Blue star called me and gave me a quote for $360, he explained that most businesses use the camera recalibration as an excuse to up charge and that he wouldn't be disconnecting any wires when replacing my windshield. I was a bit skeptical at first, I was worried I would have to go get my camera recalibrated. (I have a 2022 Honda Accord). It's been 2 and a half weeks since I had it replaced and I've had no issues, camera still works just as good! I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a cheaper alternative than giving your money to the dealerships. Everyone I spoke to was professional, they were on time, and kept me updated on their arrival. 10/10 would recommend their services

Later in the day a 2 other stores submitted quotes as well. The following day I received a follow up message from Technics offering no charge for removal and no tax on installation, I couldn't refuse such an offer. I drove over once the roads cleared and had the tint removed and new tint applied. They charged what they quoted, no haggling, nothing but great customer service at a great cost. We got his ADVISED message that the windshield is too dark to drive at night time, they will release us on Saturday 10:30. Sir! I told you I need my car on Friday! I gotta go work on Saturday. You couldn't give customers whenever the time you would like to release. There was also funny thing happened. Once they sent out us this message. This mother fxxker never picked up the phone. We were in the front of his shop for two hours. we can heard someone's walking inside of shop, but they didn't open gate for us. we even called police helped us. This lair still ignored our call and message. FUNNY AS FFFFFFUCK! On Saturday morning, we received a message that they stated our car is ready to pick up. Alright. My husband and my daddy drove another one hour to Roanoke. Let me tell you the other funny thing. Our old window tint was still on the window. Which means this lair didn't touch my car. Recently I got hit by some heavy road debris that unfortunately went through the ppf so I needed to get a few panels redone - of course I was going to go back to the original installer. The car looks better than ever - they touched up damage that went through the ppf before applying the new one and you can't even tell. I've also noticed that their ppf templates have gotten better over the years so that's a huge plus. Prices are fair and quality of work has actually gotten better over the years. If I could give him ZERO STARS I would!!…read more The original job was to replace my windshield that was severely cracked. He offered two options: dealership glass and after market. I asked what the difference is and he said only the stamp in the corner. I chose the after market because he said "I'd be very happy with it." Immediately after he replaced my windshield, I got an alert saying that my forward camera needed to be recalibrated. I messaged him asking about it and he said he didn't unplug my camera, etc. and then offered no support. The dealership said it would be $300 to recalibrate which I couldn't afford at the time. Well, I finally brought my car in because I can't get my annual safety & emissions renewal without the recalibration and they said that it's not the camera, it's the windshield itself. It's not compatible with my car's cameras because of some special gel that's required in the glass that acts as a filter. Therefore, I need to replace the ENTIRE windshield again plus the recalibration which will cost $1500!! All because of this business's negligence and misguidance. I reached out and explained everything to them and they didn't even have the decency to respond. Filed a complaint with Yelp but because this business isn't a part of the Yelp Guarantee Program, there's nothing they can do. Plus I paid in cash so my bank can't assist. AVOID THIS SCAM OF A COMPANY!! Edit: of course he responds after receiving a bad review, but only to insinuate it's my fault and calling me a procrastinator? Since I can't respond to a review reply, here's what I messaged him: Oh now you respond because you got a bad review? This has nothing to do with me having to wait because I couldn't afford to get the recalibration done. Mazda quoted my $275 for the recalibration itself but it has nothing to do with the camera. Even if they attempted to recalibrate, the glass is not compatible with these cameras, which you should have known. They said without the required gel and the clarity issues with this after market glass, it wouldn't be possible without a complete replacement with Mazda glass (whether I do it with them or third party). They even showed me on the glass you replaced how the gel was done improperly. So you can take your poor customer service and terrible work ethic and enjoy my rightfully bad review!
