The manager, a young woman, also came across as someone who makes customers feel uncomfortable rather than supported. Because of her attitude, other staff ended up apologizing to me, which says a lot -- my last visit I've also noticed staff often chatting together near the register, and when I ask questions, they exchange looks that feel unwelcoming. This Trader Joe's feels easy to navigate, depending on the time of day. Parking is located underground, with limited parking on one floor. Meters are also located in the front. If you are coming after work, during that 5pm rush, the parking can get a little hectic. Team members are always helpful, nice. Store itself is well maintained and organized. Never had an issue here. Alright, this is my go to TJ's and it's a solid four. Easy underground parking and spacious. Clean clean clean! Rarely unable to find what I've come here for and usually able to get in and out without long lines. Disappointing First Visit, But Grateful for One Kind Employee I shop at Trader Joe's all over the Valley and have never had a problem--parking is usually simple, and the customer service is consistently great. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience at this location. I visited on the morning of 7/25/25 around 9:15am to make a return, and the interaction with the team leader or manager (along with two other employees) felt oddly uncomfortable. They made the process feel awkward and a bit judgmental, which was disappointing--especially as a regular TJ's customer who's always had smooth and friendly interactions elsewhere. I walked in excited to try this location and left feeling like it's not one I'd return to. That said, I do want to give a big thank you to the cashier gentleman who greeted me with a warm smile and genuine kindness. I wish I had caught his name--he was the one bright spot in an otherwise frustrating visit. Hoping this was just an off day, but for now, I'll stick to the other locations I know and love. read more

Trader Joe's is a much-loved brand for good reason. Their products are top notch and their prices are great! This store is clean, well-stocked, and well-organized. Lots of unique items to try here. There are extensive lists online with suggestions so I won't go into detail here. They also have lots of vegan and kosher items. Shopping here was quick and easy and there was someone to help me in every aisle that I needed help which made shopping a breeze. For some reason (and I love Trader Joe's) this location has the least friendly store associates (some are friendly but management isn't). It's like the opposite of Weho or even 3rd and Fairfax. This is a small Trader Joe's but I can find everything I need here. Sometimes I find the stuff here I can't find at other stores. People working here are generally nice but maybe once or twice in the past I came across a clerk who didn't care to greet you. There was an Asian security guard a few years back who wasn't really great at his job. He liked to follow people around in the store and I saw him pretending to shop once and drop an item he grabbed from the shelf, startling nearby shoppers. Not a fan of this cramped parking lot! I had to wait a long time once for someone to find their parking ticket. Other cars were honking. They should move to license plate validation. read more

I visited this store today and there were 3 different customers walking around with their dogs. These were PET dogs, not certified service animals (lets be real here). This is after a few weeks ago I barely stepped foot into the store with my dog and was told not to enter with it. They are discriminatory and either let you in with your dog or not depending on who is working that day. The manager said they can ask a customer if its a service dog and if the customer says yes they can't ask them to leave, so rest assured I will be bringing my dog with me next time. read more

This is my go to TJ's. We are here practicing social distance. Lately, I've heard something interesting, it's 6' apart or 10' under, from my Yelp friend Joan S. It's kinda funny but peeps, do take this seriously. It's no joke, people are dying!! Anyways, this TJ's was wiped out last month when the out break news took off. However, this place quickly re-stocked everything! I come here for just about everything. People here are friendly and efficient. What a bummer! I suppose I have been quite spoiled living in West Hollywood for the past 15 years, and I got used to the kind of friendly behavior of the employees at the TraderJoes on Santa Monica Blvd., and the one at 8000 sunset. I just moved into this area and have been shopping three times so far and very very disappointed. They are not mean or unprofessional but when you ask them a question, they don't look into it they simply points and say "if you don't see it, it's not there" They push past people in an aggressive way. It seems like it split half the employees are West Hollywood quality the other half don't seem to know they're working for TraderJoes :-/ After a stressful day at work, I have always found grocery shopping a pleasant reprieve unfortunately not anymore I find a stressful and aggravating. I love Trader Joe's. One of my favorite grocery stores. Convenient location in BH, but the underground parking structure is pretty small. Narrowly paved roads, so drive slowly. TJ will validate parking tickets - 1st hour is free. After parking, take the elevator up to the main/street level, where the store entrance is. So many great organic & non-organic items to choose from. They sell many high quality specialty items & are known for their exclusive, private label products-at such great prices, too. Trader Joe's employees consider themselves "traders on the culinary seas" and are known for their bright, tropical-patterned shirts and for generally being nice, helpful, and well informed. I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH MY EXPERIENCE TODAY AT MY FAVORITE TRADER JOE'S. The parking has always been a hassle but the store layout is great and generally the staff there seem to care about the customers. So overall it all works. I have been a loyal TJ customer since the nineties. No Pavilions or Whole Foods for me thank you. Today, I met a crew member named "SILVER" (my checker) who has absolutely no business dealing with the public. I spend $150-200 every week I visit the store. Silver was impolite and looked like he couldn't care less about my customer experience. No greeting, no thank you, and he packed my bags like he was taking out the trash. The milk in one bag leaked due to him packing cans on top of it. Maybe his cat had died or it was just an off day for him, but I doubt it. He needs to find a new job where being polite doesn't matter. read more

First time ever going to Trader Joe's and it will be my last time thanks to manager Lori! You'd think a manager would take customers first impressions more seriously.. She completely embarrassed me and was so rude! I'm 40weeks pregnant and was shaking after I left, had to sit in my car and calm down so I could stop cramping and crying.. I had just gotten off work and decided to go in to get some meat for dinner before going home, I was having a pleasant experience till I went to pay. The cashier who helped me was very sweet and kind but there was a something that needed to be authorized by a manager and then came Lori. First off, she loudly disclosed to everyone multiple times that I was paying with EBT. (Shouldn't have even been something of importance that needed to be repeated) She had a face of disgust the whole time... I was paying partial cash-partial card and didn't think it would be that big of a deal since it's a grocery store. You'd think that'd be a common occurrence doing split payments. Well it completely sent her into a spiral.. maybe she isn't too tech savvy or maybe she just forgot to drink her prune juice this morning, but she made a fuss (already understanding I'm paying with ebt) she asks me with a snarky tone "you don't have a regular debit card you can pay with? & use your ebt another time?" I said "no I don't & I only have a certain amount on my card so was trying to pay the rest with change, so sorry to inconvenience you" and she didn't say anything just huffed and puffed over and over. She then gets mad saying to the cashier "well now I have to completely shut down this computer, great, all for .50" The cashier could tell I was embarrassed and kindly redirected me to another register and she apologized on behalf of the manager. I said sorry to her because Lori was even giving her attitude as well. I finished my transactions and as I was leaving Lori had her hand on her hip angrily tapping the screen with the other. I was so uncomfortable and embarrassed but I went up to her to say "sorry to inconvenience you with paying ebt but you didn't have to be so rude to me or the cashier. This is a grocery store. You're a manager, so manage" all Lori rudely said was "well look what you did..all because of you this register has to restart..because of .50 you didn't have" then she put a brown bag in front of her face to shield herself from conversing with me. No apology,just a rude angry mug. Super unprofessional! How she's even a manager with that type of customer service is beyond me. I'm going to be calling corporate tomorrow because I've never been treated that way anywhere especially a place that was recommended to me for having great customer service. Praying my baby doesn't come tonight due to the heavy emotions I experienced. She most likely won't be corrected about this but I had to leave a review. read more

Terrible customer service. The cashier overcharged me by charging me a different product instead of scanning and argued that he was right. After I came back all the way to my car I realized that he did overcharge me for sure and I had to come back to grocery store and wait on the line to get my money back. BEWARE OF EGREGIOUS ERRORS I really want to like this conveniently located Trader Joe's, but after numerous mistakes at this branch, here are some issues to beware of next time you shop: 1. CHECK ALL EXPIRATION DATES - Today, I tried to buy some Trader Joe's French Village Strawberry nonfat Yogurt, but when I checked the expiration dates, over 10 items on the shelf had already expired on 10/2! That was 2 weeks ago. At first I thought, well, maybe someone is dyslexic. Then, I spotted cartons that expired 10/7!!! When I alerted an employee, she just continued to shelve products. When I alerted another employee, she followed me to the dairy section to see what I meant. This issue is also common when it comes to their prepared salads, but usually, they have only expired a day or two. 2. NOT ALL COLORED BOXES ARE ALIKE!!! - Today, I bought Aloo Chat Kati Pouches in a purple box as well as Lamb Vindaloo in a similar looking box. The checker tried to cut corners by running them both thru as Lamb Vindaloo. Well, the Lamb Vindaloo is $3.99, and the Aloo Chaat is only $2.29. THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES. I don't feel like lining Trader Joe's pockets, so now, I study my receipts and point out the price discrepancies on the spot. 3. PACK YOUR OWN BAGS - I've given up on letting ANYONE pack my bags here after they repeatedly packed my fruit and soft perishables on the bottom and threw some boxes on top, crushing my food. Until they run their lackadaisical employees through proper training when it comes to packing, forget it. 4. NEVER EXPECT YOUR PRODUCTS TO ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE - Over the years, I've been hooked on numerous Indian dishes, cookies (Carnival cookies had a great selection that rivaled Pepperidge Farm), etc. that I found here, but then, they suddenly disappeared. If you're lucky, they occasionally reappear under the Trader Joe's brand (i.e Inner Peas) in smaller portions for higher prices. Yes, the store is clean, and the employees are friendly, but I'm coming here for affordable, quality products first and foremost. Shopping here has definitely become a chore! read more

Maybe its the holiday season that caused them to brighten up their interiors but whatever it is, this is a great location starting with the PARKING (those who know me call me the parking snob) Friendly customer service (I was looking for a specific product and I wanted 60 of them and they literally went to the stock room to check) Elevator service to from the parking garage is available. Don't forget to get your ticket validated. Don't forget to pay for your parking by the elevator entrance/exit as there is no human to help you at the exit. Everything done electronically before you get back into your vehicle. I like everything about the store except for the bad parking establishment here! Big cars,tiny spaces and always crowded. A lot of these big expensive cars drivers needed assistance in backing out of a parking space. Totally ridiculous. Other than that,staff are always helpful and fast. The veggie and fruit section has the biggest space and are always fully stocked,beating the meat and dairy section! Love it! All TJ locations have this common set-up if you notice. This is an excellent store. Very convenient to the busy corner of LaCienega and San Vicente. The store is large enough to have all the necessities, but small enough to maneuver around.. Plenty of associates throughput the store to assist you. I went to buy flowers and Jeanette, an associate was doing a great job stocking the flowers and plants and making the entire section beautiful. Always. Numerous cashiers to assist, my cashier was Jose who was fast and efficient. Ample parking in the garage with the entrance located of Burton Way. Overall a very good shopping experience. read more

Have you shopped their flower selection?! Prices are $4.99, $5.99, etc for a dozen roses or, peonies, hydrangea, tulips, cala lilies. Cheap and tons to choose from. They truly are amazing with their flower distribution. This week I'm going to the LA Flower Market and I'll make sure to post a very detailed comparison to see if the extra drive downtown trumps what this little gem stores right down the block (referring to this Trader Joe's which is in walking distance from me). Best Trader Joe's I've ever been in. I've passed by a few times but it looked really complicated to get inside the store from San Vicente. I decided to try to find my way in. So simple. Turn west on Colgate, which is the first street you come to if you're on San Vicente and you cross Burton Way. Take a right, and the underground parking entrance is right there. Plenty of underground parking with nice sized parking spaces. The only thing about the parking is there are no signs pointing to the entrance. Plenty of signs leading to exit, but not to the store. Look around and you'll see the elevator which has Trader Joes painted on it. The store is huge! It's the biggest and nicest Trader Joe's of all (as far as I know). Great staff, short checkout lines, and they validate parking!! Wow, now that I know how to get in here, I'll shop here more often! read more

The friendliest staff ever! They make me feel like a guest. I love all Trader Joe's locations that I visit, but this one is my favorite! I had to knock off a star due to the bagged greens going bad very quickly several times. They go bad even unopened after 2-3 days. I love this TJ. Staff is beyond awesome, everything is fresh, good selection of flowers, fruits and vegetables and the place is spotless. The prices are competitive and really it's just such a pleasure. Coming here with my toddlers after work isn't even an issue. The staff is tenured (and yes, my kids know the "lollipop man" who even remembers their favorite colors; the staff lets them help swipe groceries and are just so wonderful and let me tell you - it isn't like this at every Trader Joe's. They serve a huuuuge community in the area but you wouldn't feel it - worth the slightly cramped parking. Oh and even the parking attendants are very nice - an all around solid experience. The 5 stars go to Jesus who was working today (11/27) around 8am. I was in the aisles looking for a specific item and I saw a Caucasian male employee around his 30s with black hair, whom I said "excuse me" to, to get his attention and he basically ignored me. I am not sure if Jesus noticed this, but also wouldn't be surprised if this his nature but he approached me shortly after and asked what I needed help with, so gracefully. He not only told me where the item was but asked me to wait for him and he brought them to me. He didn't have to do that but he did and I just appreciated the gesture and his service, so much! He made up for the initial interaction with the first employee and the cashier (Andrew) who also seemed to be having a bad day. We all have bad days but don't take it out on people who are not being rude to you in the first place. Thank you Jesus! Keep up the great customer service. You are amazing! read more

Staff here is always friendly and accommodating. So accommodating they offered a me a credit when I returned to their store the second time on the same night with lamb shoulder that had expired the day prior and smelled like a corpse. They even issued a full refund of its replacement filet mignon when I returned the third time that night since the filet mignon two weeks away from its expiration date was still completely rotted. They're having issues with their refrigeration. Buyer beware. read more
