Called in the morning and got a price quote and estimated time. They said they could get me out before closing if I got there in an hour. I biked over for a tune-up on a bike I haven't ridden for 10 years, a rickety experience. Staff was friendly and told me it would be one and a half to two hours, and gave recommendations for an excellent taco place when I asked for a good food spot. Came up an hour and forty later, with them steadily working on it. Took a bit longer, but only because they were putting an incredible amount of care and detail into the process. Ended up being five bucks more because of some worn parts that needed replacing, and I bought some new lights while I was at it. Riding home was like riding a completely new bike. Absolutely recommend this spot. read more

My brother referred me to this business since he took his bike here a few years back and had a good experience. I called and was able to drop off my Bicycle within 30 minutes and received a fair quote on a tune up and minor fixes to my bike. I left my bike overnight and was able to pick it up the next day. There was an additional issue with the bike but he gave me the option if I wanted to fix it. I liked that he gave the option of being there before fixing the additional issue but I said go ahead and fix it. Overall a good experience and will keep supporting small businesses. read more

Took it into GC Bikes they were so helpful and fair they have a customer for life. FYI- Their location is about a mile east of the Santa Ana River Trail at Edinger so if you have a issue when your on the trail go there and you will be back on the trail in minutes. read more

I would give them 6 stars is I could. Let me tell you why: I came in to have my tires fixed. It either had a leak or needed new tube. I had $8 in my pocket and during my short wait, I googled up atm machines near me just in case they did not accept credit cards. The repair person told me, you'll need a new tube, $4, and service is additional $3. Wtf did I just hear correctly!? Sure it was quick service but I'm almost certain anywhere else, I'd be charged a heck of a lot more and likely had to wait for long periods of time. Maybe even had to drop off and pick up. I will support this bike shop with all my, and my family's bike needs. These are the most honest and hard working shop around. read more

Horrible place, the staff there are rude the shop steward stole my bike star. Replaced it with a new one knowing mine was a 100% original schwine and said that's how it was! Another time I went in there for a bike tire and they swapped out my rim for some crappy old one and denied it! They are crooks!!! Never again!!! read more

This a great little bike shop in Santa Ana. No frills, nothing fancy but they get the job done! I needed repairs on two of the bikes for my kids. 1 needed a new hand brake and the other needed the back wheel/brakes re-aligned after I messed it up while trying to adjust the position of the tube. Almost immediately as I parked, one of the guys outside the store offered to help me pull the bikes out of my vehicle. They got started with repairing the bikes right away. By the time I went to the ATM to get cash and returned to the shop, they were done with 1 bike and almost done with the second bike. Overall, within 30 minutes, both bikes were like new! Their repair rates (and part prices) are significantly less expensive than bike shops in Irvine. Will definitely come back to GC Bikes in the future. read more

I called in to see how much it would cost me to assemble a new bike. They gave me a price of $25 for assembly. When I dropped it off they told me it would be $40. Amazing service. Ms. Castillo was incredibly welcoming and hospitable. Her and her mechanics were informative and helpful. I went in knowing nothing about my bike other than it needed new tires and grips. They replaced the inner tubes to both tires and my grips in twenty minutes. The bike mechanic even spent an extra ten minutes with me to explain how to put the tire back on and make sure my brakes were connected properly. Affordable and efficient, neither of them tried to sell me extra parts or "fix" a part of my Trek that I did not ask for. I couldn't have asked for better service from a bike shop. These guys are nice but don't bring your expensive mountain bikes here to get fixed. They only know how to work on cheap bikes. They tried to fix my bike but cut my chain more than they need too and it cost me 100 dollars for the chain. They didn't charge me anything for not being able to fix it. Ended up going to Walmart. Recently was in need of some parts and decided to give them a 2nd try even though my friends warned me about their bad experiences here. (Im all for the mom and pops stores). Boy did this guy not disappoint. Bought a few new parts and 1 used one. Told me to go back if the used one didn't fit and he would give me store credit. When I went back though, he was trying to give me half of what I payed. Told me I was trying to swindle him. I was even trying to buy more parts with the difference.
