Cauliflower Fritters, Cotoletta Alla Milanese, Pappardelle al Sugo Di Carne, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes

Swung by here for a Sunday brunch with some friends and it was a solid spot. We liked everything we had. The decor is fun and welcoming, it's a cool spot to hangout and have some drinks on a lazy Sunday. The food: Lemon Ricotta Pancakes- This was my fav thing we had, the pancakes were so light and fluffy. The flavor on this was great and I liked how it wasn't too sweet. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlA&select=Grxxw1NGp3ufmSiKK5rtxw Pappardelle al Sugo Di Carne- I thought this was made really well. I loved the texture and chew of the noodle the most, it really stuck out. Overall flavor was nice and homey. Cauliflower Fritters- Not sure I would describe it that way since it felt more like a potato pancake with cauliflower. Truth be told, if I closed my eyes, I would not even have noticed the cauliflower in the dish. I liked the flavor of this and I enjoyed the runny poached egg but I wish they had a better quality smoked salmon. The salmon tasted very basic. Cotoletta Alla Milanese- This was OK, the cutlet was fried really well but it wasn't an exciting dish. The cutlet was super crispy which was great but it came off a bit dry. I also felt there needed to be same kind of sauce or something because there was only lemon to squeeze on top. The roasted potatoes were ok, kind of lifeless, they were just soft with no texture.

came here for brunch and it was a cute spot with a nice ambiance near little Italy/soho. pancakes were really good and their plates in general are decently sized (not too big) so you don't leave stuffed

Amazing happy hour deal! Around 4pm on Monday there was no wait, and the servers were fast and attentive. The interior is small and cozy, with quaint decoration and a warm atmosphere. During happy hour (3:30-6:30pm on weekdays), they have $12 pastas! We ordered a pappardelle with mushroom ragu and a rigatoni ragu bolognese. The textures of the pastas were perfectly al dente, and for both pastas the flavors were delicious. Both pastas were slightly too salty for our taste. Overall definitely recommend a try!

Cute spot with good service. Walked in for brunch at open and there was no wait. Staff was consistently attentive and polite. Definitely recommend the latte, very flavorful and good presentation. Got the avocado toast with an egg and it was the perfect portion. Nice flavors and texture with the added radishes, and great presentation on a wooden board.

Great little coffee shop in Little Italy. I really enjoyed the vibes of this place. With the windows opened, there was a nice gentle breeze coming in, on a brisk/warm June day. The staff here is extremely friendly. This coffee shop has a couple of couches as well as benches along the window, and your standard tables and chairs. Lattes and capacino were on-point, as well as the tiramisu we ordered.

Stopped by on a Friday night for happy hour! Found this gem on TikTok, and loved the atmosphere. It was warm, welcoming & cozy. The service was okay, not super attentive considering it wasn't super busy. Also we ordered drinks on HH but weren't given a HH discount. Nonetheless it was a yummy meal with friends and we decided not to say anything as we were content. Would recommend to others!

Stopped by for a quick brunch while doing some shopping in the area. I got the avocado toast and added smoked salmon to it while my boyfriend got the pappardelle pasta. The toast was good and the smoked salmon was a nice touch. They started us off with some bread and pretty good olive oil! The pasta was okay for $20. The spot had indoor and outdoor dining and it felt pretty homey inside.

Cute artistic spot with a limited brunch menu but I enjoyed the chicken egg sandwich and my friends got a scramble and shakshuka.

Great Brussels sprout salad and tagliatelle pesto--small portions, though. White wine carafe was good. Nice atmosphere, relaxed and cozy.

I am SO glad we did. The vibe drew us in, they had great music bumpin from the outside, it looked lively and welcoming. Let me tell you- I would have skipped dinner and just stayed here all evening if it was my choice! But alas, my husband wanted a bit more to eat. But let me tell you- their knowledge of wine is PRISTINE! I can't tell you what white wine we had but they captured our tastes perfectly. We also shared a bruschetta and it was deliciouso! I love how friendly the staff was here and how unpretentious it all was. Next time we are in NYC- we will definitely make a point to come visit Rake!

First I'll start with the wine - we ended up trying all three happy hour wines (HH until 7), which the tables favorites were the white and we ended up getting a bottle to split once HH ended (but I really enjoyed the other vino verde option). It was incredibly refreshing and paired well with the many tinned fish options. As you'd expect - it's a pretty massive selection and there is bound to be a varietal and glass for any palate. It's also attached to a wine store - so it's fine to see all the bottles when peaking over. Food-wise - this is where it was hit or miss, they have a pretty extensive menu (with a whole tinned fish section!) and we ended up ordering the buratta on focaccia (buratta was excellent, focaccia was too dense for my tastes), mushroom truffle crostini (way too salty), the flatbread with sliced kielbasa (was fine), halloume (table favorite ), tinned sardines in lemon oil (delicious), tinned smoked trout (my favorite). Overall the four of us were very full at the end of the meal! The space itself felt very relaxing and rustic, and definitely got busier as the night went on (we got there at 6:50 and left around 9). The service was also fast and attentive - even for the amount of tables they were serving. Overall - I'd definitely go back again, and maybe just focus on the wine and another tinned fish selection!

Starting with the positives -the banchan was solid across the board and really flavorful. That said, charging for banchan feels strange to me. Traditionally, it's complimentary, like bread at an Italian restaurant so that part didn't sit right but it was flavorful. The chigae was interesting and probably the standout dish. It had a unique flavor that reminded me of a mix between soondubu and dwenjang chigae which worked well. Unfortunately, the rest was a miss. The bossam was overly salty and didn't feel true to the dish. The tteokbokki was another disappointment -it came with cheese (which wasn't expected) and just fell flat overall. For the hype, I expected much more especially because I've eaten Korean food my whole life. The venue is small and the seats in the back are uncomfortable.
