I really enjoy the adult skate nights and the lessons from Marsha, Leo, Diane and George. The music is really good and it suits a skating vibe (the right beat). The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the music volume is SO LOUD! You can't have a conversation without yelling. The other reason is that the light are very low, making it dark. Difficult to see other skaters until they run into you. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The food is good and fresh too! read more

First of all....my kid went to sit down on a chair and the chair was extremely wobbly and she had her skates on and she fell and fractured her wrist. That was a nice long drive home with her in pain. My other gripe about this place, specifically tell you no water bottles yet this place is covered in them and water bottles to buy here are $3.50. I paid $100 just to get in and other $50 on water. We're from out of town and it just doesn't seem fair that everyone seems to know they can care less about their own rules. I literally have my water bottles inside my car. That's what I get for following the rules! Also the employees tell you slow skater near the outside of the rink, yet they skate the fasted on the outside of rink. The skating rink itself is a little rough, you can tell a lot of people enjoy this place. The amount of seats it great, even though some of the the booths are in need of desperate repair. We had a great time at Epic! The music was great and the price is right for the amount of time you get for each session. The only thing I would suggest is that they redo the skating floor or maintain the floor better than they have. I grew up going to a skating rink and the floor was buffed everyday! The floor was not smooth in many areas which gives the appearance of it being worn out but also made the floor grippy and gave some skaters issues. read more

Clean and spacious fun and entertainment zones. Small floor. I skated with clay wheels and PU outdoor wheels and the floor lacked slip with both wheels. I think the floor is a little dull. Perfect for beginners and kids. I was able to skate better on the smooth concrete--both clays and PUs. My clay wheels roll better on my original hardwood floors. Rental skates seemed to be decent quality. My cousin had hair suck in a wheel. The wheels were all over the place especially for children sizes. I highly recommend bringing a skate tool to adjust the wheels so kids' wheels don't roll to fast while they are learning to balance and use the appropriate body mechanics to roll, skate, and bounce! Customer service was good. Nice snack selection with reasonable prices. Parking is good. Strict policy about no in-and-out. I think reusable water flasks should be use to reduce the use of single-serve plastics. I always have a water jug in my car. It'd be awesome if they had a water refill station like at the airport. I'd pay up to $1.00 to use rather than drink out of a plastic water bottle for $3.00. We went during a 4pm- 7pm session for a child party. Music was cool and diverse. I like the video monitors and ceiling fans. Overall, it is a nice roller rink. Not in my neighborhood so I'd only revisit if invited. read more

UNFORTUNATELY I HAVE TO LEAVE AT LEAST ONE STAR OTHERWISE I'D LEAVE 0 I don't recommend wasting your time driving here to have a nice family outing on any given Friday, because you have to be 17+ to get in so anybody in your party under 17 will be turned away even if accompanied and chaperoned by adults. Having to be 17 is alright, but In addition you have to have valid id (which is also fine) but in addition to that, you have to have your physical government identification card/passport/driver's license with you AND A SCANNABLE PHOTO IS NOT ADEQUATE. Which is crazy because most teenagers that come to a skating rink just bring a couple bucks in cash and a phone to avoid items being lost ,stolen or broken. I'm 27 and I'm in the military currently stationed in Virginia, I leave tomorrow to report back to duty and was trying to take my 17 year old sister and 25 year old girlfriend to the epic skating rink. It didn't not go well... After driving 1 hour and 40 minutes my younger sister was denied and turned away. Causing our night to be ruined and it was too late to find anything else to do on my last night here with my family. So thank you to the owners and security and manager that we're not helpful or understanding at all and showed absolutely no empathy or compassion. Didn't even much care that our night has been turned upside down. Actually told us "there's nothing we can do you either have your id or you can go home" before I was even able to try to speak with him. TO BE CLEAR A PICTURE OF YOUR VALID DRIVERS LICENSE ISNT ENOUGH TO GET IN TO THIS SUPER UPPITY HIGH CLASS ENTERTAINMENT FACILITY (not really it's a mediocre rink and a couple of overpriced, halfway functioning arcade games) But and still this facility requires more than TSA security at an airport to enter on Friday nights. I was told the age will move from 17 down to 16 soon But even still most 16-17 year olds don't have a driver's license nor do they have a government issued id, usually just a school ID which I have confirmed will NOT be accepted. I've been in this roller rink about 4 times with my girls. One of those times included a birthday party that I hosted. The prices for the parties have really gone up with all the extras al a carte. The rink is very small and two of the times we were there we witnessed terrible injuries which required ambulance intervention. On a separate visit, my nephew broke his arm at this same rink. We are almost afraid to go anymore..,and I've given up on hosting future parties there. read more

Shame on this place for charging parents with minor children just to enter. I'm very disappointed in the owner for making such a terrible decision to charge parents with minor children who are not rollerskating. Their excuse was that some parents ruined it for others. I purchased two tickets online for both my children but nowhere on their website stated that everyone must pay. EPIC... your greed will make you lose customers quick. Funny thing is I was planning on having both my girls birthday parties here September and March. It's the principle of the matter and not the price of admission. I have been meaning to leave a review the last time I was here. I am beyond impressed by a young lady who works here who has exceptional care for not only her job but for the skaters in the rink. She does her job with a smile On Her face and it radiates. Her name is Channet, I had to stop and ask her. My kids look for her now, because she is kind and patient with my little skaters. I usually do not post reviews, however I felt the need to post about this place. Honestly, the staff was nice and friendly and helpful, however, I was really thrown off with the presentation. I noticed that in these reviews, the owner Shauna G. definitely has rebuttals to everybody's negative reviews however it does not seem that she has actually come to visit the building, at least not recently. The chairs were in horrible condition. They were torn, holes missing in the cushions, and falling apart. I asked the staff to remove just only the damaged chairs however, the party assistant stated that all the chairs were torn. It was very embarrassing to host a party to have not only children but adults to see this. I just moved into the area so it looks like I did not know any better about this roller rink and I will never book again. Please do not waste your $450 +4% card charge to book a party here. read more

This is our second trip to Epic Rollertainment. We've had a lot of fun and had 2 great experiences so far. My daughter has expressed an interest in learning to Roller Skate because of her time here. She just had to first class today and it was pretty good. I know they couldn't do much more than what they were able to with the size of the class. The only reason I'm not giving a full 5 stars is because they don't have any membership options. I would love to continue to have my daughter do classes here, but it isn't feasible to maintain visiting consistently without some type of monthly membership. A "family membership" option would be even better! Id love to make this an entire family affair consistently. read more

I went Wednesday night (18+) -$12 admission (I brought my own skates). I arrived with an hour only to skate because I'm working on being punctual :) but seriously, the set up is dope! Perfect for a date or to even bring the little ones. Inside is huge! Bar area I believe , seating everywhere, and I think also an arcade. 4/5 because I want nights specifically for 21+ not just 30+ or 18+ like don't forget us millennials we tryna find love too! My daughter absolutely loves to roller skate but unfortunately I will not be bringing her back here. The staff's attitude in general was extremely off putting and rude. They truly made me feel like an annoyance rather than a valued customer. Only one employee was kind and had good customer service when I asked him for help. I was also told to take our water bottles back to our car and could not keep them even though I'm breastfeeding and need to keep hydrated as well as my daughter who's skating. This place is rad! They have a mini bar with beer and wine, my kind of place. There was a couple in their 50s dancing while skating I couldn't take my eyes off of. They had so much swagger and stylish moves! I had hip surgery so I was a little uneasy on my skates but I didn't feel like I was a nuisance to other skaters, everyone was respectful. I know this space gets busy and sometimes a hassle to check in especially when it's opening time, cashiers get backed up to pay and getting situated with rentals etc but I have to commend Marsha who was working on the rink. She noticed my 12 year old daughter was having a really hard time getting the courage to skate and she was gently crying. She gave her extra special attention, and tips on how to get started. I appreciated her so much as I had a younger daughter also close to meltdown and couldn't be two places at once. We had so much fun here!! Just your good ol' nostalgic skating rink, nothing fancy here. Music playing with music videos on a projector screen, disco lights. Arcade games on the side too. Food includes your good ol' nachos, cheese pizza, fries. Etc. Skating sessions come in 3 time blocks. Prices are great ($26 for two people + rentals). Not a kid friendly place which really sucks. They charge for every person that comes in no matter if your skating or not. The roller skates are old and dirty. They don't have the assisted bars for kids that are trying to learn to skate. They charge for locker usage. This is more of a teenager environment Don't recommend if your child does not know how to skate by themselves. We obtained a refund I asked the guy in the front which he was very nice about. Then the manger came and she was like I can't it's been more than 30 minutes good thing I had the receipt which showed less than 7 minutes there. She did have an attitude when she was doing the refund But she has to be more understanding as why we asked as parents of two kids. Based on excellent yelp reviews I decided to bring my daughter and her friends here for the Friday night club skate for her birthday. I want to warn other parents that this "all ages" night is very much adult themed. I was able to look past the fact that 90% of the people were maskless (because we are vaccinated and kept our masks on). I also ignored the weed smoking in the bathroom, but what I wasnt prepared for was a full on brawl within an hour of arriving. Men punching woman, security being thrown to the ground, and bystanders being hit with flying objects. The security was ill prepared to handle a fight of this magnitude so the police were called and the rink was shut down. After all that, the facility ignored my request for a refund. I paid 75.00 to have my children's health and safety be placed in jeopardy. If anyone was injured and is seeking video or photos from the incident please message me. If any staff felt they were in an unsafe work environment I also have video proof for that. I spoke with an officer before leaving and he said we can call him directly with complaints/evidence of events. I believe there are enough people involved to file for a civil grievance against the company and get a return compensation. Thank you. Response to owner: Thank you for reaching out. this is a great place me and my kids had so much fun I would recommend it if you were planning something fun

It's a good environment with great lighting and sound as well as a friendly staff. There's also a food stand with good food as well as alcoholic drinks. The rental skates are not great but they work, when are they ever great? The rink itself is a good size with lots of room and plenty of seating around it. I would say the only real con is the music. It's the only reason they don't get five stars but it's a pretty significant piece of the pie for me. I've never heard most of the songs they play as I do not typically listen to that genre but what songs I do know they never play. This holds true anytime I've ever been there. Even the 80s and 90s "Family Night" on Saturday is all just Rap from that era. It's not even the good Rap from those days, it's more like stuff you would hear at a wedding, (think The Humpty Dance) Anymore I just bring headphones so I can get some variety with better songs. They should have at least one night a week for country or oldies, maybe even some 80 glam rock, then it would be some Epic Rollertainmen! read more

I will start this off by saying we have gone here twice, and I can't believe this place actually charges a bystander admission to sit there and watch your kids. Apparently you can't go in and out as an adult without having to pay admission multiple times according to them. Apparently they are too afraid you may be eating or drinking water in the parking lot it seems. We went there a little while ago, and the only reason they got two stars was because my kids enjoyed rollerskating. Then I go to read the reviews of this place afterwards fyi having a price for a bystander admission is one of the biggest complaints The owner claims it's an experience OK. I'm trying to figure out what experience that is because it's not that hard to press play on a playlist, try to get the kids to skate backwards and around, and their snack bar was subpar at best. Also, the music selection was questionable in itself. Also, variety goes along way. I would say I don't know why they don't let you bring food in, but we know it's to force you to buy their pre-frozen, freezer burnt tasting food. Venus part about the snack bar was the skittles, and slushy. Their cocktails are wine based which are gross, but at least they had beer. I don't know if I would recommend this place, and I think if somebody asked me I would just say blah. I guess it really isn't that bad if you are a teenager, and want to go skating with a couple friends and you don't mind eating pre-frozen stuff at a premium price. read more

This review is long overdue. I've only been to this place one time and that was back in mid-December 2020. I live in OC so driving all the way out here unfortunately is a big stretch for me, otherwise I would be here every week. I loved how they were giving skaters the option whether to wear a mask or not & that is the reason I went there because I cannot and will not wear one. I had so much fun that evening, I felt like a little kid again, feeling so playful, part of a community with like minded people enjoying the same exact thing. I had a smile on my face the entire time that my cheeks hurt, but in a good way of course. I refuse to go to local skating rinks because they mandate masks and infringe on my body and my rights. I hope to make it out to Epic again - I just need to dedicate myself to the drive, especially late at night returning home. All employees who skate do NOT watch the skaters. They are more into dancing and showing off to there friends. Now i guess they no longer allow you to bring your own water bottles. They make sure the water fountain is low and barely spits out water to ensure you spend money here. The employee at the front desk told my 10 year old she could not being in her water. Also, Its an additional $10.00 to sit and watch yr kids skate and you cant leave the building. I was gonna eat some food but not after spending $10.00 just to enter the building. Lol. I guess the $10.00 is so they have an exact head count for the building so instead of taking count they make an excuse to charge $10 just because they are struggling. No problems checking in. The food stand there was delicious. Not overpriced drinks either. We just visited this rink on the way home from vacation. My daughter has been desperate to go skating and we don't have a rink close to us unfortunately. The service was amazing and the rink is very nice. I wanted to give a special thank you to Nia, the manager, for helping us when we were having issues (we are a family of 5 and 4 had never been skating before - you can only imagine the issues, lol). We frequented this place pre covid and went for the first time last week. I don't think it's fair for parents to have to pay $12 to watch their kids skate. Also, they raised their prices significantly at the snack bar and also got rid of free refills (poor parents). It shouldnt cost $50+ to just walk in the door. The booths were a little run down and the music was too loud. You couldn't even hear someone talking in front of you. We need places like these for the kids during the scorching summer months... I went here on my birthday a while back and came back extremely upset after a terrible experience with an employee. I went on the adult night with a friend of mine to have a great time and skate, however that was not the case. As I entered the rink with my friend, who isn't as experienced as me, I noticed she was struggling to get in so I turned around to help her. It took maybe a minute at most, I personally didn't see an issue with it. That is when an employee immediately came over and told us that "beginner" skaters must not hangout on the railings and have to "practice" outside of the rink. I thought the way he worded it was a little rude, but shrugged it off and I let him know I am not a beginner and that she only just needed help getting in. He made a face and then skated away. About three minutes later the employee came up to us again when he saw us skating alongside the railings of the rink, he repeated himself once again that "beginner skaters have to be outside of the rink", so we found that rude and exited the rink where she ended up changing her skates since that was the cause of her struggling to skate. After she switched into more comfortable skates, I practiced outside the rink with her for some time before going back into the rink. Once we were ready we went into the rink quickly and I did a lap before I slowed down my pace and quickly turned my shoulder to see if she was right behind me. That's when the same employee came up to me and said that I can not be a "beginner" skater in the rink. I pointed out to him how I noticed he wouldn't go up to other people who were sitting in the middle of the rink and hanging out on the side of the railing for over five minutes making phone calls, talking, etc. his excuse was "well I didn't see them." Yet he saw me within 15 seconds after I slowed down to look over my shoulder? That's when I got upset and told him how it's ironic he only sees me. He cut me off mid sentence and said to me "whatever, I can't do this with you ma'am" then scoffed and skated away to gossip with another employee. I saw them both looking at me and laughing. At that point I was so uncomfortable and just packed my things and left. However, before I left I asked other employees for his name since I wasn't able to catch his name tag, but they refused to give it to me. They stated that giving his name away is "confidential information." If giving me his name is confidential information then why do all the employees have name tags? My friend and I were extremely upset, so the very next day I called the manager and told her about my experience. I told her how I felt I was being outed and maybe it could've been because I don't look my age. I am a 22 year old adult, however I look extremely young for my age, regardless of that I feel I should be treated the same way as everyone else. She totally dismissed my concerns and said "he's one of our longest employees and is such a nice guy!" As an apology, she offered me free admission the next time I go, but that is not why I called, I do not want free admission. I would've appreciated it if she could have a talk with him and to train her employees to be better. I've been coming here for many years, spending my valuable time and money because I used to enjoy doing so. Years back the atmosphere and music were enjoyable. I would recommend this place to friends and take them here. Now its ratings have declined drastically and I can see why now, as it has gone totally downhill with the employees being extremely rude and the music honestly sucks.
