This place is a little bit more expensive than the norm, but I would say that it is worth it. It is almost always packed when I am in here.. I always make an appointment because there is just no way no how I am waiting for my pedicure. I always get the deluxe most pimped out pedicure and do gel on my toes. They always do an incredible job and I do leave very happy with my pedicure. I have gotten pedicures from quite a few different techs here but each has been amazing. There is one lady who does one of the hardest feet massages on this planet so I would probably try to steer away from her lol. I do come here almost every month for my pedicures but sometimes mix it up with the Envy nails in Uptown! It is clean, comfortable, and nice in the actual salon as well, so definitely do recommend! read more

I called 15 minutes in advance and Envy was able to squeeze me in for a pedicure. I was in DIRE need, so I figured why not? The salon is cute and sort of hidden in plain sight. I've been in this area several times and have never noticed it. I wasn't expecting much but ended up glad I stopped in! The salon was quiet, relaxing, and the prices were very reasonable. I spent $55 for the Uptown Pedicure which included gel polish, an exfoliating scrub, and a hot stone massage that almost put me right to sleep. The salon is smaller, so it's not as "fancy" as some other salons I've been to, but it's not something I mind. My pedicure looks great, I was relaxed enough to fall asleep, and I got in right away. Came for a pedicure in the middle of the day. They were moderately busy. Very little parking available in the lot as it is shared with other businesses;street parking is best. My pedicure was average, nothing special but a bit shorter than I expected given the price I paid. Wish there was more massaging and callous removal (which I thought I paid extra for). Overall, I was in and out in an hour. Color selection is average as well as what appears to be the skill level. Was a bit disappointed by how cold the products were before being applied. read more

Didn't like the way they did dip nail. Not very many salons know how to do it yet since it's pretty new. The envy nail on France ave in Edina is the place to go, if you want dip nails. Mistakenly, I thought it was a franchise or same salon owner, NOT the case. What I didn't like: they fused the dip nail with my cuticles, not leaving any space in between. So it grew out terribly. I left a review yesterday and the owner replied fabricating a story about me not wanting to pay? Money is never a problem. I'm a licensed healthcare professional and make good money. I paid a $20 tip for lackluster service. Anyways. I went in for a pedicure and full set. My pedicure experience was very nice. I asked for a deep French tip, which no one knew how to do. They began speaking amongst each other for quite some time, trying to discuss how the hell I was gonna get the French tip I suppose. To which they tried to convince me to get the plain, straight-line French tip. I declined because I prefer the deep looking French. I originally asked for this on both my hands and feet, but they literally told me they couldn't do that on my feet....so I chose a solid color on my toes AND hands to make it easier on them. I also like my hands and feet to match. Ok so the full set- I'm literally telling the manicurist that my nails are looking too wide for my liking. I usually opt for a slender shape, a little wider than coffin, if you know what I mean. She said, "I never make wide nail" and proceeded to tell me her technique never produces wide nails. Ok...but I was literally sitting there looking at my WIDE nails. They were also VERY thick. I had requested that milky-white color (powder) that you see on Pinterest and other social media sites, and it took them forever to find out how to do it. Staff were literally bouncing ideas off of each other out loud (in English and their native language), giving instruction on how to create my inspiration photos. The woman ended up not doing it correctly. Instead, she just packed her concoction onto my nails in thick layers. The end result was too opaque for the look I was going for, but I knew she didn't take criticism well so I just kept my mouth shut and went with it. I used to love to come to this shop. But now, every time I go, the staff are new. There was a woman there months ago that used to do my deep French just the way I like it. Then all of a sudden, she disappeared and I didn't see her there anymore...so I had to let others do my nails. But the company lacks integrity, as the owner commented on my last review throwing me under the bus when I was just being honest about my experience. I sought out a different nail salon to fix the full set they installed and the manicurist there literally said my nails were really thick and asked where I got them done. If all you want is a quick polish on your natural nails, this place is ok. Anything more intricate, seek service elsewhere. read more

Really stellar nail salon! I'm fussy and this little place put a huge smile on my face! Prices are more reasonable than many other places in Minnie. Gel pedi was $42! They also have a frequent visitor card - love that! So many colors to choose from and the gel polishes are nicely organized in a little basket. Pedicure chairs are easy to operate and work well. Atmosphere is relaxed and calming. Not chaos like some other salons. I did make an appointment during a week day afternoon and was glad I did. Place was busy! My friend recommended this place and although I was a little skeptical about the location I decided to try it out. There is plenty of parking behind the shop so you don't have to worry about that. Only 4 people work there so I would recommend making an appointment in case it's busy. When I went there were about 7 girls there for prom in addition to other clients so I'm definitely glad I made an appointment. I got a mani and pedi which were both exceptional. The service was above and beyond any other salon I've been to. The man took his time to do a flawless job despite the crowd waiting. He didn't rush and carried a lively conversation with me which showed me he cared. His extreme attention to detail made sure that every edge, cuticle, and overall color was perfect. Beware - The colors I chose from the samples were nothing like the actual colors of gel polish I ended up with yesterday. I paid $90 and had to come back today to have it removed. Made appts for mani-pedis with my daughter for her bday. It was packed when we arrived. She was squeezed in first, her pedi was done before I got a chair. Young man who did my pedi was told by surly manager to do my MANI while I was in the pedi chair! It was awful! He had no light and I did not get a professional manicure. I usually have a good experience here, but I was SO disappointed with my last visit. I asked for extensions and dip manicure. My cuticles were overgrown since I hadn't had a manicure in a while and my technician did nothing to them! She then forgot to add the extension, and when I asked about it, she laughed and said "oops" and continued to do my nails without adding the extensions. When all was said and done, the pictures show how my nails looked after I left the salon. I had to go home and do a lot of work myself since my nails were such a mess! In hindsight, I should have said something in the moment but I didn't want to be rude or criticize. The tech was very pleasant, so perhaps it was just an off day. But for $50, I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

**UPDATE** I will say that the color is AMAZING and that I have gotten so many compliments on the color (gel nails) but it's been only 9 days and it's started to chip, and some look like they are going to peel. Usually my gel nails last over two weeks before anything starts chipping or peeling original review: I just recently realized this place was SO close to my house so I had to check it out! Great color selection, friendly staff, clean, comfy pedi chairs, and comparable prices to others I've seen in the area! The owner (I assume, based on other comments) was so nice, greeted me immediately, got me in a chair and got a water! Also offered to help me with the chair functions (I never understand those things!) the ONLY reason I would not give it a 5 and I mean I'm saying like a 4.9 here is that some of my toes seemed a little unfinished (one needed filed one had a missing spot) but honestly.. I'm just so darn picky- no one would notice these things. I cannot wait to go back, because it was honestly really nice! It was clean and they did a good job of cleaning once an area was done being used, however, their pricing is not priced correctly as they up charged for dip on my natural nails. The nail techs rushed us on our appointment and were a little rough as they patted off the powder dip and rough with pummel stone on the top of her feet during the pedicure. I came in last Saturday March 7th for a walk-in gel polish fill and a regular paint pedicure. Since it was a warmer weekend it was pretty busy as expected. While there was a shop full of employees, most tending to customers, a couple of others not, everyone saw me walk in yet it took 10 minutes for someone to say hello, ask me "what you want?", and shoo me to a waiting chair. As someone who has been getting their nails done for over a decade, and as a Black woman, I've become conscious of the difference in treatment between myself and other Caucasian customers. This was my first time at this shop so I was hyper aware, and to my disappointment there was a clear difference in warmness/tone and timing of greeting with those who arrived after me. Eventually I was placed into a pedicure seat and received their level one pedicure service. No complaints there until now, a week later, the paint is already chipping on my toes. This never happens to my feet unless it's been over a month and exposed to the elements. It's winter. I've only had on warm socks and closed toe shoes. This is disappointing. Once I made it to get my gel fill the service still wasn't very friendly, however, she perfected my shape and I was happy with my end result. Once it became clear towards the end of my service that I wouldn't be a problem customer I was offered water. I politely declined and paid/tipped out. Again, not the best overall experience I've ever had but I was satisfied enough with plans to return on a less busy day for my next fill just to give the shop a fair chance. This shop is super close to my house and I've been trying to find a reasonable replacement of the shop I normally go to deep in Bloomington. Now, here we are, 8 days later, and I have chipped gel-polish on my hands, a broken pointer finger nail, and chipped regular polish on my big toe. I'm annoyed but took responsibility for aggressively cleaning an appliance resulting in me breaking the nail. The very next morning, today, I got up to make sure I could get there right at open. Again, it's a weekend and would likely be busy but I just wanted a nail repair and the chipped gel fixed. I walk-in, about 5-6 employees are there tending to customers. I respected that but once again, literally everyone in the shop (customers and employees) turn and watch me come in. Yet I'm standing there for 10 minutes, sitting by 15, before someone asks me " what I want" doesn't even turn her head in my direction and no hello. I let her know I was in a week prior and my nail broke, and the services I'd need. After a long drawn out pause, she told me to come back later. After looking around confused, I clarified "you'd like me to come back?" She replies shortly saying "yes we busy" and when I asked how long before I could get the services, I literally watched her roll her eyes with yet another long pause and tell me an hour. I could recognize I wasn't the only one receiving this interaction as strange because the other customers looked on awkwardly. At that point I opted out of this nail salon and went a couple of blocks down to Mahalo Nails. Immediately there was a night and day difference in my experience with the same amount of traffic between the salons. I will not be returning to Envy Nails. I'm sorry that I didn't take notes of names and before and after photos. I cannot say my experience at Envy nails was of pure racial bias, but I will say they need to work on their customer interactions and quality of services while busy. I'm pretty empathetic to those in the service industry and go out of my way to be decent and understanding while things get chaotic. Envy Nails just won't be receiving my business any further. read more

This is a wonderful example of how a place can win you back even after a negative experience. I scheduled an appointment for a Sunday, arrived a bit early and picked my colors. Immediately I wanted to get out of there. There were a few customers who being SO loud, talking about very personal subjects and had brought alcohol with them. This is a small space so there was no escaping these two. I was seated directly next to them and after 20 minutes of waiting and increasing volume I got up and left with my feet wet. It was just not relaxing. Later that night I got a text from the manager (Eriq) apologizing for the noise (which was not the fault of the staff) offering me a $25 credit to come back anytime. I was shocked and I could not believe the followup! I thanked the manager and came back a few days later. Eriq remembered me and thanked me for giving them another chance. Ivy (Eriq's adorable wife) did my nails and was very thorough asking me questions the whole time on what I wanted. She was very detail oriented. The massage chairs are awesome, the music was relaxing, they give you a whole bottle of water and they even have a punch card rewards program! I will be back! read more

Absolutely amazing. Envy Nails never ceases to amaze me. I have gone to SO many nail salons around MSP before, and this is hands-down the absolute best of them all. I almost didn't write this review because I don't want the salon to get popular and busy once everyone finds out! First and foremost, the workers take their time. I have always gotten three coats of nail polish (by recommendation from them), and they do NOT rush through to produce a sloppy job and get customers through the door. They do not talk badly about you in another language like some other salons do, they always make sure to cater to your needs, are careful and precise, the salon is flawlessly clean, the wait is never that bad, and the prices are far cheaper than alternatives. My gel manicure lasted OVER A MONTH with no chips or bubbles in the polish! They also have a pretty great punch card reward system for frequent customers. I highly, highly recommend going here - I have recommended friends to this place and they were astonished by how amazing/careful/wonderful every worker is. Overall, I have never received such amazing service that goes above and beyond the typical nail service appointment! Service is top notch!!! Even the lowest pedicure option included a lovely hot stone massage rub. My pedicure/manicurist paid more attention to detail than anyone ever has. If she noticed even one minuscule speck off, she'd check every single finger to ensure that they were all perfect and balanced. When we had to leave a bit early from the drying machines (the perfectionism comes with a small price - also the longest regular mani pedi I've ever had at about 1 hour), someone came to help us out super drying oil on our nails, placed plastic bags over our toes and carefully slide our feet back into our shoes.
