My husband took me here as a surprise. I LOVE softball so I was really excited to go here. The place is not bad. We did a reloadable card to start which would have been a rest great option if people would read the rules and stick to them. You are suppose to do two swipes and then let the next people go, then you go back to the end of the line. That absolutely did not happen. People were buying the cards because it's cheaper and then dominating the 3 cages they have for drop ins. We waited for 45 minutes. I think it would have been helpful if a staff member was located down there to ensure that patrons are following the rules. If no one is down there, you will legit never get a turn. Since we didn't get to actually use the drop in cages. We then just decided to buy a cage for a 1/2 hour. So we went back the counter flipped our card into the cage so now we went from 40 dollars to 75. We got two buckets of softballs and what seem to be like fake softballs that when you place into the pitching machine they fling all over. For the amount of money, it was definitely not worth it. The female CSR was extremely nice and very helpful. The male seemed to be slightly bent that he had to change the machine from baseball to softball. However, I get it. It was Friday night and super busy. However, the change out took so long that we actually only got 20 minutes of our 30 minutes because the other people were not told that we had 10 more minutes. I would not recommend if you just want to drop in and hit some balls. To end on a positive, if you are a coach of a team, a membership would be very beneficial here.

87 degrees inside!!! All A/C units are off!!

The facility is great but the last several months I've been here the A/C has never been on. Today your thermostat is showing 87 degrees inside. It's only going to get worse as the summer continues. I understand trying to save money but you can't run a business like this. I pay for a membership and almost $80 for an hour lesson in near 90 degree heat inside with no air movement.

We drove the hour to come up from San Diego to Temecula to visit this park and spend the day with littles. Arrived at noon on a weekday, and the team was very informative about their lunch time closure and process. Check the city website. They do have great information and details there as well. I love that things were fenced off -- both around the playground and again around the splash pad -- to moderate the number of folks entering and exiting. The team working there is very kind.. keeps a good eye on the littles (parents do need to enter with the kids).. and do moderate the number of folks to avoid over crowding. This splash pad is associated with the Margarita Community park (https://www.yelp.com/biz/margarita-community-park-temecula) but the splash pad itself is listed separately with the city. I wanted to recognize the great job the team working the splash pad did. It's not huge.. but it's just right for kids up to early elementary. Mostly for the littles in attendance are of the age where they are just discovering their walking skills and can enjoy the splash of water on a hot day. The other kids weren't too crazy or rambunctious.. so I felt safe. Parents that day (weekday during school hours).. did pay close attention to their own children to keep everyone in check. There is one outdoor shower post to rinse off (the water is highly chlorinated -- or has a smell like outdoor pool water). Not much shade so definitely bring the sunscreen and hats. Recommend water shoes... even though the ground was clean and paved, the ground does get a bit toasty and it's just safer imo. They run in 55 minute increments to then shut the water off. and give the space a break and refresh the crowds. Once school lets out.. it does get more crowded in both the park and the splash pad. I believe the splash pad (as well as the surrounding park) are ADA accessible which is fantastic. I'm happy to see that all friends, of all abiliites, are able to enjoy fun time in the sun! Lots of fun.. and wish we lived closer!

There is a huge grass field to the left of this picture and plenty of shaded tables to the right of the pictured area. There is a bathroom available but it is porta-potty style. The park is well kept and always clean. Due to the amount of mature trees in this park there is always plenty of shade no matter what time of day you are here. I can see this being great for parties but keep in mind it's street parking so it is limited on the amount of cars that'll fit. There are slides for all age groups as well as climbing areas for all difficulty levels. The disk swing in the center is a huge hit with all the kids and when more than a couple families are here there is always a line for it. One nice thing I have noticed, usually you can hear frogs chirping in the bushes. It's a really cool sound that makes you feel far outside the city and is really enjoyable:) Come check this park out for yourself, it'll quickly become a favorite!!

Very competitive league and play. Depending on what you are looking for in terms of your child…read more(development, competitiveness, or just to have fun) would determine if Murrieta Valley Pony in my opinion would be good for your child. I brought my kids over from little league as I wanted them to develop more and needed a more competitive atmosphere. The drawback and only reason I rate a 4 stars is because the parents tend to be a bit to rowdy and forget that these are kids playing. There has to be a bit more accountability in terms of parents in my opinion. This year while at my 9U sons playoff game a parent was heckling our teams kids?!?! To top it off the parent was related to the opposing teams coach. Several times the parent was warned starting in the first inning from umpire until finally in the 5th inning we as parents got up and told the guy to shut up and a fight almost broke out and finally the umpire (which I also heard was the league president) finally kicked him out. Once he left our kids and us as parents were finally able to enjoy the game. The league especially if the umpire was the president should have kicked the guy out in the 2nd inning after he wouldn't stop even after being warned by the umpire in charge. Either way I'll rate the league again next season and see where we stand then.

It's a sad day when you have to make plans to wash your car around the games. I've always had to think....Hmmmm, will I have to park at Pony Fields, after I wash my car???? If you do, don't bother cleaning it because it will come out dirty. There's probably about 100 spaces in the fenced in paved area with ONLY 3-4 handicap spots. Get here early if you don't want to drive your fancy car onto the dirt and pot-holed rocky filled, dirt lot. You can also take the chance of parking on the street but trying to unload Littles and baseball gear and crossing the busy street, WILL add to your stress and challenge. Pony fields sometimes charge a fee to enter. I don't know why. It's not a park worth coming into. What can I say? It's dirty, dusty and no shelter from wind or dust storms that seem to pick up every single night we are here. Trees are few and far between so bring your EZ Ups and be prepared to batten them down. It's windy here and will catch you off guard. I think the owners of this field need to invest some serious money and rebuild this park. The outhouses scattered about in the field are always so STINKY! When the wind picks up, trust me, you will need nose protection. It is unbearable. It probably isn't healthy to breathe this mess. Poor kids running around this field come home and need to be dunked in a tub. It's that dirty. True. It's a baseball field, but for those of us NOT playing baseball, spectators.... we shouldn't have to feel we went through a dust storm, at every visit. Do not park along the backside of the fields or you will get hit. So that takes away about 10-15 paved spots. On the plus side, the snack bar is reasonable. There are a few wooden picnic tables. Also, hilly patches of grass to sit on. Don't plan to lay a blanket down anywhere for the kids. It's pretty dirty. Dogs and pets are not allowed! Starbucks, McDonalds, Chic-Filet, Jack in the Box, Walmart, Target, and many others, are within 3-5 miles. In the 23 years I've lived in Murrieta, I will say this is the worst baseball park I have taken the kids to. It really needs to be improved. No stars would be my best rating. I am forced to give it 1. Really not deserving of even 1.
