After I declined it took another 20 minutes for my car to be ready. At checkout, I asked if they used Conventional oil. The guy said no and went to ask for help. Then I was told they could order conventional oil but it would cost $50 more. I asked if I now had to stay with synthetic, another guy said I could go back. I was always under the impression once you switch an older vehicle to synthetic oil and run it through your engine you couldn't go back to conventional. Anyway, Thanks to Tommy's looks like I'm using synthetic now. Won't be going back to Tommy's. Continuing my search for a reputable and reliable place to get my car serviced.

The AAA towing driver recommended Danny's Import, and honestly, that was some of the best advice I've received in a long time. I explained my situation, that selling my car simply wasn't an option and that I needed it running, and they gave me a completely honest estimate, one that lined up with what I'd already learned from Toyota's own diagnosis. I dropped my Prius off, and by the next morning it was running smoothly. Finding a trustworthy mechanic is hard for anyone, but as a woman walking in with no prior knowledge of where to go or who to trust, the experience could have gone very differently.
