Jenny was very detail oriented, she did a very careful job curing my gel x set and shaping my nails. She even went the extra step of sealing the bottoms of the nails so water could not get in which would cause them to come off sooner. On top of that, she made sure I was satisfied before proceeding through each step, I was so appreciative because I can be a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my nails. I have been coming here for a few months now after struggling to find a nail salon that I felt comfortable with. I was fortunate to get set up with Nhi and she is now my go to nail tech! I got a dazzle dry manicure and pedicure. My middle finger on my non dominant hand is chipped 24 hours after getting it done. I'm extremely disappointed, and I don't see a satisfaction guarantee or fix policy. I thought the place seemed clean, and I really enjoyed the pedicure. They don't have all dazzle dry colors, but I was able to find one I liked. The manicure seemed decent, though she did start working on another client while my nails were drying (which was super weird to me). But, just over a day after getting them done, I already have a chipped nail! (No, I haven't washed dishes without gloves or anything specifically that might chip nails.) I did a lot of research on where to go for a pedicure. I'm talking research on research, everything within a 50 mile radius of Minneapolis that was open on a Sunday. I combed through a hundred or so spas before deciding on Jenny's. The reviews were almost all positive, and any negative comments weren't based on service or products so I was confident in my choice. To make things easier I made an appointment online with Amy for a pedicure based on reviews (which was super easy). Follow the instructions on the website, it's a little hard to find. I arrived with a friend who didn't have an appointment about 7 minutes early, and the place was packed. We were seated right after picking a color and dipped our toes in the warm water. Side note- if you're a plus size girl these chairs are a little tight. About five minutes into our soak Amy started on my friend and told me she would help me afterwards. I'll be honest, this was annoying considering I made my appointment with Amy, not my friend. Plus, the point of going together is to finish together. About half way through my friends pedicure my water was cold. Once she began painting another employee came to do my pedicure. It was obvious that despite my request and booking I wasn't getting to work with Amy. I got there at 308 and didn't leave until 440.., an hour and thirty minutes when online it says 30 for regular polish. Insane. A regular pedicure is $42 and I was charged another $5 for gel removal, which is pretty average. Overall will we come back? I don't know. I'm not going to jump at the chance to come back, that's for sure. I think I would rather go somewhere else M-F where I'm getting the person I booked with and not being left in cold water. read more

I took my niece here to get her first full set. It's in Edina above the Starbucks and Lunds & Byerly's. We parked the second or third floor of the ramp and were able to walk right up to the floor that they're on. They were able to get us in fairly last minute and have a great, clean set up in their shop. We had Tim do her nails and I'm SO glad we did. He was so helpful and really catered his services to her nails and hands. Since she's young, it was important that it was done specifically. He was good with her and helped us make decisions that would best suit her hands. I typically go somewhere else for my nails, but after taking my niece - I've got to try them out for myself. I should start by saying that I rarely ever review businesses, certainly not negative ones, but had such a terrible experience at Jenny's Nails that I feel compelled to share, given my experience and how the business handled it (or rather, did not). I visited Jenny's for the first time last weekend, after making an appointment. After arriving, my anxiety spiked off the charts after walking in. I am used to busy nail salons, but something about the atmosphere was really overwhelming--very busy, crowded and loud. There were only a few chairs to sit while I waited for my appointment. Chairs are on top of each other, with back spikes affixed to the wall (nail color sticks). Seated in the pedicure chair, was not any more relaxing. The pedicure itself was thorough, and my nails look really nice. But my technician, Michael, after hearing that I do not get manicures--choosing to do press-ons for longer lasting and healthy nails--talked me into returning the next day for a dip manicure. "It will look so beautiful, it's healthy for your nails and last 3-4 weeks." I returned the next day, and it was a fairly quick process--I left after about 35 minutes and $55, tipping Michael $20 (my only cash), with my nails looking good. I was optimistic, given he was overly confident in how "good" this dip is for my nails, and how long it will last. I'm thinking, "wow, I can't believe that I didn't try dip sooner!" Cue me, within three days, leading a large-scale event, my hands on fire with inflammation and cuts all over. I had to soak my hands in Epsom salt--stinging even more--and lathering them in petroleum jelly and thick lotion to stop flaking and burning. I scheduled an appointment to remove them as soon as I could, which means that this "miracle" dip manicure lasted a whole five days. Already upset enough that I wasted $75, I scheduled the appointment with Michael to remove them, thinking that he would be apologetic for talking me into it and not charge me to remove them, only days later. Wrong. As I walk into Jenny's, he sits down another client right in front of me--no explanation for why he is not taking my appointment that I booked the day before with HIM--and I have to wait for another technician to remove the dip from my still burning hands. This frustrating situation could have been made right by keeping the appointment I made, apologizing for talking me into this service, and waving my removal fee. This isn't hard. It's customer service. The other technician is super rough, leaving acetone-soaked hands in gloves for longer than necessary while he works on another client. I finally take them off because my hands are literally bleeding and feel like sandpaper. And then he proceeded to charge me $15 for the removal--oh and they don't take cards for under $30, so I had to leave him tip. $95 later and hands that look like I got clawed by a feral cat. No apology by Michael or the salon, which told me everything I needed to know about their customer service. I will never go back here. read more

Customer service is excellent here! Mina did my manicure and she listened to exactly what I wanted. After I showed her a couple of pictures of what I wanted she gave me options on how we could accomplish the look. Throughout the process she asked regularly if I was satisfied with the way the nails were turning out. I asked her to cut my cuticles and she was gentle and careful. She also offered me a drink from the salon cooler. The salon is CLEAN, organized and well decorated. The chairs are comfortable and clean as well. They play hip hop and pop hits at a comfortable volume. I feel the prices are standard and I was more then willing to pay considering the great service and cleanliness. read more

Jenny's Nails has tons of space, brand new air filters (because nobody likes breathing in chemicals!), and appointments available all day. Alex took great care in trimming and shaping my toenails, and the hot towel lotion massage at the end was longer than I've experienced anywhere else. At my nail appt, I felt pretty uncomfortable. I didn't know the nail tech's name but he had a lot of tattoos. He shouted across the salon at my friend right when she got there, and he made some comments about my toes that were comfortable. He said I had "nice toes" and recommended certain colors that would "look nice on me". He proceeded to make conversation with me and interrupted my friend and I talking a lot. He then proceeded to say I had "broken and janky feet" and that they looked "bad when I came in and he fixed them". He also asked if I would be "drinking a lot for the holiday coming up". Then, when I went to pay at the end, he asked me if I was tipping and he hovered over me as I went to the tip screen at the end. I was extremely disappointed and had never been talked to like that at a nail salon. The other female nail techs seemed nice. Do not recommend going to this place. I came here for my first appointment with a nail tech, Tim. I heard really good things about him. While he always did an amazing job here, I wasn't a huge fan of this establishment. It's a small space. Feels crowded. Which impacts my idea of a relaxing nail appointment, as a person with anxiety. Parking can be a pain. My first appointment, I was late (my fault!). After a few minutes of waiting, someone other than Tim asked to do my nails. I appreciate them asking, but I did book with Tim for a reason. I'm not sure if they can see whether you chose your tech, but not a big deal. I came back a few times for Tim. They don't have a lot of polishes, stickers, etc if you're a design girly. I would come in with a specific design in mind and Tim would often have to mix things for me or we just wouldn't be able to do it due to the businesses lack of products. I'm giving this place a 2 because Tim is no longer there and it's disappointing. He was always very nice, pleasant and did a wonderful job. If anyone knows where he went, let me know! Rating this a 2 primarily because my tech is gone and I didn't care for the space, environment or products here. read more

I'm a professional hairstylist who have worked in spas last 25 years and my sister I decided to go to Jenny's Nails . My sister and I called 2 hours before for 2 manicure appts.(easy) . It was packed ,very loud ,closing in 3 hours but still packed people in and overlapping walk-ins . I've been to several nail salons like this and always been atleast happy with manicure . This was the worst experience ever . We waited atleast 15 mins to get put at the table ,waited more time waiting for the guy (don't remember his name ) He had a mad ,rude look on his face whole time . That wasn't even the worst !! Every thing was SUPER Fast and while I'm a licensed manicurist,he did everything half ass. Worst gel manicure of my life! Starting off he rushed me choosing a color and then said no to it, so I was trying to decide one. But he was careless and just kept rushing through the manicure. He didn't care when I asked him to slow down because it was hurting how fast he was filing my nails down. He also filed them down too short where I can see the skin under where normally my nail is and it is super uneven shape. Plus the gel manicure polish is all bumpy and lumpy on my fingers but he didn't care because he just wanted to get it done. He checked his phone 5 times while painting my nails.
