Most supermarkets happen to have prepared food but it isn't the main focus of the market. At Erewhon, however, the prepared food (and smoothies) are the stars, and the market is the afterthought. This place is always packed. Lines out the door for a smoothie. Predictably long wait for prepared food. Crowded tables outside. Lots of young, beautiful people here just hanging out. The food here is really good. I like the already prepared food that packed to go instead of the one behind the counter because I don't like lines. Although I have had the behind the counter food before and enjoyed it. They are known for their smoothies. I have not tried the smoothies because a lot of them are made with add ons like collagen that isn't vegetarian based and I don't eat meat products. They are pretty expensive as well (about $20 for a smoothie) but to justify the price I will say that they are more complex than a regular smoothie and buying the extras does add up. I bought some different brands that are vegan based to make the vegetarian copy/cat versions at home. I recently discovered the garlic miracle noodles on the grab and go shelf. They are pretty good and low calorie as well. They have an al dente bite to them. I had the entire container as my lunch and it was filling. On another trip to Erewhon, I got the wild salmon and paired it with the cilantro rice. Together it was super filling. I could have shared it with someone. Cilantro rice was spicy but very flavorful. Salmon paired well with the rice as it is plain and the rice is very flavorful. The fish looks small at first but I was so full that I think I misjudged the portion size in the beginning. I wanted to get a soup to go but, unfortunately, I found a lot of their vegetable soups are made with chicken broth. I hope they change that because it was a bummer and not necessary for vegetable soups. There is parking on the street and a lot next door with Erewhon parking on the bottom. Walking distance from Rodeo Drive if you so desire to be touristy. read more

I don't get it. It's just a grocery store not a Tiffany's going out of business. Over priced groceries for people who need to flex to the world that they're so successful that they can afford a $25 smoothie named after the latest whoever. When I was in here I thought they were giving away free something because there was actually a line to get inside. Then once we were inside there was another line to move to the main part of the grocery store. The smoothie line was about a 45 min wait and the check out line looked to be at least 50 people deep. I wanted to walk around and just to see what all the fuss was about but there were so many people in here that it was like leaving the stadium after a ball game. Couldn't wait to get out of here. I've lived in LA my whole life and avoided places like this because it always felt so out of touch. Watching kids convince their parents to buy every snack while single-handedly contributing to America's obesity problem. Watching a man try to decide between two smoothies named after nepo babies. I'm amazed by what society has come to. Men used to go to war. If this smoothie could fund my grad school tuition, then yes, I'd say it's worth the $21. Otherwise, I've made better ones at home that had more health benefits. The 2 stars was honestly unnecessary and more for my contribution to a better society. This place is packed with energy, good food, and fun. I had some dear friends visiting from out of town and brought them here. I love their hot bar and it did not disappoint. I went with the Korean short rib burrito and it was very good. My friends got bowls of soup and they were making those vanilla coconut smoothies that everyone talks about. I also grabbed the holly berry strawberry protein drink, so between that and the food it felt like two meals in one. The tri-colored potatoes and the beet salad were both really good. First time in LA--headed straight to Erewhon. This location is ultra busy and seems to always have lines for the smoothie bar and hot food bar. Food quality is top tier. Everything looks bright and appetizing. I found the strawberry glaze smoothie to be too sweet. While it was great for a warm day, I thought it was ultimately not worth the price tag. I would recommend the mango smoothie for a more refreshing drink. I also tried the famous raw cinnamon roll, which I loved, especially knowing it was made from whole food ingredients. The sushi section is also surprisingly impressive for a grocery store, with fresh options and pretty reasonable prices considering the location. That said, the store is always packed. It can feel overwhelming, and finding a place to sit is almost impossible during peak hours. Overpriced? Maybe Worth it? Absolutely Stopped here just for the Hailey Bieber Smoothie and it was worth ALL of the hype. I ended up going home the next day and buying all the ingredients to make it. Aside from that I loved all the options to choose from at this location. Great for quick meals, snacks and beverages. Some come to grocery shop while others a quick bite, either way it's a cute spot. This review is purely for the cafe inside that shop. We didn't walk around to shop here but came to try the viral smoothie. My friends and I were touring around LA and decided to stop in on our way to the Grove. Parking is kind of crazy/limited but, it is free while you shop. We came in on a Friday afternoon and there was a little bit of a line to order for the smoothies but not bad. There were a lot of different options. Our friends got the smoothie, my husband and I split the ice cream. The Hailey Bieber smoothie was $20 and the ice cream version was $10. Definitely overpriced, but we came for the experience. While we were there, we tried some crispy salmon rice and that was pretty tasty. The ice cream was really good and honestly, I liked it better than the smoothie. While the portion is pretty small, I would say $10 is fair for what you get. I don't think I would pay $20 for the smoothie though haha Overall, we enjoyed our experience and can cross this off our bucket list. read more

Despite all the hype, I have never been interested in shopping at Erewhon. We happen to come by this location while strolling around Rodeo Dr -- you can't miss the insanity of people outside taking selfies and the crowd at the entrance. The curiosity got to me, so we made our way in. After pushing our way through the throng in front, further inside of the store was better. The aisles are short/narrow, but were relatively empty. We comfortably browsed through each one. My daughter enjoyed explaining the purpose of the things I didn't understand -- like Sea Moss Gel. Admittedly, my OCD loved the meticulous, neat organization of their items. The thoughtful care in the quality and presentation of their products was apparent. That all said, I can't justify paying $16.50 for a jar of soup or $20 for a smoothie. No disrespect to those who are willing to do so, but it's not for me. I appreciated the experience. This was an extremely busy Erewhon and my first time inside. The smoothie bar and hot food bar were right on top of each other and right in front of the entrance which made it really hard to get inside and order. We ordered the cloud dream smoothie and it was alright. Not too flavorful. I ordered the pumpkin spice latte and it was awful. Like literally the worst thing I've ever had. Idk what they put in it but it was so bad I could only take 2 sips before my boyfriend downed it so I didn't waste $8. The prices of things inside varied a lot but not everything was unreasonable. They have glass bottles of water for $1.99 which I think is great especially in Beverly. read more

We only checked out the cafe and tonic bar areas, which were jam-packed with a line out the door on a Saturday afternoon! They've got a full grocery store as well, but we were just there for drinks we've heard about. Line was so long that we changed our minds to get food, where the line was much shorter. We split a sushi sandwich, which was delicious and enough for a small lunch or afternoon snack. We knew everything there is expensive, so didn't mind the $22 price tag as of Aug 2025! I visited this erewhon with friends on June 19th, and it's taken me a while to write this review just because of how awful the experience was. First of all, I love erewhon and think it's such a cool place to experience, however my experience at this location on this day was HORRIBLE. Firstly, my friend bought a sushi and on her way out, the security guard very rudely accused her of stealing!! He didn't ask for her receipt or anything, but just bluntly said "hey! You didn't pay for that. Come with me". When she went back to the cashier to confirm to the security guard that she had in face paid, the security guard DID NOT apologize and just rudely went "oh ok" and walked back to his spot at the door and avoided eye contact with us as we left. HOW RUDE! We had never been accused of stealing before and this was the worst, rudest possible way he could have done it. We also order smoothies, which were fine, but when we got the text that our smoothie was ready, we just stood and waited at the pickup counter forever!! Nobody helped us and literally made eye contact with us and went back to working IGNORING US! once we said "excuse me" for probably the 10th time, a woman finally came over. I showed her the text that said my order was ready, and she picks up the smoothie and SLAMS it on the pickup counter and goes "HERE" and goes back to working. I have NEVER experienced customer service so rude before. My friend also ordered the matcha smoothie and they made him the strawberry glaze one on accident. He very kindly pointed out the mistake and requested the correct one, and the same rude lady at the smoothie pick up counter grabs it out of his hand and goes "okay then kiss this one goodbye" ????? LIKE HOW RUDE!!!! They made a mistake with the order and now THEYRE being rude to US??? I typically don't like to leave bad reviews and tend to focus on the positives, but this was the worst experience I've had at any business EVER. The rudeness was off the charts. People come to erewhon and pay extremely high prices for good food and a luxurious experience. I can not believe we paid $20 for sushi and $20 for a smoothie just to get accused of stealing and be treated extremely rude to by the workers. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. read more

The Ceasar Kale salad was the best . Eggplant lasagna was ok it was cold and for the price I would rather go to fine dining place and eat it with proper cutlery and ambiance. At 1:30 p.m. on 3-11-26, it was crowded inside. However, there were empty outside tables. This location is obviously successful. Congrats! I decided to buy hand soap before buying food. I asked employee #1 where the soap was. Was this a tough, weird question? He gave me a blank look but kindly walked me over to employee #2. Unfriendly (female) employee #2 asked, "Hand soap?" and pointed. I say "unfriendly" because she looked at me as if the question was stupid--maybe because she was located NEAR the soap. Purely a smoothie review: we got the smoothie formerly known as the Hailey Beiber and it's like a strawberry and cream dessert. You can taste the strawberries and the smoothie is very refreshing. We also tried the Erykah Badu Mama's Bang Bang which was a very healthy tasting smoothie. With a mushroom blend and a bunch of healthy ingredients, this is more of a health based smoothie. The turmeric crush is the 3rd and final smoothie that we ordered. It is very turmeric and ginger forward. The ginger gives it a really good bite and the turmeric is definitely there. If you like ginger and turmeric, this is the smoothie for you. Overall each smoothie's flavor truly reflected the ingredients that were used. I'd guess that the other smoothies are very similar. The service was good and the smoothies took a little while to come out but not too long. read more

This felt like the Grocers Disneyland for the need to be seen and the bougie. It's beyond packed, with maze like aisles that feel claustrophobic. Known to be the most expensive supermarket in LA, I can see the appeal of grabbing their infamous celebrity collab smoothie. In all fairness, this rating will exclude price as a precurser for the review because that's a given. Don't go here if it's too expensive. The side walk between their tables and the store are generally always packed. Do yourself a favor, and cross the street if you are just walking in the area. Entering the store is difficult as their smoothie/hot food areas are immediately at the front with backed up lines that lead to people just getting stuck at the entrance. Crammed like sardines is an understatement. The only staff I saw were the cashier's and those working the food areas. So when it came to help, it was non-existent. The only saving grace is that if you are looking for a certain products with specific ingredients, there is a possibility can be found only here. read more

Pros: There is 60 minutes complimentary parking in a covered garage for shopping here. They do sell some pretty unique and interesting items. The Hailey Bieber smoothie was tasty. Cons: Prices are way above average. The aisles are a bit narrow and it was pretty crowded. The Hailey Bieber smoothies costs $20 and a 25 minute wait. Besides the smoothie I purchased a bag of their branded coffee beans $22 and a glass bottle of water for about $4. I probably won't return here but it is something to check out if you're visiting LA. Shoutout to the parking attendant gentleman who was very friendly. Also, tables outside could use some attention and cleaning. read more

The epitome of bougie! I loved the store for many reasons. The store has everything a health nut dreams of. The items you can't find in ordinary stores and sometimes not even in stores like Whole Foods or Sprouts. They have a really cool smoothie bar which seemed to be really popular. I ordered the Hailey Bieber smoothie which was actually pretty damn good. They have awesome bakery items as well and pretty much all things that I love. This is a very high-end store with pricing to match so it's not a place. I would grocery shop at, but definitely would wanna go back again. read more

As long as you approach it with the right mindset, you'll have a good time. We came for a tourist moment and obviously had to order the $20 Hailey Bieber strawberry glaze smoothie. We were directed towards a screen kiosk to order and they must be churning them out constantly, because it was ready within minutes. For reference, I once waited 30+ min for the same smoothie at a different location. This place can get pretty crowded but there's a small patio to sit outdoors and a bathroom in the back corner. read more

Contrary to my photo, this is by far the most dense Erewhon location. It is packed and it is overwhelming. The isles are way too narrow and it is difficult to pass other shoppers (and dodge influencers, yikes). If you want to actually shop, it is very difficult and unappealing.
