This Dentist office is running scams on denied claims. My insurance denied a couple of services they allegedly perform. The office people told me I had a balance of over $900 on my account because the insurance company denied the claim. I never received a bill for the amount allegedly on my account. I am petrified of dentists PERIOD, END OF STORY. One week ago, I cracked my two front teeth. Petrified I booked an appointment with Ogden Valley Dental. I mentioned my fear to my dentist. She reassured me I would feel nothing. I can handle pain anywhere on my body, my mouth is my ouchie place. First, my upper gum was numbed, then came the injections. I grabbed the arms of the chair, but no pain. I received about 7 injections. Nothing, no pain. Then came the drill to grind both teeth, nothing again ZERO, NADA, NO PAIN. Let me just say my appointment was at 10:00 AM, I was in the chair until 12:45 PM. We have been trying to get my mother in law an appointment for over 3 months. Terrible customer service, awful representation and professionalism went out the window after our first time there. They have lost our forms we sent on multiple occasions and they have cancelled our appointments last minute when they are the ones that couldn't find the paperwork we sent into them. The doctors are great however, the front desk staff aren't. They never follow up when they say they will. They always give 2 or 3 different quotes as to what insurance covers and what I'll pay out of pocket. I used to get a written statement of benefits for each procedure required and now they don't do that. Probably because they can later come back and over charge you. Once they complete my implant I will find another dentist office because this one isn't it. They are so unprofessional. The front desk staff don't even greet you when you walk in the door. You walk in and there are 2 people at the desk doing nothing. They act like you're bothering them when you try to get checked in for your appointment. Ogden Valley I a wonderful dental practice. Their office staff is very friendly, flexible and helpful. Every dentist I have worked with with highly competent with a great bedside manner. But my favorite is the dental hygienist Vashni. My teeth are so sensitive. She is gentle and thorough and kind. I sincerely enjoy all time spent with her. I didn't receive any confirmation call to confirm my appt or give me an address after I waited a month to get my appointment only to be left sitting in the chair in their dirty back room for a hour before I had to go find someone to ask what was going on. Once the Dr arrived, he shoved his finger in my mouth and said we will have to remove the tooth during another appointment. He was very unprofessional overall. My first appointment was an hour wait and I had to reschedule. I would have preferred a call to give me the option to reschedule as Dr Atassi was running behind. To find out the new person (front desk) added me in as a new patient, not to see the oral surgeon. My time is valuable too. Second appointment, Dr Atassi enters the room, does not speak to me nor acknowledge that he is in the room to assist me. He didn't explain what he would be doing today or ask me to open my mouth, he just pried my mouth open! After examining my mouth, he looked at the X-ray and walked out. Ha! I looked at his assistant and asked is he done? She said yes and that I needed to wait for a treatment plan. I listened to him brush off a lil old lady questions as if she was bothering him. She was really concerned about her tooth as she had a lot of discomfort. Just sad. I scheduled an appointment but decided I will take my teeth some where else. Learn some bed side manners. Took daughter for cleaning. She has a rather strong gag reflex. While he did get her teeth nice and clean, he screamed at her the entire time. I could hear him shout "Relax!!" from the waiting room. It continued the entire visit. Shouting at a child will hardly help them to "relax". I will never ever go back. Added to the fact the staff was rude for both the phone conversations and office visits. -- and while I was waiting, they had a conversation about a patient who had called and spoke badly of her in front of the patients waiting. I been to this location 3 times and each time the dentist before no longer worked there. Now I don't know about you, but to me that's a BAD SIGN. On my most recent visit the assistant was completely clueless and needed to be corrected by the dentist on numerous occasions. I understand if someone is in training but this was extreme. The reason why I refuse to go back is because of the terrible job they did on a routine filling. It hurt for weeks! Not only that, the contact is so bad I HAVE to floss after I eat ANYTHING. Tight contact at the top but not by the gums so I have a gaping hole perfect for food to hide out. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh because my dad was an Orthodontist but I'm picky about my teeth. First off, I have the BIGGEST fear of the dentist, haven't been in 5 years and fret over the thought of even going. I went to my first appointment today with Dr. Priyanka and Hygienist, Nydia. I had a lot of build up and was nervous. They were the absolute sweetest people, made sure I was doing ok (they probably asked every 30 seconds), were very informative and gentle with the cleaning. I did have some painful spots so Dr. recommended some numbing gel. That did the trick and I actually had quite a pleasant experience. I am an adult and if you have any hesitation with dentists please go visit them. I cannot rave enough about my visit. I am so happy I went here, I could cry happy tears. read more

Went here for a cleaning. The office is a bit dated and it's located in a mini plaza. However, the equipment all seemed up-to-date, much better than some places I've seen. Overall, just not as nice ambiance as you'd expect in a Naperville-area professional office. That said, the doctor was very professional and knew her stuff. I have been going here for a number of years. The place was a pit when I started and it still is. I only go because of Katie and Dr. Rosh. Great professionals and I have no clue why they don't look for a nicer place to work. New customers you can go any where else and find a nicer office. I just visited Ogden Valley Dental again today. I had two cavities filled, and was once again impressed by how gentle and patient both the dentist and nurse are at this location. I truly don't mind going to the dentist since I started going here. Furthermore, my father in law had an emergency tooth infection yesterday and he took our recommendation to call Ogden Valley. They got him in SAME DAY, prescribed much needed antibiotics, and made an appointment to have the bad tooth extracted next week. Please don't listen to the bad reviews of this place. Don't even think about it. The dentist may be wonderful but the front office staff aren't even able to recognize a new patient! No appt reminders, wasn't told to arrive 15 mins early for paperwork and after arriving for my first visit, I sat in the waiting room for 15 minutes and was never given New Patient paperwork. They finally figured out they didn't have any info on me after they were getting ready to do x-rays! With the bib on, they hand me a clipboard, by the time I'm done filling that out, it's now 30 mins PAST my appt time and they tell me they still can't proceed until I'm entered in the system! I walked out and wouldn't go back. Being handed a clip board the minute you check in is normal protocall anywhere; if they can't manage that, I wasn't about to stick around to see what else was in store for me. read more

And, the experience was so bad it left me worried about going to another dentist. They schedule appointments, send you emails and post cards with one time, but when you get to the office they tell you your appointment was for a different time and won't see you and tell you to come back. Um excuse me, I just showed you the email on my phone and you expect me to come back later? After I've left work, picked up my son for the appointment and driven there. No can do. The front desk staff is TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. Even there response back to my complaint was less than stellar. WILL NEVER GO BACK. This is frustrating as I liked the dentist. Went here for an emergency visit when dealing with extreme pain in my tooth. Already a little irritated, I was not pleased with the reception. Nothing really bad, just no concern or sense of urgency. That all changed once the dental assistant took me back to the chair. She was kind, funny and gentle. The dentist was also kind and gentle. This place isn't new, and even looks a little dated, but I was in and out and didn't feel cheated or hustled when I left. The receptionist went above and beyond when it was time for me to leave, calling several offices to lock down a convenient referral appointment for me. I had no real problem with the services provided at Ogden Valley Dental, but it was the waiting which got on my nerves. I came here for wisdom teeth extractions at 11:30, didn't walk out until nearly 2! I understand that sometimes doctors have patients who run long, but I was left alone for almost 35 minutes with only two of my teeth removed. Doctor didn't do much in terms of talking me through the procedure as he did it, but was good about asking if I was experiencing pain. The whole procedure felt much longer than it needed to be. I am still healing but I seem to be on a good track to be right as rain within another week and a half. All in all, service was not outstanding, not horrible. read more

At one time, there may have been a dentist there who is now gone, perhaps because they weren't up to standards.
