I thank Jim and Connor for doing an excellent job of answering many questions about my wasp issues. Jim did not pressure me in using his company and I felt like his knowledge was valuable. I know dealing with wasps can be difficult and I was told that their company would be able to handle any situation I had. I was pleasantly surprised and happy with the quality of service I received. I was not persuaded to sign up for a year's worth of unnecessary service and that to me is fantastic. I'll just call them when I need them. Connor said the service I got would last until next year. I contacted Jim several weeks ago about a clothing moth infestation. He went through all the things I needed to do before he arrived, which included examining every item of clothing in my closets, having my carpets cleaned, and purchasing some traps. I followed his advice and called him back. We concluded that his tips may have gotten rid of the clothing moths and his services weren't needed. All of this advice was free! Reached out to get help with spiders in and around our new home rental. They responded right away with a reasonable price and came out the next available day (which was one day for us). They communicated how long they would be, sprayed everywhere we asked and places we did not even think about it and gave a warranty for their service if we had any future problems. All of that and they were friendly and professional the entire time. Plus, they are texters which I appreciated with my busy work schedule. Although we have to wait and see how the chemical treatment takes, it did not leave an odor and our kids did not have any reactions to it as one has sensitive skin issues. I attempted to hire Jim and his company for a bed bug problem at one of my properties. Initial conversations indicated it would entail two chemical treatments and it would be guaranteed for six months to have no more bed bugs. Original quote was for $800. $350 for the first treatment and then $450 for the second. I had called around a little bit and this was on the lower end of the scale for what sounded like a fair price. Jim sent me a instruction sheet on how to prepare my house for the chemical treatment. I followed the instructions and set up an appointment for Friday at 8:00 am. Plan was to call him Thursday evening and arrange payment for the first chemical treatment. I attempted to call Jim on Thursday evening around 5:30 pm and got no answer so I left a voicemail. After thinking about it, I realized hey I have nothing in writing guaranteeing anything so I better request something telling me this is guaranteed and put something in writing saying what exactly they are doing. Right now I'm blindly just paying him $350 to hopefully come over and do this chemical treatment. I have nothing saying what I am paying for. For all I know they can just say they came over and do nothing. They had requested I do not be there when they arrive to do the treatment so it made me a little leery on whether they would actually do the job. I was to provide a door code for entry. I don't think it was asking too much to have some sort of written agreement telling me what I was paying for. Another thing that made me leery was Jim sounded unprofessional over the phone and made me think he was a homeless guy by the way he talked. So my gut was making me nervous as before paying anything there should be something in writing saying what I am paying for and what is the expectation of what is going to be done. Sounds like a realistic expectation from a customer right? Wrong! This is the text I received from Jim: "Like I said. I don't guarantee anything unless I have serviced the property. In your case Bedbugs require minimum 2 treatments. Assessment is made after the 1st service. You're asking for guarantees prior to the initial service. Please reach out to another pest control company. The appointment is canceled. Good night" First off he never "previously said" he didn't guarantee anything unless he had serviced the property. This was new to me. It was not a deal breaker for me, he just needed to provide some clarification. I had called Jim a second time around 7:45 pm and still got no answer so I attempted to get this information clarified but he never answered his phone. Jim finally called me back at 8:33 pm and left a voicemail (when I had previously told him i would be playing tennis from 8-10pm and he never answered his phone twice when i was supposed to make payment) telling me he had never been to my house and would not be providing any guarantees. I texted well can you come out and do an assessment to tell me where we stand. No acknowledgement of that and he just responded with the above text cancelling service. This is a prime example of don't go by what they tell you verbally. Get something in writing! When I called him on his previous verbal promises he made (six month guarantee) it sound like he had told me this all before (which he hadn't). I'm very disappointed in this company for not attempting to work something out but instead telling me "you are asking too much and your calling me at 7:45 pm at night asking for guarantees". I am canceling service and find another company. Wow great customer service skills there Jim! When it looks and smells like a turd, it probably is. I'm getting this done the correct way by a more reputable company and staying away from companies who make me nervous like this one did. I know I'm better off and you should avoid this company unless he gives you something in writing! For someone to cancel me so easily after the customer makes few simple requests and clarification is a bad omen that should make any person considering hiring this company very nervous! read more

Jim was great at answering my questions on Miller Moth's. Although they don't come out and treat them ( since there is little they can do for flying insects) he gave me a lot of info on how to help make the best of a bad situation while those little pesty critters are here for the few months a year. 1. Sealing off all entry ways where they like to hide (windows and doors) and sealing up any screens that have rips or tears and weather sealing around doors. He says just the smallest of holes they will get thru. 2. Go outside at night and look inside your house and see where most of your light is coming in at and shut the blinds or curtains in those rooms at night . 3. Close doors off and using process of elimination to see where they weren't today but are in the am and then fix wherever that outside source is (cracks in windows or screens even air vents perhaps place a temporary screen. 4. Go outside and look for any outside entry ways where a pipe might be going into the house and seal off if not in use or place a temporary screen over the opening so they can't get in the house. 5. Eliminate most lighting outside your house and right before bed to temporarily discourage them . 6. Leave a shallow but long and wide container of soapy water approximately 2 in deep by 2 ft long and wide next to a light at night and they will fall in and drown. When I have some crippy crawlers in the future I will not hesitate to call on Jim and the folks over at Environmental Pest Control to come out and get rid of them. Thanks Jim read more

I read the reviews and was hoping for great service but was super disappointed. The technician arrived early and seemed knowledgeable about how to handle mice. However, he sold us a few baits, promised to give us a quote on taking care of weaknesses around our premises, but we never heard back even after calling. We had a very persistent mouse problem in our house. Easy to schedule with and the company representative arrived on time. He wore a mask the entire time and was knowledgeable and professional. He went underneath the house and took pictures to show me where mice were getting in. Set up a "bay station" and several other traps, we have not seen a mouse since. read more

I'm beyond disappointed by mankind. That was placed under my front porch deck, a year ago. I was outside tonight, and saw a rat under the patio deck. Jim originally told me that no one, except their company can open these rat things. Tonight,I did it(pretty easily, but the instructions to open it are the devil. Basically the opposite of how to actually very quickly open it.) This is what I found inside... nothing. They never put any rat poison in it, but they were certain, they were the only people that could only open it, and that I should get it refilled every 3 mnths. Single Mom, hustling. We called Jim when our bird feeder's leftover seeds dropped to the ground and soon created a rat family in our back yard. Jim came by three times, and for a reasonable price, got rid of them. Then we realized carpenter ants were chewing up our ceiling and dropping little wood chips everywhere. Jim came back, and two people from his company got rid of the ants, and he caulked everything up... no messes any more, and no nasty pesticide smells in our house at all! Jim always makes my appt when it's the easiest and most convenient for ME not the other way around like most others. They don't do unneeded fees for an inspection first and then another for the work. I called around looking for a solid, small pest control company as I have had the large companies like Orkin and Terminix before and I don't feel like there is that personal touch with those big guys. So, I ended up calling Jim at Environmental Pest Control and he was very nice on the phone. He was out of town but he sent his technician, Conor, over to lay traps and bait boxes for the mice situation. Conor told me that he would come by 1 week later to check to see if there was any action and he did. He then said they would be by monthly to follow up. Well it has been 5 months since the original service with no follow up visits. I have called Jim to inquire about the follow up service and he said he would get back to me. Still nothing! I guess the "personal touch" isn't there for this small company either. So $400 just to lay some sticky traps and bait boxes and never follow up. Jim with Environmental Pest Control really knows his stuff. He went above and beyond to help me with some bats I had living in my vaulted ceiling. He helped me with the exclusion of the bats and clean up of their guano. One night Jim was at my house after 9:00 pm to determine where the entry point for the bats was. He even sent me a video, showing me the bats coming and going from my house. Another morning Jim was at my house before 5:00 am to finish sealing up the entry point and to remove any bats that may have still been in my home. Even after Jim's job at my house was done, he offered to do a courtesy call and do one final spray for any other pests that could be at my home. Jim was super nice the first day he came to help up with Voles. He put whatever poison down and said it would take care of the situation. We noticed a continuing problem with the voles. We have called him 3-4 times now and he has never called back. He was quick to take our money the first time but won't follow-up even with a phone call. read more

Jim has been our go to pest control person for 20 years. No, we are not over run with bugs. We own rental properties and they have the occasional insect and other pest problem. Jim is an expert. He understands what is required and what works for each specific pest infestation. He does not "control" roaches like many other pest services we have encountered; he exterminates them completely. He has also successfully exterminated bedbugs from a couple of our rental units. He has taken care of roaches, bedbugs,wood eating ants, spiders, mice, voles, etc. for us.
