Get ready to wait for a very long time. Specially with kids, they need to do better. Kids don't have patience to just wait for the treatment to even begin for 30 minutes or longer. But if you are more then 10-15 minutes your appointment will be canceled and you'll be charged. Doctor Khan is really good with kids. He does his best to calm kids down. read more

Unreliable, zero respect for patients, and the WORST ATTITUDE EVER, rude and condescending, in particular the Middle Eastern/Asian origin woman in the front desk. I do not understand how any of the dentists working here still have her as part of their staff. Which also speaks volumes in terms of how they manage their business and how little they care about their patients. This place will continue to loose clients because of her incompetence and lack of minimal customer service skills. This lady in the front desk makes and CANCELS APPOINTMENTS AS SHE WISHES without patient's approval. Showed up for my son's appointment this morning and it turns out the she cancelled the appointment because they decided 3 days ago to change their policy to cancel appointments of those who did not answer the confirm. I explained to her and even proved her, I was on a week long business trip out of the country without cellular service on my personal number. Never received a notice of the new policy or notice of cancellation in any other way, shape or form even though she had my husbands contact information on file, including email address for both. But she never even bothered to try any of the other number or means of communication listed on the chart. The most ridiculous thing she said to me was "YOU NEED TO INFORM US OF YOUR BUSINESS TRIP SCHEDULE regardless of when they." Instead of apologizing for not attempting to contact us on secondary number, or taking any responsibility and trying to accommodate us given the circumstances. Their policies change at any day, and they will not be holding themselves liable or accountable when they mess up your appointments or make last minute time changes without your consent. New: If you don't confirm, they will cancel. They add follow-up appointments without your consent. All of the sudden you receive a text- your next appointment is x day. LATE ARRIVALS AND NO SHOWS ARE OBLIGATED TO PAY A $75 fee! Which by the way, used to be $25 before. My husband was feed up of this place and switched dentists. He would get up to 3-5 calls a week on non scheduled visit days asking him to go in the middle of the day because they had an opening on their schedule they wanted to fill. He would tell them on the fist call he couldn't change his assigned appointment, but they would still continue to call asking the same thing over and over. If you made it this far on the review. Went here because my son has a cavity that I was concerned about. They cleaned his teeth which was nice even though I had only booked him for a consult. The tech was wonderful but the doctor is where it all went wrong. He told me my son has EIGHT cavities. Told them that I'd already booked my son for an appointment at his dental home and I'll be sure to mention this. Today I saw the regular dentist we always see minus the cleaning. He said he has ONE cavity that needs to be taken care of soon, but other than that he's fine. Once I explained to his regular dentist what the doctor from here said he did a double check for me. First off they have HORRIBLE staff, i made an appointment for 2pm and they called the day before to confirm that my appointment was at 1:15pm which the woman on the phone told me the doctors had a "meeting" so I showed up on time, and still waited until 2pm and wasn't seen! the woman who works at the front desk named Fatima is Very unhelpful, rude, didn't care about the situation, I told her I was unhappy with the service, and she gave me 3 different excuses as to why I wasn't seen at the agreed time. She then proceeded to tell me that I had an hmo insurance and that doesn't pay anything. She's extremely rude, uneducated and talks down to you. The office itself is dirty and unkept. The chairs in the waiting room are falling apart and when I went to sit in the chair to get work done, I noticed that the equipment was dirty and the light that goes above your mouth has spots that look like dry blood all over it. I have a very fearful child. This was the closest dentist that had gas, accepted our insurance and could get us in quickly. I was impressed with how detailed they were, making sure that my son was comfortable. They did some temporary work to get him out of pain and to see if that would work for the time being. I have often had to pay out of pocket to find good dentists for my family, luckily they are not only good but also work with my insurance!! We will definitely be back! read more

This place is a scam. My daughter went in there for tooth pain and they told her she had 7 cavities. After asking numerous times how much this was going to cost they gave her a price of what she will need to pay and what the insurance will cover She paid for it all up front. Receive a bill for an additional 100.00 after insurance paid their portion. This is not the first time this has happened to us. Time to find a new place. Staff is not friendly at all. Seems very irritated when asked any questions. The female dentist did not seem very experienced and did not make us comfortable at all. Please save yourself the headache and do NOT bring your children here. This is by far the worst experience I've had in a long time. The front desk receptionist are extremely unprofessional and extremely lazy. When you work in health care it is extremely important to genuinely care about your patients and their needs. My son needed two appointments to fulfill the treatment that he required. They offered me two separate dates but later called me and told me that their office is closed on one of those dates.....this was only one week prior to his appointment. Super inconvenient!! They did not try to accommodate my child by offering a different time or date. They stated that they would "call me if someone else canceled". I told them that this was a mistake on their end and that they needed to give me a date and not a false promise to call me when someone else canceled. They then attempted to schedule him THREE months out. Knowing that he needed medical attention sooner than that. Ridiculous! Also, when I took my child for his first appointment that he was thankfully able to keep, the doctor treated him but then told the front desk receptionist that he won't be able to work on him ever again because of his age. Why treat him once but then deny him the second time?????? Is it because he's a child and he had a difficult time with him? Or???? Sooooo confusing. PURE LAZINESS if you ask me. On Tuesday I took my 12 year old son here because he was complaining of pain. They got him in fast and did his exam and cleaning and scheduled us for Thursday to see Dr. Kahn. Dr. Kahn saw him today and was able to pull his tooth and my son had no problems at all. The staff gave my son the laughing gas and helped him feel comfortable. Dr. Kahn and his assistant talked to my son the whole time that they were working on him. After they explained the aftercare instructions and also gave me the prescriptions for my son as well. The assistant gave me son a cool ball toy and walked us out. The front desk staff scheduled us for the next appointment and was very kind as well. While we were there a couple of other pediatric patients were getting work done as well and Dr. Kahn and his staff were very patient and kind to them too! The other patients were younger and the doctor and the staff were talking to them and being very sweet the entire time. I am so happy that this place is around and offers all of the needed services. I am also grateful that they accept my insurance. I would definetly recommend people to come here and to bring their whole family as well! Thank you tranquil dental!!! If I could give zero I would. I have never had a worse experience with a Dentist office. I have dental insurance that covers 100% for office visit x-rays and cleanings. I took a day off of work since the office is only open 10 am - 6 pm which is when most people are working. I made an appointment for a Thursday afternoon I came into the office, met with the Dr. and got the x-rays. At that point the doctor then told me I was going to need a "deep cleaning" this of course is not covered by my insurance. It was going to be $300 and of course they could start right now. I said that I did not have $300 and would have to think about it. i then got a 20 minute lecture about how it was needed and I would regret not doing it. I left feeling quite upset. I called the office about a week later and asked if i could just do a regular cleaning while I saved up for the deep cleaning. I was told by the front desk they would ask the Dr. and call me back. 5 days go by no call. So I call again and speak to a Rosie. She says she will talk to the Dr. and call me back that day. 4 more days pass and no call again. I CALL BACK AGAIN! They say well I can do a regular cleaning but it is worthless cause it only polished the teeth and that I really need the deep cleaning. It has become obvious to me that this office does NOT care about their patients, their patients time or money. they are only interested in making money and charging for HIGHLY un-neccesary procedures. I went to a different office who stated that I DID NOT need the deep cleaning given that i am only 28 years old and did a regular cleaning. I WOULD NOT recommend this office to ANYONE! read more

I scheduled an appointment for my son 6 months ago. I received reminder text messages daily for 2 weeks about the appointment. I confirmed at least 5 times. One day before the appointment, I was notified the insurance could not be verified. I attempted to give the staff member the provider's number located on the back of my card. She gave me a spill about they weren't accepting the insurance. I confirmed with the insurance agency that the doctor was in net work. I requested the day off work. The staff member wasn't concerned with the huge inconvenience and didn't offer a solution. I've been taking my children here for 2 years and was shocked with the terrible customer service. I give 2 stars because I really like the actual doctor. I just don't care for how they do business and now I'll be switching dentists office in the middle of a half done root canal. I have been rescheduled 4 times. One time I scheduled my appointment and when I followed up it just didn't exist. It's frustrating because there appointments for root canals are 30-60 days out. So I had to reschedule for the next month. Then they called me a week before the rescheduled appointment saying the dr no longer works Mondays which is the day I scheduled. Then when I came for the next appointment a very very rude dental assistant tells me I need to pay $200 now or I can't finish my root canal. I didn't even know I had a balance and she wouldnt budge on the price. So I left with no work done. I called to speak to the one nice receptionist and she never returned my call. At this point I feel as though I am begging for their business and I have no choice but to leave. I am a family of 5 who frequently get their teeth cleaned there. They will be losing plenty of money. I have been a customer for over 5 years. It's pretty sad. I really tried to make it work. Now I have to find a new dentist to get use to. read more

My daughters had appointments directly following the dental exams and they performed the services quickly and efficiently in order to get them out in time for their next appointments. I would also give this place a zero if I could. DO NOT GO THERE! I had the exact same experience as the other person who reviewed Tranquil Dental. I had appointments for myself and my 2 teenaged sons. I am only 34 and have always had great teeth. My insurance covers 100% cleanings, x-rays, and other preventive procedures. They took my x-rays, and come back and tell me that I have to have a crown, several 'deep cleanings' and several cavities filled. Oh, and by the way, it will cost you $1,000. And also, while we are at it, your teenage son needs $600 worth of dental work and your other son needs $200 worth of dental work. When I told them that I just wanted a regular cleaning for both of my sons and myself and I would have to think about all of the work they were proposing, Rosie the receptionist got aggressive and basically told me that I would damage my teeth and have a lot of problems if I did not consent and get all this stuff taken care of immediately. Also, my husband had gone there a few weeks prior and they charged us $1,500 for his dental work that he needed, but he didn't dispute it or question it because he has always had bad teeth, so he thought it might be necessary. Now I wish we would have looked at it closer, because they probably scammed him. Anyway, so I told them that all I would consent to was the regular cleaning. I was told that they basically can't do anything but polish my teeth because if I don't consent to a deep cleaning, my teeth won't get clean anyway, so they will just polish my teeth. My youngest son didn't need a deep cleaning, but they still only polished his teeth too. When I questioned them about it and told them that I have never ever been to a dentist that only polishes your teeth, they stopped polishing my teeth and said the exam was over. So basically I completely wasted a dentist appointment and have to wait another 6 months for my insurance to cover another appointment. If I hadn't always had good teeth, I may not have questioned them and then been out a lot of money. As it is, I am out the $1,500 they charged my husband for procedures that probably weren't even necessary. I am going to also notify my insurance company about this and hopefully they will remove this place from the list of eligible dentists in the plan. It was THAT BAD. I will never ever return there and I hope that a lot of people read this review so that they can avoid the experience that I had. read more

I will never return there. They sent me texts and yes calls to verify an appointment but the text said if you can't make it let us know if not see you there. So I was able to make the appointment so I didn't see the point in texting them back because I would be there? I have to drive 45 minutes or more giving traffic just to get to this location. I arrived 10 minutes early only to have the receptionist tell me that they had cancelled my appointment because I hadn't responded? I took off work for this! And she was saying how there are patients in pain and we called them instead. How do you know I'm not in pain?! I have a terrible tooth decay and I am in pain. This place was nice the first time I came and now because of this new system I will never return. I was so enraged that the receptionist had the audacity to call me rude because I was simply telling not yelling my frustration at the fact I had made this appointment weeks in advance. I had high hopes for this place, but they let me down. They scheduled me at night, WITH EVERYONE ELSE IN AURORA!!!! I waited almost an hour for a checkup. The assistants were very nice, and apologetic, I thought they were very busy, found out that no, the doctors have poor considerations for the people paying money to them. While the doctor was doing my exam, her phone rang, and she got up, left to answer her phone. I ended up waiting 20 minutes for her to come back. the male Dr did the same thing. Then they end up talking on their phones while patients are waiting in the rooms. In the lobby, everyone complained about the time and they had screaming children in the back. it was such a headache. To anyone who wants an appointment with this office, make sure you have the whole day open, I was there almost 2 hours for an appointment that normally takes 45 minutes. 1 hour waiting for them to take me back, 30 minutes waiting for my exam, and 20 minutes waiting for them to get off their phones and back to me.
