I called office late June due to my husband not feeling well. NO sick appointments for 5 days, with another Dr in practice. they told us to go to urgent care. long story short admitted to ER with bowl blockage. The next week I developed shingles and again no SICK visits for days. went to ENT And he treated me but needed to see primary or neurologist . I go an appoint with neurologist but had to wait as a new patient. called Dr Carbral's office again on 7/27/26. earliest appointment 8/10. This is unacceptable as far as I'm concerned. I use to work for a large family practice and there were always sick appointments added if Dr felt the need. I guess this office is only good if you need to be seen for a non emergency. I'm leaving this practice and going to Stony Brook which will always find a sick appointment somewhere in their system. I guess this is why urgent care and ER's are packed. you can't get into Dr"s if god forbid you get sick

She was pleasant the whole time, very professional, and friendly one stick and I was done so I was very happy to meet her and have her do my blood draw.

On the date in question, my phlebotomist Emily, called me in & then asked for a urine sample. I told her that I was empty & asked if I can do the lab then try, she insisted I do it right then & there. I struggled but produced (sorry). Then it's time for me to sign my name on the pad. Emily got mad because I didn't put the pen back in its place. Luckily when she stuck me, it didn't hurt. She was cold & rude. Not what I'm used to at this location. I hope she or her colleagues see the reviews. Emily needs retraining or to sit behind a desk away from the public. She is miserable.

The surgery went so well including the general anesthesia and I woke up not being sick or drowsy at all. They were prepared for every little thing at Stony Brook Hospital. I just got home yesterday after spinal surgery and except for some minor adjustments with pain medication I am feeling great. Walking, sitting, standing and showering by myself. I am very pleased with the surgery and especially Dr. Labiak. He kept in contact with my daughter after the surgery to explain everything to her but then also came to see me the next morning. He was wonderful. The wait for an appointment is pretty lengthy but now I can see why. Also the "open" hours for the office are a bit irregular so check the website for hours.

On my third visit to Dr Sheren, I still did not have the prescription he kept promising for my double vision. I had taken the visual field test at his office on a previous visit but he could not locate the file and told me I would have to take--and pay for--the test again. I had also had a brain scan and several blood tests with results sent to him but he would not discuss them with me. Worst of all: I HAD WAITED IN HIS OFFICE FOR TWO AND A HALF HOURS TO GET ALL THIS NOTHING FROM HIM. I had also complained of dimming of light while reading and he said he would tell me how to fix that BUT HE NEVER DID. I had brought an application for access to county transit service based on my glaucoma which he had to sign. He told me he was too busy to sign his name and date. So I gave him the application and asked him to sign it when he could and I showed him the address on the first page of the application. He took the application but never signed nor sent it in so that I still cannot make use of this assistance WHICH I NEED TO GET TO HIS OFFICE. IT TAKES ME TWO HOURS TO DRIVE THERE and another two hours to get home I AM 84 YEARS OLD AND CAN'T YET DRIVE SAFELY BECAUSE HE HAS NOT YET PRESCRIBED THE RIGHT LENSES FOR ME. The whole time he spent with me he was slouched down in an armchair with his legs spread out in front of him and looked like he was about to go to sleep. I think Northwell makes its doctors schedule too many patients per day. They are always behind schedule and too fatigued to work.
