Shady business practices and over billing!! I came in to get a normal cleaning and X-rays. Everything to be covered under insurance. When I went to leave I was told they did an "inflammation cleaning". That wasn't brought up during the visit and especially for over an extra $100. Now getting an additional bill in the mail. They tell you one thing in the beginning then charge you extra after the service when you can't do anything about it. I'll be taking my business elsewhere moving forward. read more

Dr.Patel is the kindest dentist I've ever come across! He is so gentle and genuine. I'm terrified of dentists and I had neglected my follow up for a couple of years. I went to his office in February for an emergency appointment for my wisdom teeth on a Saturday and they saw me the same day. Now 7 months later I've completed my much needed maintenance and I feel completely comfortable going to their office. Dr. Patel even provided headphones for me to use during my appointment bc the sound of the tools scares me. Why would I give a place one star? I will tell you. It took me some time to cool off before logging into yelp and finally taking the time to actually yelp about my experience. I came here for a consult. The bottom line is that I was told it was a FREE consult over the phone. I thought this was awesome as I wanted a second opinion. I wanted to make sure Dentist #1 wasn't trying to bamboozle me. Well, I was in there and he wasn't even looking at my teeth. I was like, um, how is this a consult if you aren't even looking at my teeth? Well, long story short, as I'm checking out, I get bombed with a $90 consult fee. My free consult was not free the moment he looked in my mouth. To make matters worse, I was never contacted with the actual consult results. He was supposed to get x-ray copies from dentist #1 and well, who the heck knows whatever happened. I sure don't. Buyer beware, bait and switch practice going on here. Don't come in thinking your consult will be free. It's just a meet and greet that's free. Once he looks in your mouth, he'll charge you. I had no insurance of course, so the whole basis that it was a free consult is what got me in the office. When I looked at the receptionist that day she was like, "I didn't know he was gonna look at your mouth!" In other words, don't blame me! Not my fault! People, if it's too good to be true, it is. I got bamboozled by this office. And yes, I looked at all the rave reviews here, and that's what actually got me to call and make the appointment. I hope this doesn't happen to others, but at the same time, I don't know why I got the crap treatment. No such thing as FREE here! read more

Amazing Experience! I needed a tooth extracted for quite some time and waited too long to get it done. My tooth got really bad over a Holiday weekend and I couldn't get a single dental office to call me back to schedule an immediate appointment. I finally left a voice mail for Eola Dental and they called me back within the hour. The great experience didn't stop there. I lost a major filling in one of my front teeth and needed to find a new dentist. I called them that morning and they were able to get me in the evening. They accessed the situation and it turned out I needed a dreaded root canal! Dr.Patel, Kristen and his assistant(I forgot her name) told me what needed to be done thoroughly and I had the procedure done the next day. I was in major pain before but during and after absolutely nothing! They are very compassionate and really truly care about people and their well being. I will be back for the crown soon! Love love love this Dentistry. Dr. Patel is very kind, very patient, very thorough. He does excellent work , I had a slightly chipped tooth, now you can't even tell that it was chipped its no discoloring, not uneven and while he's performing any procedure he's always checks on the patient to make sure they're doing okay . How do I begin? My visit was four days ago and I have been in such awe that this is the first time I have been able to string a review together. Dr. Patel and his staff blew me away!!! I am new to the area having moved here from Massachusetts about two years ago. The dentist I have been seeing was referred to me by a co-worker and is just fine except that they always need to refer me out for anything other than a filling it seems. I'll get right to point, my wisdom tooth cracked and I was in that excruciating pain that it seems only comes from teeth. My dentist wouldn't touch it and the referral oral surgeon was not available for two weeks. So off to Yelp I went...a few places could get me in within a day or two and then I called Eola dental, I didn't expect to get in because they have almost perfect reviews and a long history of them. I spoke to receptionist who was so soothing it was like talking to my mom. How about two hours from now? I literally started to tear up as I was in such pain. I went in that afternoon and they were wonderful. Not only that but Dr. Patel was AMAZING!!! So gentle and caring, it was a pretty big procedure and he really set me at ease and made sure I was in no pain at all. The surgery part of this place was okay The price is NOT. Long story short I had my 4 wisdom teeth pulled they said it would be about $300 after insurance. I payed them that unfront in cash. About 2 weeks after my surgery I get phone saying I owe a extra $660. WHAT!!! how can thier math be that off. I understand that insurance doenst cover anything until they get a bill. However they do this for a living they should not be off by over $600. I was very displeased. I will nover go back for this reason alone and will tell EVERYONE I know not to go either. read more

Excellent experience. I had a bad tooth situation and I contacted Eola dentist Dr. Patel in Aurora IL. I have to say that this is the best dentists I have ever had. I needed a double root canal (two teeth alongside one another. (Upper)). I experienced absolutely no pain, Dr. Patel explain the entire procedure to me, and he was very caring to ensure there was no pain during a double root canal. And one even better than that I actually fell asleep while he was working on my mouth. I have never heard of having a root canal procedure especially a double root canal, and taking a nap all at the same time. Now today is the next day following my double root canal and I have no swelling, no pain and I'm able to eat cold food and drink cold water again. I'm very happy with this dentist. He even called today to check up and make sure that I didn't have any further questions. His office staff is very accommodating and works with you to work out appointments for the times and dates that are needed by you. They are professional and polite. I recommend anyone to go to Dr Patel at Eola dentist. When finding a dentist whose office staff is friendly and knowledgeable on insurance matters, and a dentist who takes time with you and works to ensure you experience no pain through a double root canal now that something to cheer about. read more
