Based on the experience I had during a Yelp Elite event we had at Enzo Custom, I told The Doctor that me and The Queen would be taking him there to get some custom shirts made for Father's Day. For the Yelp event, participants got a custom made shirt. I was so pleased with the process and the shirt (with French cuffs and my initials) that I wanted The Doctor to experience it as well. Located on the 3rd floor on Oak Street, you enter from the street straight to an elevator, which opens directly to the showroom. It is dimly lit but in a good way, with spot lights on the suits and ties. Enzo has a large selection of swatches of colors and different types of fabrics. What I didn't see during my initial visit was all of the beautiful custom buttons! Man oh man, so many to choose from and so many colors as well. Let just say that working with Mason is an absolute blast! When I made the initial appointment, I asked if it would be ok if I brought some bubbles for us to drink as I knew we would be there for a bit and Mason said absolutely and even provided glasses for us. Mason is so professional and very focus on details. I love the fact that he makes recommendations, but also listens to what the client wants. He was patience in the process and at no point did we feel rushed. While drinking bubbles, me and The Queen got to assist in the process of selecting colors, fabric and buttons...so much fun! We ended up settling on a lovely pastel pink fabric for one shirt and a blue one with a delicate pattern on it. Both are going to look great on The Doctor and I already have plans for the pink one for date night...both of us in pink and it will be glorious! This is definitely going to be a place that gets repeat business from us as The Doctor is now thinking of having some suits made as well as slacks. And The Queen and I are planning a visit in the Fall as that is when they will have patterns specific to women's shapes. Enzo Custom and SPECIFICALLY Mason G. was the best experience I could have asked for when shopping for a custom Tux for my Wedding. I had initial appointments with multiple custom tailors because the color of the tux (Deep Forest Green) was not easy or a common color to come by in your standard rental or Mens Warehouse type of store. After numerous initial appointments with other custom tailors in Chicago areas, I still was worried if I was making the right choice with a custom option, and if they would be able to match the color and style to the vision we had for our wedding. It was not until I met Mason, and at our very first consultation appointment at Enzo that I knew that this would be the BEST choice, in the end it was the ONLY choice. Mason is incredible, he is more than a tailor, we bonded over the big day and how I felt about my vision of the tuxedo style, fabric, and color. He not only saw my vision but matched the color and fabric precisely to what I wanted. His eye for the fine details, knowledge of fashion and tailoring, and personality and etiquette went far and beyond what was expected. He knew every single detail and measurement that he wanted to be better fitting or corrected or adjusted even just slightly. This was not just standard measurements, he contoured the tuxedo to exactly my specific measurements and body type, from my rounded shoulders to my bulkier thighs, he took every single inch into consideration and the result was absolutely incredible. Mason was able to make the experience truly personable, as well as beyond my expectations. This is a tuxedo I will make an excuse to wear as much as I can, even as a deep forest green. Dozens of our younger guests wanted to know who my tailor was, and I was more than happy to tell them it is Mason at Enzo in downtown Chicago. I am so so so grateful that I made the decision to go through Enzo Custom, from transparency of the sale, to timing of the tuxedo, to final alterations, they were clear cut and easy to communicate with. You walk into their beautiful Chicago showroom on the fifth floor overlooking Michigan Ave and are greeted with a variety of boogie drinks to heighten the experience. The owner/founded is vertically integrated, so he is able to offer the same high end fabrics as other much more expensive tailors at a drastically lower price. Update-to-date on the latest fashion trends, so tailors know exactly how to make everything fit (word of advice, listen to them. I thought the suit was too tight at first, but they assured me once the fabric sets and stretches a bit it will fit perfect- right they were!). This review is 4 years in the making. I have now purchased three custom suits from Enzo, and could not be happier with the final product. Having had no custom sartorial experience prior to my wedding, I took a chance after a friend referred me to check out Enzo. The amount of detail that goes into these custom suits based on all the measurements is borderline annoying, but quality of the end product speaks for itself. In full transparency, since this was all new to me, after my initial custom fitting experience in 2017, I checked out some competitors to see what they offer. Needless to say, I didn't end up purchasing anything outside of Enzo, and went right back where I have now been a faithful customer for years and purchased additional suits, shirts and accessories every year since. I have recommended Enzo to every person that has asked about my suits, and I will continue to do so (including you, reading this review right now). I even convinced my "old school" father, who could care less about fashion, to get a custom suit for his daughter's wedding. The Enzo team made the perfect customizations (including inner linings) on a time-crunch. Alexandra, Justin and the whole team really do make sure to go above and beyond in customer service. Honestly, I had the best experience at Enzo Custom - and it's all thanks to Alex! I wanted to get a tuxedo for my wedding, and after seeing how pricey they can get for something "off the rack", I decided to check out Enzo Custom. Alex really knows her stuff - she guided me through every single little detail when creating my tuxedo, and was able to answer every question I had. When it came time to have my first fitting, it truly fit like a glove. The quality of work and attention to detail really set them apart, and they are from now on my go-to place for getting "dress clothes". I came here a while ago, but figured better late than never. I had one custom white dress shirt made. Alexandra was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. However, I did not like the final product. Namely, the sleeves were simply too short. The waist fit well (which was what I worked with Alexandra to get right), but I suppose in focusing on the body fit the sleeves didn't get enough attention. In any case, I can no longer wear the shirt with a suit, as the shirt sleeves are shorter than my suit sleeves. And because I had to leave Chicago right after picking up the shirt, I didn't have a chance to go back and ask for it to be redone. Make sure to be careful and get it perfect if you're going to spend the money on a custom shirt. read more

Can't say enough good things about Enzo. Their custom suits are great quality with a reasonable price tag. It is also very easy to work with Alexandra. She makes sure to go over all the details of your sizing and options available for creating your suit. I bought a black suit from Enzo last fall for my wedding. It came back in a few weeks and we did another fitting to make sure everything was perfect. Very easy experience! Also able to take back if you want to make any adjustments in the alterations, but the fit is so perfect you won't need to. I just purchased a sport coat this week and I'm pumped to see that finished. No measurements needed because it's all kept on file. That will definitely not be my last purchase from Enzo! This is my second time purchasing from Enzo Custom suits and I couldn't be happier!! Sarah was very helpful and attentive to my needs. My buddies all warned her to be careful of the Cowboy boots guy cuz he is a lot to handle and she couldnt have been nicer!! I've purchased 3 suits and several shirts from Enzo and have been absolutely delighted with the product every time. I even bought my wedding suit from Enzo, which included a complicated, double breasted vest. What I like most about Enzo is their professionalism in their craft. Yes, they have an OUTSTANDING selection of fabrics. Yes, they have expert tailoring and construction. But what counts most - to me anyway - is that their staff help you find the look that you're going to be MOST flattered by and happiest with. That may mean nudging you to take some riskier design decisions with your suits or, conversely, going in a more conservative direction that you at first thought you wanted to - but you'll be happy to took their advice every time. Best Bang for your Buck! I am super late in reviewing, but continue to reap the benefits of having a custom tux in me wardrobe. Alexandra is knowledgeable, fashion savvy, and was able to match my personality to the styling choices for the tux. Here's the recap: I was referred by a connection who is a wedding planner in the city. At the time I first met with Alexandra, I didn't really have an occasion to wear the tux to, but knew I would eventually need one. Well low-and-behold in the time that the tux was in production to the time I was to pick it up, I found a gala event to attend. The tux is a perfect reflection of my style. Navy base, black satin lapels, a funky teal blue paisley lining, and little embellishes of color. The process includes a lot of decisions, some of which I never have even thought about, but with the help and guidance of Alexandra we were able to seamlessly and quickly navigate the choices. Of course, since they are building the garment for you, you'll need a little lead time between order and pick up, but it's well worth the wait. I will be returning to Enzo for any custom suiting needs, and continue to share my 'spif' at every opportunity I have. read more

I was referred to Enzo Custom by a friend who had a good experience at their Washington DC location. My husband was in desperate need for suits and off the rack sizing never works. I spoke with Emily on the phone to set up our initial appointment, she was super nice and helpful! Our appointment was scheduled with Alexandra who was awesome. She wasn't pushy at all, offered a glass of scotch, and began to ask about my husband's needs. She then went over measurements and talked about the fit he likes. She really listened! The customization and styling options are endless, we did a few little touches to make this suit unique. Alexandra walked us through all the options making it very easy for us to make our selections. The suit was ready super early and we could not be more happy. The look and feel of the fabric is excellent, the suit is very well made, and all the unique details look even better than I thought it would. The fit of the suit on my husband is the best I've ever seen him look. Alexandra was really attentive and thorough. She even recommended a small change to the pants, I didn't even notice, to make sure the pants were sitting on the shoe correctly. This was my first custom suits experience and it couldn't have gone better. I laid out all of the details for Alex about the wedding and she helped me pick the perfect suit for not only this occasion, but one that I could wear for others as well. I mostly deferred to her judgment since this was my first time, and I must admit, the suit looks and fits great. I never knew how much detail went into a suit, but literally (this word is often used incorrectly, but I know what it means, and yes LITERALLY) everything is customizable. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience working with Alex and she was fantastic. I will never buy off the rack again. I purchased a custom tuxedo from Enzo in Washington, DC. After two fittings, they sent me on my way telling me everything fit perfectly, but the shirt still felt incredibly baggy while the studs were popping out like crazy. So I decided to take it to Tony at Enzo in Chicago, and he immediately realized the shirt needed to be completely remade. He also made a few minor tweaks to the jacket (the vest and pants were perfect). It was incredibly disappointing that the DC location not only screwed up the shirt so badly, but let me walk out of the store thinking everything was perfect. Nonetheless, Tony and the rest of the Chicago staff are fantastic and I appreciated their honesty in immediately recognizing and rectifying the mistakes made by the DC location. My boyfriend does not like wearing a suit. His everyday wear includes black t-shirts and either jeans or black khakis. So, when I suggested we get him a new suit for weddings and other formal events, he was not very excited. Once I got him into the stores, everything he tried on was either boxy and too short, or way too tight in the waist. Even after talking to the store's tailors, it was clear we were not going to find the right fit off-the-rack. I decided we needed to step up our search. After talking to a few friends, we made an appointment at Enzo Custom with Alexandra. She was so awesome! We came in with a very definite budget, and not a large one, considering how infrequently my boyfriend would be wearing the suit. Alexandra went through the whole process with us, from start to finish, and let us know exactly what we could expect. First, we went through all the measurements, and she discussed the pros and cons of going a little more relaxed here, and a little trimmer there. Then we went over all the style and design choices. With so much to choose from, I was worried we (read: my boyfriend with his short attention span) would get overwhelmed. Alexandra discussed each detail, guiding and informing us about the differences between each choice. In no time at all, we had designed his new suit, even choosing the perfect lining! By the end, my boyfriend was more excited for the final product than he had been through the whole process! In a few weeks, the suit came in and we set up an appointment for a fitting. Even though Alexandra had prepared us to expect some small adjustments, it fit perfectly on the first try! We got to take it home that day, along with the shirt and tie we had decided on as part of a really reasonable package deal. I initially went to Enzo to try my first full made-to-measure custom suit. I had previously been buying off the rack suits which then required significant tailoring to get the fit right (or as close to right as possible). Upon trying on my first Enzo suit that fit perfectly, I immediately ordered two more. Both the fit and quality of all 3 is exactly what I was looking for. The selection of fabrics and styles will cover everything you could possibly have in mind from bold styles to traditional looks. If you see something on a rack or in a catalog, Enzo will be able to replicate it and improve it. The product is top notch but the service is even better. They take the time to walk you through each aspect of your measurements and all of the customizable options. More importantly, they listen to what you are looking for with respect to fit and price point while also offering their opinions on which styles will look best on you without the unsolicited sales pitch trying to get you to buy more. When they offer you a suggestion, its worth your while to listen. Alexandra and Arthur have the experience and know the end result will look better even if you are hesitant. They are great, trust them. I now have 2 suits, 2 shirts, and a tux from Enzo and I will continue using them going forward. Enzo is definitely the best place to get a suit, period. I had never tried custom, but for whatever reason my body type does not do well with off the rack suits. Finally I decided that with all the alterations, I could probably get a custom suit for around the same price and got referred to Alex at Enzo. I'll start with the experience. The showroom is perfect and private. I brought my girlfriend along with me and we were greeted to the showroom with our choice of coffee, water, whiskey/bourbon/ scotch, and beer - great way to get started in my opinion. Alex started by getting a sense of what already existed in my wardrobe and what would be the best and most versatile fit for my first suit. She pointed out all of fabrics I had to chose from and based on what I told her, narrowed it down to three perfect choices. She was also very transparent about price and what going up/down would achieve. I was shocked to find out that the starting price for a suit is ~$550 and that is a great suit! I went up a level because I liked the color better but was still in the low ~$600 range which is an amazing price. The best part of all of this was that I really felt like Alex was on my team, not trying to sell me anything. All of her recommendations had great reasoning behind them - including the ones that cost less, not more. The suit is AMAZING! It is so personalized from a fit and design standpoint. Like I said earlier, I am hard to fit, and this suit fits me perfectly. After getting one suit here, I will never go anywhere else.
