On the last day I was pleasantly pleased with the final progress. However, here is the issue: In the office, storage closet, and bedroom there was ripped up carpet (which was done during the initial prep) because it transitioned to the LVP. He informed me that he would have someone come "tuck the carpet", because that was something that he doesn't do. He also asked if I can pay him, and I obliged simply because the flooring was completed for the most part. I also assumed he took great pride in his work and wouldn't leave the existing carpet out of place (I was wrong). Prior to leaving he informed me that someone would be coming to my house the next day to tuck the carpet. He went as far as to calling me 10 minutes after he left to schedule a time of 12:30pm. Unfortunately, no one showed and when I contacted him to get an ETA, he never responded. This was well over a month ago and he still hasn't gotten back to me. So now I'm left with paying someone else to complete a task that Matt was supposed to do. This is highly unacceptable and unprofessional. What if the shoe was on the other foot and I didn't pay him what he was owed? It would be a huge issue. Some of these contractors want you to respect their business but won't give you the same respect in return.

I rarely leave 1-star reviews, especially for another local business, but after months of trying to…read moreresolve this privately and now receiving no response for over a month, I feel prospective customers should know about my experience with Evolve Epoxy. I hired Evolve Epoxy to install approximately 5,000 sq. ft. of flooring in my commercial automotive shop. I paid approximately $4.50 per sq. ft. for what was represented to me as a premium, high-solids polyaspartic flooring system. My paperwork also included a 10-year limited warranty on materials and installation. Within approximately three years, the floor had deteriorated dramatically. The finish became uniformly faded and worn throughout the shop, including low-traffic areas, and we experienced chipping and other areas of deterioration. The floor no longer looked good even immediately after professional cleaning. These floors were not neglected. We had them professionally cleaned monthly. When the condition became particularly concerning, my cleaner spent more than six hours pressure washing, surface scrubbing, degreasing and using an auto scrubber on the floor. It still looked faded and worn afterward. Steve has attributed the failure primarily to our use of diluted isopropyl alcohol. I disagree with that conclusion. The deterioration extends throughout the shop, including areas where IPA was rarely or never used. I have also spoken with multiple reputable flooring contractors who questioned whether diluted IPA would explain this type of uniform failure. More importantly, I was never warned when purchasing the floor that diluted isopropyl alcohol could cause premature failure or void the warranty. Had I been told that, I obviously would not have used it. I spent months trying to resolve this privately because, as a fellow business owner, I understand that products and installations can occasionally have problems. I wasn't expecting perfection; I expected the warranty to mean something when a problem occurred. Various repair solutions were discussed, including sanding/scuffing the existing coating and applying another product over it. Given that the existing system had already failed prematurely, I was not comfortable simply coating over it and potentially dealing with another failure later. I requested that the failed system be removed and the floor properly redone, or that my money be refunded so I could hire another qualified contractor. I have now gone more than a month without a response to my last email. I paid a premium price for a flooring system backed by a 10-year warranty. Roughly three years later, I'm left with floors that look significantly worn and a warranty dispute that remains unresolved. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend Evolve Epoxy.
