I don't leave many reviews, and most of them tend to be positive. Where do I begin? Came in for an…read moreevaluation for severe back pain that had been going on for years. I was desperate by this point: he took less than 10 minutes to evaluate me (you know, the one leg being shorter than the other, stand up straight, bend forward, etc . . . ) and then launched straight in with the Activator Method - sort of a clicky-pen-thing that gets clicked where you have pain. It's not supposed to hurt apparently, but for the record I was in excruciating pain every time he did it - maybe that should have been a clue for both of us? Me: "Are you going to do any tests or anything?" Dr. Cooper: "Were you in a car accident or any kind of traumatic fall?" Me: "Not that I can think of." Dr. Cooper: "Then don't worry about it." Click, click, click. 2 minutes later . . . Dr. Cooper: "Stand up and walk. Feel better? Right? Don't you feel better, right?" Me: "Um, I'm not sure?" Dr. Cooper: "Well give me a month and you'll be feeling better. Come in at least three times a week." I asked him about getting pre-approval for my insurance, and he said he would. Three weeks later he still had not submitted any paperwork. At that point I decided that not only was I NOT actually feeling any better, but I was aggravated that he hadn't followed through on the authorization, AND I was having to come in the late afternoons which truly didn't work for me as morning sessions were much more convenient with two children. I also never saw any staff there either - he makes the appointments, he takes the money, and he does the "adjustment." Fast forward, I start seeing a new chiropractor the following week: instead of a 3-minute appointment, these appointments take almost an hour. There's heat and stim on my lower back, 10 minutes on the traction table, followed by a careful and thorough adjustment that does not hurt. After a week with no improvement in my overall pain and stiffness, I was sent by this new chiropractor for an xray and then an MRI. Lo and behold I have 2 herniated disks. A month later again with not much more improvement, the new chiropractor refers me to his partner, a physiatrist/sports medicine doctor. He does a complete evaluation and based on my symptoms sends me out for bloodwork. Guess what? I have an autoimmune condition that causes chronic, inflammatory arthritis pain in the back and hips. I was then referred to a rheumatologist. Without professional, competent, thorough care, no amount of clicking was ever going to help me. It's the longest review I've ever written, but it boils down to this: there are much better chiropractic places in Syosset to spend your money on. Places that have staff who handle paperwork and appointments which leaves the practitioners time to care for their patients diligently and professionally. Based on my experience, I absolutely would not recommend Dr. Cooper. Ever.

I go an appoint with neurologist but had to wait as a new patient. called Dr Carbral's office again on 7/27/26. earliest appointment 8/10. This is unacceptable as far as I'm concerned. I use to work for a large family practice and there were always sick appointments added if Dr felt the need. I guess this office is only good if you need to be seen for a non emergency. I'm leaving this practice and going to Stony Brook which will always find a sick appointment somewhere in their system. I had already scheduled a follow up with my podiatrist the week after I had my consultation with Dr.Levenstein. Both doctors were diametricakky opposed in treatment and diagnosis. But I continued on with Dr. Levenstein. I am amazed.. each treatment gave me more range of motion and less pain. I'm out of my sneakers and wearing real shoes.
