loved this one! Definitely a must-try if you're a fan of mango or tropical flavors. - Steak and Egg Burrito (5/5): Also a favorite. Really well made breakfast burrito with steak, egg, cheese, bell peppers, and hash browns. Would get this again. - Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice (5/5): Another favorite. Would have thought this was from a sushi restaurant if I didn't know any better. Would definitely get this again too. While I definitely don't think that the products here don't need to be this expensive, I do agree that the hype is real for a reason. - Ambiance: 5/5 - Food: 4/5 - Service: 5/5

TLDR: Expensive but worth the hype and tasty! Erewhon is a great spot to check out if you want high end groceries - they have all the clean, gourmet brands across all types of groceries. this was my first time trying the highly talked about hot bar. Here's what i got: (i am vegetarian) - Tofu Stick: solid, very flavorful - not super crispy but the tofu is nice and firm - Avocado Cucumber Salad: also delicious, the smashed cucumber and avocado work so well together - super fresh - Miracle garlic noodles: star of the show - amazing flavor but this doesn't fill you up since it's made from a low calorie alternative (not your typical wheat) I spent ~$30 for all of this so definitely on the pricey side but very tasty food! Curious to see if they will add more vegetarian options (perhaps more Indian inspired flavors?)

I placed copies of my books there, including a recent title that had been in the store for less than six months. When I followed up, I was told there had been no recorded sales and that books are subject to removal after a period of time without activity. When I returned to the store, I noticed that much of the "local author" section appeared sparsely stocked, which raised concerns for me about how long books are kept on display and how actively they are supported. To be fair, the store did communicate that: Authors are responsible for following up on sales Shelf space is limited Books may be removed after a certain period However, I think it's important for other local authors to understand that: Placement does not guarantee visibility or promotion You may need to actively check in and market your book yourself Unsold books may be pulled without much notice If you're considering consignment, I recommend having a clear plan to promote your work and staying in regular contact with the store. Vanilla lattes are my go-to coffee order so I've tried a lot of these. I can say did not like this "roller coaster ride" at 7:30 in the morning. I would've gone up to the counter to nicely ask for something else, but had an appointment I already left for. I ended up throwing half of it away! So sad. The macadamia nut banana bread was hefty in portion (appreciated) and moist. It was nice. This space is a nice, sunny vibe to work, read, pass some time. People come and go so there was plenty of available tables or bench seats. Service was stellar. Everyone was professional and pleasant. There was one person making the drinks, but he moved with purpose and pumped drinks out much faster than any Starbucks (for reference). I wouldn't stop here again. During my recent visit to the bakery, I ordered three empanadas and a Beef Milanesa sandwich. It had been a few years since I'd had a Milanesa, and this version was quite solid -- it's essentially what would happen if a chicken fried steak and a chicken cutlet had a baby. The Beef Milanesa ($19.25), it features a breaded, very thin eye of the round beef. Since this is a bakery, the French Baguette is front and center, offering a great bite. It's pretty simple with the tomato, lettuce and mustard. While I would definitely eat it again, it isn't necessarily a destination sandwich I'd drive across town for, but it's a very satisfying choice. For the side, I went with the staff member's recommendation of French Fries over the salad. It was the right move; the shoestring fries were perfectly seasoned, hitting that ideal balance of crispy and soft. Spinach Artichoke: A flavorful blend of extra virgin olive oil, whole milk mozzarella, spinach, artichoke hearts, and caramelized onions. Spicy Beef: Made with halal beef, sweet onions, and a kick from three different types of chilies. Chicken Mushroom: Features halal chicken thigh (ground in-house by hand) with roasted mushrooms and fresh herbs. The empanadas ($3.50 each) were excellent and truly the primary reason to visit. The Spinach Artichoke and Spicy Beef were my personal favorites. I'll definitely be back soon to work my way through the rest of the empanada menu. With so many hipster restaurants popping up in the area, don't overlook this local gem. Whether you're in for the bakery treats or a hearty sandwich, you won't be disappointed.
