Hummus - Stuffed Grape Leaves - Tahini (Persian Cucumbers not pictured)
    Scott K.

*Got Hummus?* Great little neighborhood grocery store but lacks that friendly neighborhood feel. It's technically a Kosher Glatt Persian Market but they also carry lots of other items too. I don't eat kosher and I'm not Persian but I love Middle Eastern Food. Every time I step foot inside here, I feel like I've stepped in another dimension & into the Twilight Zone. There is one very nice guy & gal working here but that's really about it other than the guy at the sushi counter & one guy in the deli area. They have very good sushi that's the same fish that one of the neighboring kosher restaurant serves. My favorite thing here is their baked salmon rolls that are under $9. My favorite thing about this place is their Hummus and Tahini. They're made fresh daily and IMO it's some of the best. There's also lots of other cold pre-made food items that are all prepared daily and very good. They have a very good produce section (but nothing organic) with a nice variety. I mainly come here for the Persian cucumbers, Pears and Persimmons. But don't ask any of the Latino produce guys for assistance or questions because they'll react as if you're bothering them. They have a nice hot food area with excellent lunch specials- Salmon, Chicken, Chicken & Beef Kabobs, Beef Stew, Various Specials of the Day, and your choice of 2 sides to go along with the entree. The prices are extremely reasonable ($9-$12) and they give a lot of food that can last two meals - unless you're really hungry. They have an excellent baked goods section with a vide variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, and pita & flat breads, that are packaged from all the top bakeries on the Westside. They have packaged meats & poultry and also a butcher counter with some fresh fish too. There's even a large selection of wine and from what I've been told, they carry all types that are priced right. They pack a large punch inside this semi-small corner Kosher Persian market and I'm always surprised & happy to find some items I can't seem to find elsewhere - as well as reasonably priced everyday items I can find elsewhere that I'll simply grab while I'm here. Parking can be an issue because their located off a very busy & congested Pico & Beverly Dr intersection. They have their own small parking lot off Pico, but it's a very tight fit so I suggest parking on Pico or the side streets and feed the meter before yourself. If you've never been here it's worth a visit or two and perhaps repeats in the future because all & all it's a great little grocery store - even with the random attitude problems.

Well stocked market for Kosher and they sell produce as well! I am not on Kosher but it so happens that this is the nearest store by our building. I always buy my lunch here, they sell hot food. Really good middle eastern selection -- you can buy a lunch meal for $7.99+ with good portions! It comes with choice of sides (usually rice, pasta or potatoes), meat (chicken, kabob, turkey, salmon -- but salmon comes in a premium price of $8.99+) and vegetables. My favorite veggie side is the Ghormeh sabzi. It's an Iranian Herb Stew with beef. It looked kind of weird if you haven't tried it, but if you're wanting to try something new and middle eastern, this is recommended. I don't see this in other persian/middle eastern restaurants elsewhere. They have good wine selection and also serve prepared food like sushi, quinoa and others. When I'm in a rush I also do some vegetable shopping here. It's surprisingly cheaper than going to other groceries because you just buy how much you need at a lower price too. Love it! Parking: that's the difficult thing cause only street parking is available Service: On prime time like 12NN-2PM or 5-6PM there could be a wait on the line especially if they can only open 2 cashiers.

Overpriced, employees are not friendly. The quality of food could be better for that price.

Super expensive and they don't list the prices for half the things. Hard to navigate the store as well.

Every single time I come here I have the best time... although it's also a little dangerous because somehow I ALWAYS end up spending more money than planned lol. They have way too much good stuff here! What I love most is the insane variety they have packed into this market. No matter what you're looking for, chances are they probably have it. From snacks, drinks, candies, bakery items, imported groceries, fresh produce, refrigerated prepared meals, poke bowls, sushi rolls, sashimi, ice cream, household goods, kitchenware, dishes, utensils, skincare, makeup, plushies, blind boxes, stickers, pins, bags, cute decor, and so much more... the list seriously goes on forever. Despite not being a huge store, they make such great use of the space and every aisle is packed with fun finds. One little heads up: they do not allow outside food or drinks inside the store, so make sure to finish those beforehand. Also, it can definitely get busy at times and some aisles are a bit narrow, so it helps to be mindful of others while browsing. I especially love bringing family members here whenever they visit from out of town because they always go crazy over the exotic snacks and unique products. And as someone who is an absolute sucker for cute things, this place is basically heaven for me. I ALWAYS keep an eye out for Sanrio merch and they seriously have SO many adorable options here at pretty decent prices too, especially compared to how expensive Sanrio items can get elsewhere. On top of all that, the atmosphere here is such a vibe. It feels lively, colorful, and fun without being overwhelming, and the workers have always been friendly and respectful during my visits. If you're looking for somewhere cool to shop in Little Tokyo, this is 100% a must-visit spot. You can grab a snack, a drink, a sweet treat, and a cute souvenir all in one stop. Whether you're shopping for groceries or just browsing for fun, this place is an experience all on its own. Do yourself a favor and check it out if you haven't already!

I had just come back from going…read moreout and ran into my mom in front of the elevator, and she asked me to go to the market with her. But honestly, this place is absolutely terrible and horrible. Both my mom and I agreed that we will never come back here again. My mom had come to get a refund because one of the pears she bought the day before was completely rotten. The market manager refunded $2 to her credit card, which was fine. The real problem started after that. When my mom was trying to drive out of the parking lot, the gate bar went up after scanning the parking ticket, but then suddenly came crashing down. If my mom hadn't quickly backed up, it could have hit her car. The bigger issue was that after that, the gate bar never went back up again. Cars behind us had to use another exit nearby. My mom, who was very shaken, went to ask the market manager what to do, but she said she didn't know. (At first, I stayed in the car and had to tell the cars behind us to use the other exit because the gate was not working). I was very upset when I heard that, so I went inside and asked the manager for the building management's contact number. She gave me a number, but when I called, the person who answered kept saying she couldn't find the address even after I repeated it more than ten times. Eventually, she told me they no longer manage that building. So I asked her to provide the contact number for the property management that handles the building, and she gave me another number. but it led to an automated system. After selecting the emergency option, a man answered, but even after I clearly spelled out "Zion" multiple times (Z as in Zebra, I as in Ice cream, O as in Oscar, N as in Nancy), he still couldn't understand and then told me that they no longer manage the building and hung up. We arrived at the market around 5 PM and didn't get out until 7 PM. No one helped us at all. After the call, I went back to the market manager again, but she still said she didn't know anything. It made me so angry--how can a manager not even know the property management contact for the building they work in? I also have low blood sugar, so when I get hungry, I start shaking. I ended up buying a piece of bread from the Paris Baguette inside the market. I didn't have cash with me, so I had to pay $3.50 with my card, but thankfully, the staff there was very kind. In the end, my brother had to come all the way from Burbank to get a new parking ticket for us so we could finally get out--after two hours. If he hadn't come, we might have been stuck there even longer or had to abandon the car. Thinking about it now still makes me extremely angry. The customer service is terrible, the building management is a mess, and there was no security at all. I never want to come back to this place. We spent two hours there, from 5 PM to 7 PM, completely wasting our time. Because of this, I couldn't do anything I had planned for the rest of the afternoon and evening. It was an absolute nightmare. My mom was also very upset and couldn't believe a place like this exists. FYI) Every time I come to this market, there is absolutely no cell phone signal., which is another major downside.

Prices everywhere are going up so I wouldn't say this is the cheapest place to shop but for what you get it's not bad, and if you are looking to get a variety of what you need for Asian cooking this is a good spot for it. Service was quick and friendly at the register as this no frills and casual market. There is a parking garage behind the grocery as part of the mall but it can get crowded on weekends so if you're lucky you can find street parking but watch for street signs and some areas and streets are not in the best neighborhoods adjacent so be wary of your surroundings.

I asked her how things worked and she explained it all. The kefir/kombucha bottles are $4 for 16 oz and they have 3 of each on tap. I asked Marcy about one before realizing everything had a QR code and you can easily pull up the ingredients and descriptions/directions for each item. I'm getting away from plastics and this place scratches me right where I itch! They sell just about anything you can imagine! I was so impressed w the selection! They even have produce and fresh sourdough bread! The day old is 50% off and I'm so mad I was in a pinch and had to buy store bought bread, otherwise I would've tried it today. I can't say enough. Even the music was fire and I was shazaming and jamming. Shower gels, body care, non seed oils, baking mixes, laundry pods and things you see in bulk at like Sprouts, but the quality and sourcing seems to be better. Some items don't need jars and they sell paper bags for .10 each. I did a kombucha/kefir tasting. Marcy brought these steel bowls over. No waste at all! If you drink the POG kefir soda at Erewhon and love it, try it here! It's made w fruit and is noticeably better! And POG there is my fave. Just try it at Re_!!! So when I was checking out I asked Marcy about being more prepared and bringing my own glasses next time. They've thought of everything!!!! There's iPads and scales in the front of the store. They weigh your empty containers and give you a sticker with the tare weight and then subtract it from the weight at the end! Revolutionary! They add 3% for the employees. I should've added more. Marcy was amazing and worth it. I'm honestly not big on tipping everyone for just breathing but if all the employees are like Marcy, they are worth way more than 3%! If you sign up you get 100 points instantly, $1 = 1 pt, and at 200 pts you get $10! It's not hard to spend in places like this but it's beyond worth it. I keep seeing things about the harms of plastic and don't get me started on all the other crap in our food. I foresee this as a new staple in my diet and home. They even have cleaning products! I'm getting my spices here from now on too! I'm a fan and I'll be back! Thank you Marcy and to the owners that had this amazing idea!
