Awful food and service . It was really good when it first opened but now they just have a bunch of kids running the place and it is really bad. Several times when I have ordered Cajun fries they will give me regular fries at the drive thru and when I check once I get home it's not worth it to drive back. The patties are soggy and not well cooked half of the time. This evening I ordered a classic single patty and one large Cajun fries and a small Cajun fries at the drive thru. I even mentioned about the fries not seasoned and to ensure that I was given cajun fries , she said she would make sure. I Waited 20 mins to get the food. There was no car in front of me or behind me. When I got to the window no one was there. The burger was undercooked and the fries were over seasoned where I couldn't even eat it. It was so salty. Clearly the employee doesn't know what is the right amount of seasoning required for these fries. Service and food was a 0/10 for me. My first time at Epic today for lunch, and while it was less than epic, it was actually pretty good. Here are some thoughts: --This has the feel of a fast food place. You order at the front and they deliver the food to your table. --The quality of the food is a bit higher than fast food quality, and the service was good. --I ordered the classic burger + fries for about $14. The burger was good, more bun than burger, but was smash burger style. --I had regular fries, which were good, my buddy had the cajun fries, and they were good, spicy. Extremely disappointing burger and way overpriced. Little flavor and struck me as just another very- slightly elevated fast food burger. Once and done for me. Much better burgers available at true joints like Brandt's Little Cafe or The Assembly, both less than 15 minutes away. read more

2/7/26 My son and I stopped at Epic Burger for a meal. We had not been there in a few months. We used the drive thru for our food. We parked and started to eat the food. The turkey burger was not like I remembered. The turkey patty was half as thin as prior meals. I would compare it to the thickness of a white castle burger. The toppings were sparse. My son had a double burger and that patty was equally as thin and dry. Both of his burger patties were thinner than a regular burger used to be. I'm not sure if they are cutting costs by selling a thinner burger, but the food was horrible. The prices were also raised! I would think if you were trying to compete with the new Chipotle restaurant in the same parking lot, you would do anything to keep a customer. Will Not be going back. read more

Family was split in what to select for dinner, half of us wanted mecucan the other half chose Epic Burger the new recarnate of the former Meatheads. So that side chose the following: Honey Hot Chicken Sandwich with Epic Fries, the other was Farmhouse Burger with Parmesan Cheese Fries & Sweet Potato Fries to share. This was all to go. Service was spot on, Friendly and we were offered water while we waited. The venue was updated from when it was Meatheads. Inviting location. Well, The family enjoyed the delicious food. I stopped for lunch. Nice clean ambiance. Seating inside and 2 tables outside. They have a drive through. I ordered a cowboy burger and fries. I loved three things, 1. The burger was cooked medium like I requested and was a nice size. It was delivered hot. 2. The fries were excellent. They were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. They did not taste oily so the cooking oil was fresh. Excellent fries. 3. Most of all, it was served hot. I got in the car and drove home in about 12 minutes and it was STILL HOT. What a blessing. I am lucky to have fries be luke warm when they are delivered at most fast food places. So give them a try. I am going back soon. read more

Epic Burger is a fast casual burger restaurant chain in the Chicagoland area. They recently expanded through acquisition of meatheads. The Barrington location has a drive thru and indoor seating; there is no outdoor seating at this location. The entry/front counter area is a bit crowded and can be awkward when multiple people are ordering at the same time. You place your order at the front desk and, if eating in, your food will be brought to your table once it's ready. There are two large digital menu boards to help you make your choice. Food takes about 10-15 min to get to your table, depending on the number of customers. We had the Double Epic burger, the beyond burger and fries. The double epic was put together well and had cheddar, lettuce, tomato, pickle, grilled onion, and Epic sauce on it. The flavor of the burger was bland but it was cooked well and had a good crisp. It was very messy and fell apart by the time I was done. I also got several pieces of gristle while eating it. With some better seasoning, this would have been closer to epic. Overall, enjoyable though. The beyond burger was similarly prepared but had raw onion rather than grilled. It would be better if they had the Impossible burger but overall tasted good. Fries stole the show and were hot, crispy and tasty. They are double fried which gets them extra crisp. The dining area was decorated nicely and was inviting. The huge picture of the burger on the wall was cool, but see if you notice what's wrong with the reflection of the egg yolk in the picture. The workers were friendly and accommodating. They have two unisex bathrooms that could use some remodeling. While they're not bad by any means, you can tell they are older and have not been updated from the former restaurant. They need a deep clean and some refreshing. Example...the caulking around the sink was dirty and not cleanly applied. Pricing is $30+ for two people. For the meal I mentioned, with only water to drink, it was just under $40 with tip. A piece of cheese for the burger was $1.29. Not the most expensive place around, but definitely not a steal. Overall, I recommend giving Epic Burger a try. read more

The fries are Epic. Decent burger but no big deal. A little pricey. $31.00 for 2 burgers, 2 fries, no drinks. If I'm looking to spend $30.00 on a burger lunch you can bet I'm going to Tracks in Cary. Meatheads is equal to Epic Burger--- maybe not, perhaps Meatheads was better. We drove up to order & the order taker had trouble taking the order. Then we waited 20 minutes with one car in front of us. Then came the drum roll......the toppings were incorrect & the hamburger was tasteless & over cooked. I was underwhelmed by the Epic Classic, fries and strawberry shake I ordered there this week, my first visit since they replaced Meatheads. Sorry to say that the burger was virtually tasteless. Loved Meathead's fries, but Epic's are coated with something. Not my thing. Like my fries au naturel. And the strawberry shake had very little strawberry flavor. A little fruity, but very bland. These days, you have to put pieces of strawberry in the mix. Did the drive-through, so can't comment of ambiance. Gotta pass on this place, unfortunately. read more
