I've been going to Episode Nails on Amboy Road since it has opened. I've had my nails done and pedicures and I've been most pleased. I always get lots of compliments. I hate leaving bad reviews but this one is for the principle of it. My wife had an appointment with Erica. Not sure if Erica knew it was my wife's birthday or not, but she had a terrible attitude just because my wife requested her nail repair be done before the gel application. Erica refused to do her nails unless it was her way. My wife leaves good tips everytime, and just because you disagree with her shouldn't mean you have an attitude. You ruined her day. I've been going here a little over a year and usually have such a great experience but lately it hasn't been so great. Now I make sure to only go to Erica. I went in May sat in a chair for a woman named seven. That alone should've been a warning. She did the wrong Shape, tried to do the design showed, I didn't like it before it was cured and asked if she could take it off. She said no and that shes done one figure and won't remove it and it'll look better once the whole hand was finished. I was fuming that a waste of money. I went again on Monday, sat in a an older woman's chair she cut multiple fingers and put something green I honestly want to said it was glue but I couldn't be wrong. The shape is off and she was toooooo rough. Multiple fingers are swollen but my right hand is worse, it's swollen and red the left is also swollen but not as bad. I have been going to this location for more then five years. The owner has been nothing but professional and courteous when it comes to taking care of my nails. This is one of the cleanest places I have ever been at as well. Jenny does great work and over extends herself to make you happy and I can't ask for anything else. Awful! Omg! I waited 20 minutes in this place for a Pedicure okay not too bad and the chairs are new. When finished wasn't so great but I said okay let's wait a day and see how they look. A week went by and now I have fungus on my toes and nails and need to see a foot doctor. I went back to tell them what happened and waited 45 minutes n when the woman was ready to start they stopped her and put someone in front of me n said I had to wait longer. That's a lot of BS FIRST OF ALL THEY SHOULD HAVE A HEALTH INSPECTION! the women don't speak English so maybe immigration should be in here to see if they are harboring illegals.. I am not happy at all with this shabby establishment and will not be returning. I may even send them my podiatrist bills. They should get ZERO STARS. read more

This place is dirty based on the owner dress and hair, while I was there for one nail replaced, she charged me for $10 , what's a ripoff . Looking around the whole place is messy, I didn't want to get my pedicure done at this point. My #1 nail salon on Staten Island. My manicures always look great and last up to 2 weeks most times. Pedicures are also awesome. They last about 45 minutes and also include a nice stone massage. I normally make an appointment because sometimes there is a await, but it's not required. read more

I only go for Ara. She is wonderful. It's a nice place but the wait is sometimes way too long...and appointment times are rarely honored... in my experience. However, Ara is well worth the inconveniences. I wouldn't go here if she was not there. read more

This salon was recommended to me and I tried to give this place a try. I called and made an appointment over a week ago. The girl asked my name, looked in the book and then asked for my number. She proceeded to press buttons on the phone (I'm assuming she was checking caller ID). She kept saying I don't see your name. Another customer comes in saying she had a 4 o'clock appointment and is taken right away. The girl starts working on the woman's nails. When I ask her if it's going to be a long wait, she says an hour. Really? It's bad enough they never recorded my appointment, treated me as if I was lying, ignored me and then said I'd have to wait. The manicurist named Ara is a sweet heart. She takes her time and really strives to do a job well done. However, the owner Jenny is another story. She is rude and obnoxious, particularly if she is the one making a mistake and you call her on it. I scheduled an appointment with Jenny to see Ara 3 weeks in advance. When I get to the appt. at the time I had told her, she tells me to go home because it's on the wrong date and Ara can't see me. Mind you she knows that I live in N.J. and was going to her right after work. So I insisted on seeing Ara and she tells me she will have another girl do my nails. I was fuming by this point and insisted I was going to see Ara. I told her it was bad customer service to tell a client to go home. I finally saw Ara but did not leave the salon until 3 hours later.
