They have a banner on the outside of the building that gave a good photo backdrop to match the pirate themed room. We booked a 12:45 "Lost Treasure of Topsail" room and got there a little early to use the bathrooms before we started. The bathroom was nice and clean, and the employee was very friendly. We were told we had to lock our phones up in the lobby area so it did not interfere with the technology in the room, but then they gave us an iPad to use in it. The iPad was used to unlock the room and start the clock, but that was about the extent of the technology that was used in the room. Without giving away any clues, I'll just say we were not impressed with any of the puzzles, it felt as if all but one puzzle was controlled by the host and not by actually triggering an opening. We've done a ton of escape rooms over the years, and while this gave us something to do to escape the hottest part of the day, I don't see us doing the "Lost Treasure of Topsail" room again. Hopefully the other room and the outside escape are better and something we could try later on.

Overall it was a good experience…read more Start times are staggered for different rooms so you don't have to interact with other groups. There's a large waiting area with a bathroom and a puzzle for while you wait. The staff was very friendly and explained the rules well. One of the locks in our room didn't open so they paused our game time while they came and opened it, so it didn't affect our time. I was not at all a fan of the "group" clue we had in our "New Blood, New World" room, hopefully they don't have something like that in every game cause it totally killed the experience!!! (That's the only reason they didn't get five stars) We escaped the room with time to spare and got a button with our picture taken at the end. If we're back in the area again we will definitely have to try a different room.

I've been to about a dozen escape rooms now and came here with 2 families for the Pharoah's Curse…read more The room is dark and you're each given a lantern. The kids all took the lanterns, and that was probably a mistake, haha. I would have preferred if the whole thing wasn't in the dark (e.g. if we solved some clue and the lights went on it would have been AWESOME). Some of the puzzles were too much of a stretch, and that can be frustrating. But there were still some good reveals and everyone had a great time (though we didn't escape in time. However, it's because some of the puzzles were a bit illogical or went on for TOO LONG- I'm ok doing SOME math and SOME cipher decoding but when you're required to keep doing more of the same, it's just tedious). I'm still a fan of escape rooms but this one was just ok!

We went last Sunday to watch the Steelers play at 1 pm. We ordered food like always, I got a baskets of burnt Kettle chips that cost 8.99, I also bought 6 wings which cost 11.99,both were over cooked, band when I got home about 4 hours later I was sick....threw up. My husband and my bill bill was 60. Bucks for an overdone shrimp basket and overcooked kettle chips and 6 wings. Plus 2 beers cost us 60 dollars. We have been watching football on Sundays since they opened, Jon was our bartender the food was great. I regret that we may still go to watch football because all our friends our there, but we will never eat there again. We knew Connie the 1st Manager, bshe or Jon would never let this lack of service or the horrible food come out of the kitchen. I saw all the pizzas Joday was delivering to tables they were butt overdone. Sorry the food is horrible and overpriced. 8.99 for a basket of kettle chips, and 11.99 for 6 overcooked horrible wings that gave me food poisoning. I do not know what happened but we will never eat there again. Sorry for this review but it cost us 60 dollar s for an overcooked shrimp basket, Kettle Chips and 6 wings, plus 2 beers.
