Today, I went to the store for a repair and employees were tremendously helpful! They offer regular tune-ups/maintenance for different types of bikes, describe the bike and just ask for an estimate! I called other local stores and some were rude with overly expensive quotes; but at EPIC BMX they're experts on bicycles and provide affordable fair prices. I came in today to purchase a specific bike. A neighborhood BMX Cruiser. The guys specifically - Fu and Jesus had exactly what I wanted at the price promised. Even though they were going through some shop drama. Upon getting home I found the bike I bought had scratches on the under tube and Bottom bracket. I'm sure they didn't know. It was underneath. With the bike craze right now, we have come across a lot of bad attitudes at local bike shops. But not at Epic! Seriously the nicest and most professional crew! I wish I had known about them sooner. I came in to get my rear tube replaced. Even with being super busy, they took my bike in at had it done in less than an hour. I mean, they are working hard in there! I was super impressed with the service I received yesterday at Epic BMX. My girls and I were attempting to fix our bikes for an outing while the guys are away. We ran into a snag with one of them and I ran it down the street to Epic BMX. The guys working were super polite and helpful and offered to fix it AND drop it off at the house for me later that same day. Their prices were reasonable (when you throw in the small-town America feel and the integrity of their staff). Then Martha and her daughter delivered the bike as promised and even made 2 trips to get a part that was accidentally forgotten, as well as graciously allowing me to add to my order an extra inner tube. The service we received yesterday was exceptional and I will choose Epic BMX again for our fix-it needs. They are close, and they now feel like friends. Thank you, Martha and staff! read more

The people there made me feel like family from the moment I walked in. I've never felt happier buying anything. they torqued it for me they tuned it for me they made me feel good about my decision and didn't once make me feel pressured or forced. they showed me several pieces asked me how I rode. Let me test bikes and let me make my decision so that I would be happy with what I chose. As long as I live in Huntington Beach this bike will be serviced by them, checked by them. I will always go to them. I have never felt happier in my entire life with a purchase. And I have buyers remorse. Had 2 mountain bikes in storage for 5 plus years. I called a few other shops, but Victor told me to drop of off and I can have it by the next day. I dropped my bikes at 5pm for a much needed tune up and replacement of tires and inner tubes. Much to my surprise they finished all my work within 2 hours Wow that's fast service! Great family owned business and Phu the owner stayed open past the normal close time so my daughter and I could come by to ride the bikes home. I got a used BMX bike for my son and needed some parts to freshen it up. The shop down the street, Huntington Beach Bicycles, didn't have a lot of parts for small BMX bikes so they recommended Epic. I stopped in today and the young guy behind the counter (tall, long hair) helped me with grips and brake pads. He even installed them at no extra charge. I could have ordered everything online for a little less but I like supporting my local shops when I can, and I like knowing that the parts will fit correctly when I buy them. Rolled in to town on a Saturday afternoon with my 2 boys for my 13 year old's birthday. Looked up this shop before we came, long drive from Sacramento. Before we even fully got in the door, we were greeted by Ethan and another guy, didn't catch his name. My son is kinda shy and Ethan went immediately into go mode getting him sized with qualifying questions about his needs, desired riding style and such. He had the kid on a test ride within 5/10 minutes, and we were out of there within 20. Dope experience for my kids. We then went to the skate park the Huntington Beach Vans Skate park, where we got kicked out because it was closed... Very weird. We were supposed to leave Sunday morning, but instead went to Venice beach where the kid was able to ride all day. Even Rode out to Santa Monica pier. Got back to Sac at 3 am! Gotta thank my guy Ethan for the plug and helping make it an EPIC weekend. See what I did there! We will be back for a couple more bikes real soon! read more

wow. I came here because I was told they had the discontinued parts I needed. They did. The thing that shocked me most was they shopped prices, then gave me the best deal. The shop was zero pressure, laid back, non snobby and willing to talk to me. It doesn't matter what you ride these guys will help. They understand that everything is a matter of preference and dont look down on you for not wanting to go mainstream. You can tell they are in business because they love the sport. I just discovered this shop recently and I gotta say its pretty rad. Tire selection is maxed out, tons of knee pads, grips, pedals, frames... you name it. Helmet selection was a little light. Anyways, these guys just set me up with a sick Colony gyro system and some grips for my BMX. I am stoked. The prices were retail, but what do you expect? Its a business. I always go to Epic for my BMX parts and they are always so helpful. Today I had a different experience. I went in to get brakes installed and they had to do a little extra work to make it happen for me. I greatly appreciate that but they then told me I had to buy new grips because they had to take the grips off to put the lever on and those grips couldn't be reinstalled. Funny thing, the brake lever is a 2 piece lever and didn't require the grips to be removed. I would have been fine correcting the throttle grip myself later. In addition to that, they installed the lever upside down so now I look like I don't know what I'm doing. Usually great experience but today was different. read more
