Garlic, lemon pepper, hot chicken strips, and .394

*****$5 draft pints all day***** This location is great if you are in the area, going to a concert or game that you need to pregame for. Cheap beer good food and right in the heart of everything. I always go with single strip meal with garlic, lemon pepper, and hot. The three sauce combo is a must, if you aren't utilizing all the flavors you're doing it wrong. I usually get extra bread cause it's delicious and cheap. Food is tasty and fast. Grab a beer and get it to go if your just passing through. I can't pass a good college beer deal with such tasty food. If you don't like wings they have other chicken options. Parking is sparse on the streets but there are a few garages in the area. Go State!

Food was great, so great in fact me and my man ate the chicken completely OFF THE bone !!

I so wanted to leave a good review as the experience started off fine. It is definitely a SDSU hang out and a "walk to" place and not a "let's go out to eat here" type of place... I was able to find parking and the parking spots are SMALL where you are literally smacking the car beside you (I didnt but my car did get a few whacks)... I had an appt nearby and decided to give it a go if I found parking. The outside gate is locked, so went around to the front. They have 2 self-serve kiosks available... cool because there was 4 people waiting to order when I arrived... I got to the "enter your number" on the kiosks and it wasn't until I noticed the person beside me reach for a buzzer that I understood what it meant. They are hidden in between the registers. Order complete... I walked around and notice a ton of seating (restaurant capacity was 143!!) And a very clean wrap around bar area. I walked back to the front and proceeded to wait for my food. Food seemed to be being brought out quickly and then it was my turn and I was off. It was saucy! I LOVED the extra medium spiced sauce I recieved! I love their ranch dressing as well... However that is where the good review ends... the first bite was the smallest piece of chicken... it literally tasted like it was cooked.... frozen and then re-cooked again. It was beyond dry and rubbery. I thought, its because its small... so I tried the biggest piece, it was so extremely dry (see pics) and I was so disappointed. The sauce was good but without good flavorful tasting chicken it was a bust. I tossed the entire thing. The chicken had no flavor, unless it was dipped in sauce or ranch. Also Not sure if it was because of college area or COVID... but it was $12 for 5 pieces of over cooked chicken, bread and veggies. The veggies were pale in color and off tasting... took a bite of a carrot and threw it out. Was super disappointed especially after seeing how busy it was... maybe it was an off day? But after reading the reviews it doesn't appear to be an off day, more like habit and/or common practice (possibly on slower days).

They take long to bring out the food and to even take your order, they prioritize the people they know, like friends or family.

The fried chicken is still crispy, addictive, and mostly consistent between locations. I'd pick Korean fried chicken over American fried chicken chains any day, but the items here are quite pricey. Also, sometimes the chicken here isn't completely coated in the sauce and hence could use more sauce. Service is good and punctual. My order is always ready before the estimated pick-up time. It's a more casual Korean spot to go eat with your friends. I didn't see many people inside the times that I've picked up food here.

I even politely asked if I could try two sauces since it was my first visit. The kid blinked at me like I'd asked him to solve a riddle and whispered "one sauce only." Fine. I chose the spiciest one and moved on with my life. After a wait, he brings out bone‑in wings. I remind him I ordered boneless, and suddenly I'm trapped in a loop where he keeps repeating, "That sauce does not come on boneless," as if the universe itself forbids it. This would've been excellent information to share before cooking the wrong thing, but here we are. He eventually checks with the back and offers boneless with the second‑spiciest sauce, which at this point feels like a hostage negotiation. I accept. The boneless arrives. It's dark meat (not my favorite). The sauce is sticky sweet gochujang with a personality crisis. And the only dip option is ranch. No bleu cheese. No dignity. Nothing tasted bad. Nothing was inedible. But the whole experience felt like ordering chicken inside a bureaucratic escape room. Fresh food, sure, but the communication gaps and sauce‑based existentialism made the visit exhausting rather than exciting.

I've tried some of the other locations (liberty station especially can sometimes overcook their wings) but this location always gets it right. I was seated quickly on this bar table thing (not the actual bar) and it was high up. The prices were pretty expensive at $12.50 for five wings, not including any sides/sauces. I came here on a Monday and got the Monday AYCE wing special. The AYCE made it more worth it but still a bit pricy at $31 per person. For AYCE, it comes with fries or tater tots, a sauce, 10 wings, and some carrots and celery for your first order. After that, you get 5 wings per refill. The wings were a good size though the skin wasn't really crispy or anything. I tried buffalo, lemon pepper, and flaming honey mustard. Buffalo and lemon pepper are my go to flavors but I didn't really enjoy any of the flavors I tried. There were an overwhelming amount of flavors so it was a bit hard to choose on the spot with AYCE but now I wish I tried some different ones. Our waitress was pretty nice and checked in on us a good amount. Overall, I felt like the food was just okay, and for the value made it less good. My rating is a bit higher because of the service. I might come back to try some other flavors since this is such an iconic San Diego chain.

The wings were a really good size--not tiny--and cooked just right. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. The buffalo sauce had a nice kick to it without being overwhelming, so you can actually enjoy the flavor instead of just burning your mouth off. The fries were also solid--crispy, well-seasoned, and not greasy. You can tell they actually care about how their food comes out, not just throwing stuff together. I also tried their ranch, and it was really good (definitely needed more though, they don't give a ton ). The service was quick and smooth. Staff seemed chill and didn't take long to get the order out, even though it was a bit busy when I went. The place itself had a relaxed, casual vibe--good for just hanging out or grabbing food with friends. Only reason I'm not giving a full 5 stars is because I wish the portion of sides/sauces was a little bigger, especially for the price. But overall, the quality of the food definitely makes up for it. If you're looking for a reliable wing spot with good flavor and consistent quality, Epic Wings is 100% worth checking out. I'll definitely be coming ba

TL;DR It's really good. Go here…read more -------------- I came here after a friend recommended it when I told them I was coming down to San Diego for a day trip during my spring break from school in Orange County. I was born and raised in LA, so I've had a lot of Chinese food growing up, and I wasn't expecting to be this surprised--but I really was. I ordered the black bean eggplant and the salt and pepper chicken wings. The wings are what they're known for, but I have to start with the eggplant because it completely caught me off guard. It wasn't mushy at all--crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked on the inside, and coated in sauce without losing its texture. Every bite had depth and balance, not just saltiness. I actually meant to start with the wings, but the eggplant was so good I ended up eating half of it before even getting to them. By that point I was already getting full, but I still made sure to finish the wings--and I'm honestly excited to take the rest of the eggplant home as leftovers. By the time I got to the wings, I understood why they're popular--crispy, flavorful, and super satisfying--but what stood out to me was how both dishes complemented each other. One rich and layered, the other crisp and bright. I never got tired of eating, which honestly says a lot. I even told the staff how much I enjoyed the food and they thought I was joking, but I meant every word in saying I thought it was comparable, if not better then the food I've had in Chinatown in LA. Really glad I came here and the next time I have a chance to come back down to SD I definitely will come back here and that's not negotiable for me

This place is NOT worth the high rating it has. We ordered the Fried Green Beans, they were cooked in oil that was obviously not to temperature. Too greasy for consumption. To make it worse? They were drowned in salt! The Crispy Beef was nothing but thick dough with no beef inside. To add insult to injury it was BURNED so badly that all you could smell was burnt dough and taste burned dough. Hardly any sauce on it as well. The Shrimp Fried Rice should have just been plain white rice for how bland it was. The Vegetable Chow Mein literally was just a container of salt. Slim noodles and salt, disgusting! We spent so much money and all of this is going right into the garbage. Stay away from this hole! It should be shut down for trying to poison people. Feels like I am going to go blind from the amount of salt I ingested from only a few bites. Gross!!
